So I rooted my phone using Magisk, went smoothly.
I have a flashable zip of a font I want to change my system to, can I flash it via ADB? I'm guessing it needs to go to the correct slot?
Should I just do the temp TWRP route.

Yes used the app do switch the font, rebooted and now I'm hung on the green htc logo screen after the boot animation
I can get into bootloader/download mode.
Should I flash a stock ruu and start over
I think it's the best thing to do.
I am sorry for you. Fontfix worked great for me.

Hey I have a question. I just rooted my device and flashed a stock rooted Tom / kernel.
However now it seems as though the recovery (CW) is not sticking? It would just boot into the.Google screen and just stay there, and now it just boots back into the bootloader. And clockwork is nowhere to be found. Any ideas? And thanks in advance.

The stock rom will overwrite recovery on boot - this is done automatically. To prevent this delete/rename /etc/install-recovery.sh
Sticking at the Google screen is an issue with the ROM/Kernel combination you've chosen. Re-flash CWM and re-flash your ROM. If you're interested what's "sticking" you can likely adb shell logcat and see what is hanging or failing.
Thank-you. Will I have to repush the recovery and than rename the file? Or can I just edit the file the way my phone is now?

If you're rooted as long as you can boot you can rename/delete the file. Otherwise just:
-Flash CWM
-Flash your ROM (or boot if you can boot without issue)
-Rename the script (/etc/install-recovery.sh - name it whatever you want) - you'll either need to remount rw or use something like root explorer to make it easier
-You'll likely need to flash CWM again. You can do this via Rom Manager or manually via fastboot
At this point it should "stick" in the sense that it will not be overwritten on boot any longer.
One more question where is the location of the script that needs to.be edited in root explorer. As in the location.
Seriously thanks!

Looks like you're having issues getting into the recovery. That screen isn't the recovery, and I've had it before.
A lot of times, when you root on a stock rom, the phone deletes clockwork and restores the old recovery. That might be why you're having issues with it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895545
The second post on this thread describes how to make clockwork stick. You might need to make use of some adb commands OR get an app like Root Explorer.
1. Flash the recovery
2. Follow the instructions in the second post before rebooting your phone.
That should do it.

Actually it is. That's the stock recovery, but it's options are too limited which is why we use CWM.
Rest of your instructions should help the OP out though, good on that.

Just flash clockwork again and flash a non stock rom, or remove the file as described if u wanna stay stock.
Ya I think it was just freezing up got into recovery and installed new rom

Hello... I'm trying to change the boot animation on my SGS2 (ski-rocket)' with the app called "boot animation ",? But it doesn't change it? And yes I'm rooted. Am I missing something? ...anyone??
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
Boot animation on our device has been tweaked by Samsung. They're not using the same standard method most Android phones use. It's being worked on by a few of the devs right now and hopefully we've have something soon.
+1 For hating corporate logos.

If you are rooted navigate to root/system/media/
in that folder should be bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg
these are the bootanimations and some international ones have been posted for the t989 as far as I know. For bootanimation.zip to work it would have to be enabled on the kernel level. Good luck and enjoy your devices !
***The AT&T logo is most likely a logo.rle type of image that is embedded in the kernel itself, that is the case on the t989 and is more than likely mirrored on the i727
Hmmm.. rle files. There are actually two of those in the root directory.
initlogo.rle and lpminitlogo.rle
I googled a little on how to convert these around but can't do much from work (several paid apps, didn't verify if they work). Who can convert these and how can we convert other boot animations to this format?
boot animation request
I would love for someone to figure this out. I would like the Galaxy Nexus Boot animation on this phone.
Who ever is working on this I would be more then happy to donate to your cause.

Of course Rooted

ICS Boot up

SGS2 Bootup

right now you need to use custom ROM to do that.
this ROM work great and it let you change the boot animation http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377087

Neither of these worked for me on my SR. CWM showed ICS installed fine, but when I rebooted it was still the Samsung and AT&T animations. So then I went back to CWM and installed the SGS2 boot, but I got the same result.

If I boot the phone up, it get's stuck on the HTC screen.
When I go to bootloader and select recovery it goes to TWRP. When I select a .zip rom to install it always fails.
Suggestions?
I rooted my phone yesterday and got a boot loop. I fix that by downloading the official RUU for the phone from HTC website and relock bootloader, flash the RUU. I don't know what happened to you though

what does it say when it fails installing the rom? are you sure the rom is for the right device?
also, maybe the rom is corrupt? you could try downloading it again (if you are sure it's for your device).
Turn off md5 check in twrp. Then try flashing again. If your on Hboot 1.14 you'll need to flash that boot IMG for that rom in adb first.

i downloaded twrp 2.3.3.0 from goo apk it automatically installed. i booted into recovery wiped everything , but sd ofcourse, so to flash back to magiorom, and bootlooped every since. Cant reboot recovery, it flashes twrp then back into bootloop. adb does not recognize my device??? idk why never been a problem b4. any help would be appreciated. im s-off just ruud to 3.18 a couple days ago and touchscreen downgraded

Fastboot was working because you were in bootloader. Adb requires you to be booted into a ROM with usb debugging turned on.
