Well, this goes for people who have the Moto G6 device (ali) I have the variant for colombia xt-1925-2 yesterday unlock the bootloader of my device with the fear that my phone would be dead or brick mode, anyway, the Rom Pie that there is in these forums, and has the problem that the moto Mods does not work either is not enabled to work the sensor as the main button, rom as Resurrection remix, Pixel experience but all failed, some per non-certified device for play store or play protect, or in cases the rom ali 9.0 treble that also had problems with distorted audio, it's not worth it, unlocking your phone are many errors that there are in the rom, fortunately I could re-block the bootloader of my Moto g 6
I could go back to factory firmware with bootloader oem_lock
regards
I leave images of the room ali 9.0

Hi,
I bought my Moto G from an online store in Romania. The phone is great, but my firmware is AsiaRetail and I would like to change it to a European one, or even the Global version. Can that be done without rooting my phone? Can I somehow select which version to install with the upcoming update? If so I would be very grateful!
Thank you!
Just flash eu retail firmware with xda guide. You don't have to root etc.

Yes but it seems like I have to unlock the bootloader. I've had a lot of problems with my last phone and lost the warranty because I wanted a stock android experience. This time I'm trying to keep it simple and safe (as long as I can before I start a flashing spree again)

You don't.

And talking about the flashing spree, I did surrender to it. Totally not worth it though, at least for now. Stick with stock, don't mess around, it's as good as it gets.

And what would I have to do to install a EU firmware without root or unlocked bootloader? All the guides I've found need at least one. Any help would be highly appreciated!

Dear friend, the following guide is intended for you. It does not require root, nor an unlocked bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
You'll probably want to wait until official 4.4.3 images are available - that way, you won't need to update your system after flashing, making for a very clean installation.
Enjoy
Sir im using Moto g 2nd gen xt1068 I have rooted my device & unlocked bootloader. Now I like to Unroot my device and lock the bootloader & return to stock official .I need my mobile back like i got from flipkart With receiving all OTA with official motorola rom ..please help me sir soon.
Sir you have unlocked the bootloader. Once the bootloader is unlocked no support from OEM is given. Since you have unlocked the bootloader and I think you want to run the latest version of android, I recommend you to try Cyanogen Mod. You can download it for your device just google it. It is far better than the stock ROM plus you can installl the latest android version ROM.

Hi there will be ota soon for honor 8? Where can you find out when it's going to be released ?
---------- Post added at 12:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:35 PM ----------
Also I just rooted and tried to flash the same nethunter zip that was working in 6.0 Android and 7.0 before rooting but non functional without root. But I will try again now. It looks like there is no nethunter available for nougat?

Yes I will reinstall when the firmware when the ota is released. But do you know when it's released in north America for the L04 model?
Also there is a video on YouTube I used for my rooted p8 lited that you can install nethunter without flashing the zip. I will put it in the next comment, but I only tried to flash it with this ROM. But something strange happened after I flashed it or the xpossed also. After I flashed the nethunter in the beta nougat the phone was bricked but the recovery was reset to the stock huawei one. After I use bootloader to reflash the nougat twrp I didn't wipe anything or the cache even in this whole process. But I flashed first this hw_eu zip or whatever it is, then the update zip. Then j don't wipe the cache or anything and when I start the phone it just starts again like it was just off. But it resets the recovery image again and j have to flash the root again. Idk if this is normal but j thought I'd just mention it since some people are working with this software right now.

I did it exactly like this on huawei p8 lite with android 6.0 rooted and it worked fine. Also I flashed the same zip of the android 6.0 nethunter for Nexus on this honor 8 when on 6.0 android and it worked great.
I remember I did get it to work somehow before on nougat beta for honor 8 but this was before the root method was found so it didnt do much.
I will take a look into this later in the week if there still isn't a clear explanation on here for you by then.
Thanks a lot to everybody!
I tried the vídeo and worked perfectly on honor 8 rooted.

Is anyone working on a custom rom and kernel for honor 8? I'm looking forward to buy one, and I wanna flash NetHunter on it...
Hey,
i recently found an interesting website.
techdroidtips.com/install-twrp-recovery-zte-nubia-x/
techdroidtips.com/root-zte-nubia-x/
Do you think this is fake or is it worth a try?
I guess unlocking the bootloader and rooting might not be the most difficult thing (according to the history of nubia devices)...
but is it really that easy?
Im kinda getting the feeling that this is a self-generated website with nubia specs so it looks legit.
I believe these are somewhat fake.
The instructions are legit, this is the basic process to install twrp on any phone.
However, if you read through both sites where it says "click below to download twrp" its crossed out and there is no download link.
This is because TWRP does not currently exist for the Nubia X.
once TWRP is released for the Nubia X, which you can check in on here;
https://twrp.me/Devices/Nubia/
Then you can go back to those sites if you want and follow the instructions.
Also should mention those sites talk about installing CWM & Cyanogen on the X ....again these do not exist for the Nubia X
I'm keeping an eye on Nubia's Chinese forum to wait for a proper recovery ported by community developers, right now there's root but with a modified Magisk which can't be upgraded or further tweaked, I'm still waiting for a better one.

I guess you can't really flash a custom recovery with locked Bootloader, and this topic is about TWRP, not root.

look at post #49
yes, I have done the TWRP and flash the Gapps. it was almost one month. but sudden closing still.
I am looking to flash Xiaomi.eu 9.12.12 (based on android 10) from global stable 10.3.2.0 (based on android 9) but before I do I want to make sure I can go back if I need to. On the Xiaomi.eu page the MiMix 3 is not listed as having ARB enabled but other sites like the Mi forums and Reddit say that ARB is required to be enabled on Android 9+ by Google and that it is enabled on the Mix series. Does anyone have any definitive information either way?
TL;DR Looks like the Mi Mix 3 with an unlocked bootloader does not have anti-rollback protection that will brick the device when downgrading. If you want to double check you can utilize this ARB-Checker which grabs the ARB version out of ROM zip files. If the version it spits out for both the current ROM and new ROM are the same then you can switch between them without issue.
The Mix 3 has no ARB.
You can flash what ever you want when you have unlocked the bootloader.

You are welcome.
I flashed a couple of ROMs found here and of course Xiaomi.Eu.
Flashed them down and upwards without any problems.
At the end i still stay at the newest Xiaomi.Eu Beta Rom.
Is it the device, or is it that the roms don't have ARB? My understanding was that the MM3 had it.
---------- Post added at 08:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:53 AM ----------
Either way, it's not a big problem so long as you don't re-lock the bootloader.

Just to be safe I used an ARB_Checker tool on my current ROM (global stable 10.3.2.0) and on the one I want to switch to (xiaomi.eu weekly beta 9.12.12) and the ARB both came back as 2, meaning I can downgrade back to my current ROM if needed. As long as the ARB number is the same you can switch between them with an unlocked bootloader.
