CSC code change - Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) Questions & Answers

Hi,
I own A7 2017 with 8.0.0 running.
I do not know how it happened but, my CSC appears to be United Arab Emirates although I live in Turkey and phone is bought from local Samsung dealer.
Do I have the chance to correct the CSC without rooting?
Thanx in advance for the replies.
Regards.

CSC region code: ODX?!

I ordered my S8+ SM-G955F from the Telekom (T-Mobile DE) and their usual CSC is DTM but for some reason mine is ODX (I am not using the ordered flat rate but only its phone). After a little bit of research I found out that ODX is being used by countries like Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. Since the updates seem to be coming really late on this one (just received 11th March while 11th April is the actual current software) I wondered whether and how I could change the CSC to DBT (open Germany) *without* voiding any warranty, so that I will receive the Open German updates. Any help appreciated.

You can't change it to DBT, because DBT is part of the Multi-CSC OXM
When you flash the DBT firmware, it'll take the 1st CSC in the OXM Multi-CSC package, and that's not DBT

Well that would be good enough, wouldn't it? All I want is a CSC that receives the OTA's a little earlier than my current ODX (DTM).

Switching Firmware on Galaxy S8+

Today I tried switching my s8+ which is an Italian unlocked model (ITV) to a United Kingdom unlocked firmware (BTU). I followed all the steps as this is not my first time flashing firmwares with Odin. I found a thread online saying that since BTU is a multi CSC , I need to flash a ROM that's is outside the multi CSC , so I decided to flash a O2 ROM , straight after flashing the BTU hoping that it would change the CSC , but it didn't instead it stood on ITV, the country/region is still on Italy too. Can anyone explain what I done wrong pls ?
Why do you even care about csc ? Install rom for your coutry "global", not branded soft and that's all...
BTU is not branded, it's unlocked with no carrier. Updates are also provided directly from Samsung. I would like to change the ROM for faster updates and features

So according to what I read it's impossible to change the CSC to BTU on the Galaxy s8 unless you have a UK Sim. This used to be possible on the s7.

But NOT possible anymore on the S8/S8+
ITV & BTU are both part in OXM. When you flash BTU-ROM, your device will stay ITV because both are in OXM...

Yes, S7 didn't use the multi-CSC, each region had it's own CSC.
But the Euro S8 has Multi-CSC, so it won't change region until you put in a SIM from that new region.
Thanks guys for helping. I just wanted to change the CSC for quicker updates and for region specific features like Bixby Voice when it gets released in the UK.

Returning to Stock (G930F) - BTU vs VIR vs XEU?

Hello everyone, I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S7 (G930F). I want to return it to stock so I can resell it.
While looking for a Stock Rom for the G930F on Uptodato.com, I am presented with 3+ stock rom version:
- United Kingdom (BTU)
- United Kingdom (VIR)
- United Kingdom (XEU)
- and others updato (dot) com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=SM-G930F&exact=1&r=BTU%2CVIR%2CXEU%2CEVR%2CH3G%2CO2U%2CVOD&v=Nougat%28Android+7.0%29&rpp=100
Which one should I choose that does not have a specific carrier and will work in the US?
To my knowledge BTU is the factory regionless default
The app "Phone INFO" can tell you which firmware was originally installed on your device.

I believe only Phone INFO+ shows that, I have Phone INFO and it does not show me my original, it's blanc.
I have an SM-G930F, BTU. Phone INFO (not +) clearly identifies it as such. No blanks.

[HELP] NOTE 9, region not changed after flashing new ROM

Hi all,
I got Note 9 (N960F) 3 months ago from UAE. First thing I did was installing the UK (BTU) software in it as I'm in the UK.
Even though I'm currently on N960FXXS2ARJ4 build number [UK software] as it's available at SamMobile website
My Samsung Pay is still configured to UAE. And when I click on About Phone on the settings below the IMEI numbers, there is a United Arab Emirates section showing some TRA ID number.
Could you please help?
Anyone who can help?

TGY is Hong kong. You are only allowed to flash TGY or BRI (Taiwan) on N9750.
Only TGY or BRI

Sent from my God Mode 10+
Hi,
I have a N9750, according to Phone Info App:
Phone Model: SM-N9750 / Galaxy Note10+ (Dual Sim)
Made in Vietnam
Product Code: SM-N9750ZSDBRI
Frimware's CSC Code: TGY
Active CSC Code: BRI
Available CSC Codes: BRI, TGY
So, I understand that I have a BRI phone with a TGY rom and a the CSC active is from BRI.
I will do a clean flash with Odin, since my phone upgraded from Android 9 to 10, by OTA (that is why there is "mixed rom" - a BRI unit with TGY firm)
My doubts are:
1) Should I use BRI rom, is that correct?
2) After doing this flash. is better to change CSC Active to TGY? Using SamKey (someone says that it has more features)
I use the mobile in Argentina.
thanks!
