Bought it for $200 right from the promotion-sale and after a few days of playing with it I started looking for a firmware, the phone will need some tweaks. I mean, it's a cheap phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage but there is some issues with the software, it 'forgets' my fingerprints for example, or reverts to the factory launcher after every reboot - the phone doesn't like my Nova launcher.
...on the second thought, I decided to get my money back, lose 3.5mm jack connection -see the zip attachment, no OTA can fix that. Too bad, I was hoping to have some fun with this phone.
12/21/18 Update
I was curious to see if Gearbest continues selling the Poptel P60 despite having non ISO compliant 3.5mm phone jack and found out that they're trying to correct the problem by shipping it with additional “headphone adapter”, so people can use it:
Package Contents
Cell Phone: 1
Charger: 1
Earphones Adapter: 1
SIM Needle: 1
USB Cable: 1
That adapter wasn't included when I bought the phone back in November, I have my money back already refunded to my Paypal acct., it turns out that Gearbest Customer Service works very well, they have an US agent in California, the return went there shipped with 2-day 1st class USPS and they issued refund right away. No hustles at all.

Looks better than the first hiphone... seams even better than the Sciphone.
The camera SHOULD be 1.3 since all these chinese clones have a 1.3 camera, except fe. the t32 has a 2.0mp camera...
Do you know anything of the price?

It's street priced at 199$!
I heard for a clone it is good, but it has the typical hang ups of a clone. Slow UI and all that jazz. For 200 bucks though most of the reviews I have seen say it is worth it.

The folks at Gizmodo Australia have got their hands on what they're saying is training material for the soon-to-be-released (we hope) Nexus tablet. They're saying the tablet will be a 7-incher built by ASUS and be debuted at Google I/O this week just as expected. The specs are also pretty close to everyone's guess:
7-inch 1280×800 IPS Display
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (not confirmed to be 5.0 just yet)
1.3GHz Quad-Core Tegra 3 CPU
NVIDIA GPU
1GB RAM
8GB / 16GB Internal Storage
1.2MP Front Camera
8 Hours Battery Life
Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
NFC
The materials suggest the tablet will go up for sale in Australia sometime in July, so we expect it in the very near future in other places on the globe. Source : AndroidCentral
That leaves a few things left to wonder -- will it come in white? And what's the reason to buy it over any of the other Android tablets out there. We're half kidding about the first bit (although it would look very nice in white), but for the second there is one thing we know of to make it worthwhile -- updates direct from Google, with no carrier or OEM bull**** involved.
If you want an Android tablet, that's the one to get. If you need a reason to buy an Android tablet in the first place, we're hoping to see one this week at Google I/O.
Did you really trust Gizmodo?
I would like to see an SD slot and HDMI. I could see them leaving out HDMI to try to cut costs, but no SD slot is very Apple like and they did it with the Galaxy Nexus so I wouldn't be surprised.
I refuse to buy a device without expandable memory, my Touchpad was the exception since it was on the fire sale. There are plenty of free cloud services but data is expensive. microSD cards are cheaper and more reliable for storage than the cloud.
This could be real, given the way pictures were taken showing all the views. Unless they've covered it with 2 layers of plastic to hide the titanium coating :cyclops:

[Q] Found an unregistered iPad 4 / 64GB / Wi-Fi in a skip!

Yeah, as unbelievable as it sounds it's quite true. My friend saw a table in a skip outside a charity shop the other day that she thought she would take and restore. When she took it out she noticed something heavy wrapped in newspaper and several old Samsung (D400 type) mobile phones in the skip.
When she unwrapped an iPad she brought it to me to examine. It has a white front and a silver back with model: A1458 written on it. I couldn't turn it on as the battery is dead which is indicated by the battery symbol that appears on the LCD when the power button is pushed.
The charge / USB socket looks to be the new iPhone 5 socket for which I do not have a cable for at present so I was unable to tell what spec it was.
I tried to register it with Apple but when it asked for date of purchase (I made one up of about a week old) the website asked me to provide proof of purchase information and would not show me any details about it.
I found another site that claimed to I.D it by it's serial number and I took a picture of it (attached).
So tomorrow I will get a lead and see if any owner info is on it and if so contact them to find out what they did with it. However I have a feeling this is not going to be registered to anyone (if it powers up).
My friend just wants to sell it.
Can anyone give me some advice on the best course of action? I really don't want to just hand it in to the filth so some copper can give it to his brat in 6 months!
Cheers
Phill.

I highly doubt someone just discarded an iPad 4...do the right thing and take it to an Apple store and have them track down the rightful owner...if the owner can't be contacted or did, in fact, discard it...then have fun selling it or keeping it.

Question Finally got my preorder ... is AA bad for everyone else?!

Holy smokes... Android Auto is driving me crazy nuts on this S22 Ultra. Tried the offical cable from my Note9, and two expensive aftermarket ones and all 3 display a laggy, mess.
Trying to use Waze and Android Auto as a whole is unbearable on this flagship phone.
So much so, I've poped my sim back in my Note9 and thats doing the business.
Has anyone else got a lag-free S22 Ultra experience? (I'm in Australia btw)
I haven't had any issues, nor have my peers. Have you tried a fresh factory reset with no restoration of apps, just to rule out software?
Hmm, strange your is working and mines utter crap. I'm def not alone, as after posting i did some googling;

Rubbish.
UK here. Never had any issues. Tried with different cars and always worked perfectly.
Hmm... I'm going to flash both OPS (Optus) and XSA (Unlocked) firmware from samfw and see if either of them fix it before rooting again.
No issues with it plugged in or with a Motorola MA1. Only issues with Android Auto I have had were from AA wireless and the Motorola MA1 fixed that
I'm attempting to update my 2021 Hyundai Sonata N-Line's software in the car as a last resort -- but it went in for a service less than a month ago and they did it then...so not sure there'll be any good news.
i using a cheap Huawei Mate10pro as Android Auto and it works perfect. Stored in glovebox and forgot about it.
S22Utra as main business phone
I've been using the S22U on my 2018 VW Atlas with no problems at all.
Running it in a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus with AAWireless. No issues.
Mine's fine with a Kenwood head unit.
I'm not having problems with AA in my 2017 Opel. Had a few issues at the beginning, but those were related to the used cable. The cable I used for my previous phone (Huawei P20 Pro) was a Huawei SuperCharge / USB 3.0 compatible cable of I'd say at least decent quality. The S22 Ultra didn't want to connect at all using that cable. Switching to a chinesium cheap USB Type C to A cable that came with some gadget results in a stable connection and okay charging speed.

Pretty useless if you do not own one of these flagship models I'd say...
This update just popped up on mine today and I applied it (it zapped 5% of my fully-charged watch that was still on the charger the whole time!) Then the Wearable app wanted updating on the phone, so I did that as well. Seemed to work OK so far.

Yep. Fewer and fewer people care about "flagship" models. I bought an A52 5G and ended up with a very fast phone, SD card, several capable cameras, real headset jack, OLED screen, and in-screen fingerprint sensor for under $400 (a little more than a year ago). Or I could have spent, what, DOUBLE for a "flagship" with a little better CPU, case, and camera, while losing the headset jack I use all the time? No thanks.
I own the same smartphone A52s and exactly for the same reason.
Did you find a way to use the Camera Control (samsung official app) on our A52s?
I have updated the watch and now the back button doesn't work...
Am I the only one with this issue?
EDIT: ok, after a watch reset and restore it works again...
Finally rolling out for the my R890 in Denmark

I didn't and it sucks. I have to use third-party one (only camera one actually works for me), which lacks in picture quality.
