Network Cell Info Lite app from Google store used to show the current/near bands, but I don't see it anymore. Maybe the 'paid' version does.

LTE Discovery. It might require root. I don't remember. I haven't installed it on this phone, but I used it quite a bit on some other ones.
I think the lte band number on my (no root) OP6 in Network Cell Info Lite app went MIA after Pie upgrade, that's what I read in users comments in Play Store.

Has anyone gotten an Exynos S7 to work in the US with any of our carriers?
I'm so desperate for a rooted S7 Edge that I'm ready to change carriers if I have to. :crying:
It probably will work but it won't work well, especially with T-Mobile (no band 12 or VoLTE). Just wait m8
I have been using g930s variant along with g930f kernel + roms in the us tmobile. I live in DC and LTE has been just fine. Maybe i am missing a band but whatever

I'm using the Exynos S7 on cricket and it works flawlessly. Performance is stellar, battery life is incredible and I get great LTE coverage everywhere.

How can you confirm that? I got the Exynos international version, with T-Mobile SIM card. I have AIDA64 but not sure where to look to confirm or deny that the LTE Band 12 is not there.
Cheers,
G.

T-Mobile has to certify and allow the phone to work on band 12 or else it won't be able to make 911 calls. They've verified the US S7 but I don't think they verified the international version.
Hello there,
Well, I can confirm that LTE Discovery App shows the LTE Band 12 working with T-Mobile. I have walked around the building where I work, and it switches back and forth from Band 4 to Band 12.
Hope this helps someone asking if the Samsung Galaxy Exynos International Version SM-G930F works with T-Mobile LTE Band 12 !
Cheers,
G.

it's frustrating that others have said recently that band 12 is NOT supported. what about wifi calling?
Hi there !
I belive that WIFI calling and the reduced Internet speed while on a phone call, are the two things that are different on the Exynos. Tell me how to check and make sure WiFi doea not work and I will try for you. I have tested the second one, and indeed the Internet speed is way reduced when talking on phone. Depending where you are, it is either H+ or 3G.
Hope that helps !
Cheers.

i believe there should be a setting for wifi calling within the "more connection settings". if it's not showing within the settings, then it's not supported.
as for band 12, how reliable is that app you used? a lot of people have mentioned that band 12 is not supported on the exynos model, so i'm really curious how yours has it.
thanks!
OK, there is no WiFi calling setting under there.
As for how reliable the App is, I have no idea, sorry. I searched and found it was mentioned in XDA for checking this kind of settings/capabilities. I will take a screen capture of it once I am in a building and it is showing the band used. My understanding is that LTE Band 12 is particularly good and improves signal inside buildings.

ok thanks for checking! yea band 12 is important for me, as i'm in NYC and inside buildings all the time. the extended range would definitely help.

The Internattional version does support band 12. and it works, however for VoLTE you have to find a firmware that has it which is hard. the Czech t-mobile firmware has VoLTE but no WiFi calling
The "F" international version also has Band 17 for AT&T
why do people who DON'T have the phone act like they know what they are talking about.
Works fine on T-Mo, and ATT. you just miss out on some of the bands, and also carrier features like VoLTE.
my 930F works fine on Tmo. and it'll work fine on ATT as well.
I'm trying to use a signal checker to see what bands I'm using in certain areas. It show alot of information but never shows what bands I'm uaing. I've used 4 different apps doesn't make a difference

Try lte discovery. Theres a setting in the app that shows the band in the notifications at the top of the screen.
I don't see that option in the settings

It shows the band number as well as the actual frequencies, under the Signals listing. A very useful program.

Do you really check this on the Mate 9?
Unfortunately our device does not yet support showing the LTE band in the notification panel. Most of the Samsung's did, this is new for me as well.
I confirm that no app can display what LTE band is in use. Tried LTE Discovery and SignalCheck Lite

That may be the case in the US but not here in the UK.
Oh well guys I give up. There must be something on the US version that is blocking it
Or a carrier issue
Any app to show which 4G bands are aggregated in 2CA or 3CA for Huawei Kirin 9xx devices?
Need to switch to different bands anyone with working methods?
Wouldn't mind finding a way to turn off some bands muself. AT&T has grown fond of band 30.
I drive truck otr and use a signal booster and 30 and a few others are not covered using it.
ServiceModeRIL can do this. I keep band 13 turned off in my city because Verizon sucks and packs everyone on there so speeds, latency and signal quality are crap.
Who is your carrier? Are you rooted? If rooted then this is easy. If not it's still possible but it can depend on your carrier.

Firstly, if you're unrooted and on Exynos (G955F/G955FD), you're out of luck. The code is *#2683662#, however ever since the July update, all builds newer than that have that code disabled so you can't access ServiceMode through that anymore.
If you're rooted and on Exynos, you can use the 'Phone Info Samsung' app to launch either the 2683662 menu or the 2263 menu using root, both will allow you to select and change specific GSM, WCDMA and LTE bands.
If you're on Snapdragon (955U/955U1), you can try either *#2683662# or *#2263#, one or both should work.
Service mode code works on my Galaxy A50 exynos (Sprint) but nothing shows. It's blank.
I can't root this phone since it's not available for it.
Is there a way to unhide the options in service mode?
Use QuickShortcutMaker from Play Store to change or lock Band on both rooted and unroot samsung phones with Exynos processor.

I'm going to assume your carrier is an MVNO such as Metro PCS, the most problematic carrier with this device? If not, what carrier do you use?
Most of the times the fix is pretty simple. Go to Settings > Cellular Networks (make sure under Preferred network type LTE is selected) > Access Point Names and chose your correct APN. Is it jumping back to the incorrect one? Delete that incorrect one and any other ones that are related to the "parent" carrier and then chose the correct one. You can delete it by going into the APN as if to modify it and tapping the 3 dots on the top right. Can't find your carrier's APN? Delete all APNs one by one, then add yours, save and and select it.
If the above does not work, ensure that the OPO supports your carrier's bands, specifically for LTE.

Sorry for the late reply. According to information I find on the web, Tesco Mobile uses Band 20 for 4G, which the OnePlus One does not support. Other websites mentions it using Band 40, but I believe this is based on the fact that O2 (the parent carrier) has obtained this band and may not be fully implement on the MVNO (Tesco Mobile). I would suggest calling them to find out what 4G/LTE band they use. If they use Band 20 (frequency 800MHz), you will only get 3G, or HSPA/HSPA+ (H or H+ icon for your data on the top right). If it supports Band 40 (frequency 2300MHz), then we can try and see what is going on that may be stopping your 4G/LTE from working.
they use 800

Yes, sadly that means Band 20 for 4G LTE, which the OnePlus One does not support. You will only get 3G. Some carriers call HSPA+ "4G" because it can achieve decently high speeds for video streaming and so on, which isn't bad.
Hey guys, I've bought an SM-S908U1 and I'm having issues with mobile data speed. Some say it's because of misconfigured aggregations. Is it possible to fix this somehow? Might this be fixed if I change the region?
I mean, you're not giving us much info. You have a US Unlocked model, what carrier are you using it on?
Have you tried band selector and force your bands to use a faster band and test?
I have the same issue but amnaged to fix it by forcing my u1 to use a specific band here in Philippines. I have no 5G here since u1 has n78 locked on 5G and while on LT/4G I can use b7 here which is the fastest for LTE/4G

Hi! Going to ph or abroad?
In ph if you want to use 5G you can use an eSim which uses nr b41 but for prepaid (physical sim) your only choice is b28, 5, 3 and 1 for LTE/LTE+. Use band selector app from the playstore.
