Info wanted: Strange (software) problem w. WiFi, Qualcomm download mode did not help - Xiaomi Mi 4C

Does anyone know what changed regarding wifi in Android 8 or MIUI 10?
I was happily using LOS 14 for a while (after having officially unlocked my bootloader at some point in the past, but became curios and wanted to try out the new MIUI 10. While I could not find anything official, I did find this chinese dev ROM (I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU FLASH THIS). I flashed it, wasn't that impressed and then decided to try LOS 15 based on Android 8.
That was a bit too unstable for me, so I tried reverting back to LOS 14.
I did so using a backup I made to my pc (I did `adb backup` while in TWRP and selected every partition I think). After booting into LOS14, things seemed to crash an awful lot.
At this point I realized wifi wasn't working. It showed a MAC Address of 02:00:00 I think, but no networks were found. I tried restoring my phone using MiFlash normally. I then tried restoring it using Qualcomm's download mode. Older MIUI versions would not boot anymore (although I did manage to boot an old version of TWRP made for the pre-Nougat bootloader). I tried LOS14 again, and attempted using fastboot to erase various partitions (such as the bluetooth and modem partition, and then manually flashed the image again. Still no wifi.
Does anyone know what could have happened? My bootloader is still unlocked, and even downgrading the device to an old version of MIUI using Qualcomm mode did not make it work again? How come LOS15 and MIUI 10 are able to use wifi without problems?
tl;dr WiFi stopped working on any rom other then Lineage OS 15 or MIUI 10.

Help needed. Bootlooped into recovery

Good day,
Help is needed..
I flashed TWRP on the phone since it was not long ago updated to version 10.3 (China).
It flashed well (without errors).
The reboot was successful. No data was lost.
In the morning I decided to check the email, turned on the WIFI, and it went off after 2-3 seconds (everything was OK in the evening, it worked like usually). I thought that restarting the phone would fix the flaw, but alas, I was stuck in BOOTLOOP. Starts with the Mi. LOGO, then goes out, then shows again and goes into Recovery. Recovery runs. All data can be accessed. Restarting is possible only into RECOVERY and FASTBOOT.
What could be the snag here and how to solve it?
P.S. Have tried 'dirty flashing' 10.3 and 10.2 versions from TWRP, changing the kernel (androplus 7-9), reflashing Magisk (recommended by some users on a russian forum), recovering the boot.img (since it it the only recovery I have got).. All that to no avail.
Bootloader was always unlocked since I bought it and rooted. It was MIUI v10.0 then.
MI MIX 3 8/256
Stable 10.3 Chinese ROM with twrp (10.2 before update, with root and twrp)
Had no root but unlocked bootloader

Back up, wipe, flash, restore
Ok. That was the one thing I tried to avoid, since my backup is 27G (nandroid) and internal storage is 133G..
Will try and feedback.
Hi all,
Got it back again, of course with all data and apps gone. I have done nandroid backups (since there is no other way of backing things up from TWRP, except copying everything) from recovery before starting the upper described process. I figure they are of no use to me now or are they?
Please advise
P.S. restoring from nandroids brought me back to square 1..

Something not right with your data so start over
Restarted, redone. Recovered only Data. Looks ok but works a little laggy..
Upd.: needed to set up the screen lock after had done that and a restart, all works like it was, except with a new OS version
Install TWRP from xiaomi.eu, the official one from here seems to be a lot more buggy.

I took it from twrp themselves, not bothering to search any forums. It's not like digging for gold or the like
Upd.:
I read that the official TWRP doesn't support some mounts migrating from EU to global or CN-->EU V Global. It was discovered that it has some bugs with mounting paths. People recommend the LR Team TWRP over the official because of that, besides it has more options under Advanced tab e.g.
Personally I prefer the one that does the job for the moment and is the latest, so it was an easy choice for me ? especially installing a fresh OS update.

I tried the android 10 system image on my moto g7 power. I tried wiping system and installing the system image in twrp.
Phone kept bootlooping. Ended up trying to restore my backup via twrp but data would not restore, and I ended up in a twrp bootloop. Eventually I somehow hardbricked the device. Luckily I was able to find a blankflash to restore the phone to fastboot and I used rsdlite to reflash fw. Maybe I should have wiped everything, not just sytem, but I'm not willing to risk trying again.

Same to me with the difference I wiped all. But I don't pretend to be a guru of the phone's firmwares so it might be I did it wrong.
Maybe it's not a good section for this thread, it's more like Q&A.
It's possible to flash Android 10 GSI, but it wasn't ready for a daily driver.
What was working:
-booting
-screen
-audio
-connecting to 4G network
what wasn't:
-connecting to wifi
-receiving SMS on 4G network
I did not test rest of it.
Just wait a little while longer. The official stock upgrade will be released and Android 10 custom ROMs will be developed.

Here are some notes about Android 10 gsi and Moto G7 power from the main developer. I believe there's a flashable wifi zip PHH made as a fix for the wifi somewhere on this page: https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Moto-G7-Power
Yes, I've seen it.
I don't have telegram account nor do I wish to create any, so WiFi patch is not for me.
Besides, it's only applicable when your WiFi works with static IP but not with dhcp.
Mine wasn't working at all.

Question Bootloop after 12.5.5.0 OTA (with OrangeFox recovery)

Unfortunately, I have a problem. My phone was on the power cord overnight and pulled the latest update (EEA 12.5.5.0 Enhanced). It was then booted into OrangeFox (OrangeFox recovery with OTA support) and waited for my OK. I didn't think anything of it and didn't make a backup either, as I assumed that everything would go smoothly like the last update.
The update then went on, but there was probably an error, because now I have a bootloop (yellow Poco lettering for about 2 seconds). I can't use an old backup because I'm abroad right now and I don't want to lose the apps I've already set up (pandemic, tracking apps, certificates, ...).
Does anyone have a quick trick or the latest full ROM that I can just iron over or any other good quick idea? Change bootloader slot or other options? OrangeRecovery and Fastboot are still accessible. Now I only have ADB/Fastboot on my work laptop, but I still can't list the device with adb devices. I guess I still need to install the Xiaomi driver for it, but that should be the minor issue.
Update: I am currently downloading the different ROM versions (fastboot, recovery and incremental update), just in case they are needed.
OTA for the rom and using ofox? hmm it's not supported unless you will flash stock rom maybe. I don't know much more. Correct me if im wrong.
OTA works very well with orangefox and AICP 16.1...

phone stuck in QUALCOMM CrasahDump Mode

So today has been.......Less than fun. Started off wanting to update my phone so i made a TWRP back up, downloaded the latest Oxygen OS and that's where my problems started. I accidentally flashed the Android 12 build. Immediately lost my data and TWRP recovery so I stupidly tried to flash it like I did before without stopping to think if there may be anything different in how it's done Android 12.....After it said it was successfully flashed I went and restated the phone.... and now It's stuck in crashdump mode or fastboot mode.
I originally I thought I would be fine. I've used the MSM download tool before and there were plenty of guides about this exact problem but for some reason it failed (my only guess is because I used the EU version and my phone was originally a T-mobile version that I converted to the EU version? I said that the Image didn't match so that was my best guess) and now the phone isn't even being recognized in ADB when in fastboot (I checked before I ran MSM) so I can't even try to flash the other one....
If anyone knows of ANYTHING that might work, that would be amazing!
P.s. Trust me, I KNOW this is all on me and I know I should've done more research before going through with it but I figured it would be just like every other dirty flash smh.

You can't use TWRP on OOS 12, though you might be able to install the OOS 12 zip using TWRP if you're on OOS 11.
Check your drivers if you can't connect to the phone in bootloader mode. You might need to simply reinstall it (I've had to do this a number of times).
You might be able to switch active partition it might save you I had something similar happen changing partion helped me get back into adroid

Question Lenovo P11 Tab TB-J606F Wifi issues after GSI

Hi all
I have a bit of a problem after flashing the Google GSI (android 13) on my Lenovo Tab P11. Everything seemed to work well. Rebooted into the OS without any issues, everything seemed to work (Wifi included). I then swapped and deployed LineageOS 20 GSI which again, seemed to go okay but I had a google play protect issue.
During a quick check, I was planning on just rolling back to the Google GSI one, but accidently locked my device with
./fastboot.exe flashing lock
instead of unlock. And, taking no notice of the on screen prompts proceeded to relock the device which effectively bricked it. Nothing would load, not even recovery or fastboot.
A fair while later I managed to get recovery/fastboot working again by redoploying the boot.img, recovery.img and vbmeta.img from the stock ROM. I then discovered my current-slot had changed from b to a, so swapped that back too. This allowed the device to at least go into fastbootd so I ccould reflash it. I put the LineageOS back on, but now Wifi isn't working. Rolled back to Google GSI and the same.
I've tried following guides to re-install stock, but that's failing as well. I have read a couple of posts detailing issues with Wifi on GSI but the fixes didn't do anything or weren't necessarily inline with what I had. I suspect I have missed something I need to push back out to the device, but at this point I'm a bit stuck.
Anyone came across this before, or can point me where I can get some more information on it?
ta
whether some partitions are deleted or corrupted. You have the original backup qcn . try restoring it or trying to fix the partitions
