absurd problem: can't make/receive VOIP calls - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I've just bought a Lenovo Z5: the device works fine except for VOIP calls on WhatsApp, Skype, Viber...
Indeed these apps works perfectly on the chat, but when I try to make a call, it rings uselessly because the recipient doesn't receive the call or sometimes it can't even start the call.
Instead when I RECEIVE a Voip call, I see the notification but If I answer It can't even open the app.
I've already tried to factory reset the system and to update it but nothing has changed.
Standard calls, Microphone, Speaker and internet connection seem ok to me..please help me :crying: :crying: :crying:

[Completed] Bluetooth outbound transfer list view kitkat

Dear friends
My bluetooth outbound transfer list got deleted intentionally.
Just I want to know what all are the file transferred via bluetooth during certain time.
Any other way to do this either via Developer mode or Rooting.
Waiting for your reply
Hi,
I see you've already asked this in your device sections q&a. That's the right place to ask.
Xda Assist is only here to help navigate the site, not support. And you found your way already.
Good luck!

[Completed] How to use your laptop as a phone?

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a software which will allow me to connect any android phone to a Windows laptop or a PC and then use the Windows device as a phone - to make & receive calls and to send/review/reply to messages.
This is already implemented in a lot of vehicles when you pair the phone and then call/answer through the car's UI. I'm looking for the same thing but using a Windows device (laptop, PC - with Bluetooth) like the car in the example.
Can you advise me about such a software?
Thanks!

Why phone calls cannot be recorded to local storage

How come on both Android and IOS platforms there is not an app that can record a phone call to local storage? Is this something that is not allowed by both systems? Thanks

I don't use this type of app but, the following, Android only, threads may be helpful for what you are looking for and don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within one of them.

Regarding the iOS... you won't find anything because the xda-developers doesn't support the iOS device developments.
Good Luck!

Questions about no active profile in Tasker and pesky notifications in Gmail

Hi everyone,
that's it I have received my Note 9, coming from an iPhone X. This is quite a huge change but this phone is great ! I also enjoy the amount of customization that can be done, although this can be a bit overwhelming. I have 2 questions however about things that "bother" me a bit :
1. I discovered the great app xda gestures and it works great. However, I was a bit dissatisfied of the way it works in Messages or anywhere where there is a textbox so I found a tasker profile called "Hide XDA Navigation Gestures NavBar While Typing". I am no Tasker expert but I have read forums so I was able to rename the downloaded file to .prf.xml and then import it as a profile in Tasker. However, in the notification area I keep having the message 'no active tasker profile" whereas I have activated the profile. I have also read that I had to grant Tasker some permissions through ADB, which I did (I think...I did not get any confirmation message). Anything else I might have forgotten ?
2. I have set gmail to only give me notifications for high priority emails; still, I keep getting notifications for emails I receive from forums, even though I have assigned them to a Label and the email skip the inbox. So I don't understand why they keep coming.
thanks for your help !

I don't have this device but, if you've got a Tasker question, your best bet is to post this question within the following Tasker thread for some member guidance.

The following area of the forum is specific to Tasker Tips and Tricks as well.
