[Resolved] Samsung Galaxy S4 can't boot to recovery/TWRP - General Questions and Answers

Boy, egg is on *my* face. It seems I need to release the buttons *before* the screen goes black, which is completely different from my previous phone, which required me to hold these buttons through cycles of showing the screen described in #3 -> screen off, before it would boot the recovery.
On my Samsung Galaxy S4, I can't boot into recovery mode. I don't know what has changed since I could.
1) I turn off the phone.
2) I hold vol_up+menu+power
3) The phone vibrates once and soon shows "Samsung Galaxy S4" in the center of the screen with "RECOVERY BOOTING ...." (blue) and "Set Warrenty Bit: recovery" (yellow) in very small text in the upper left.
4) The screen turns off and nothing more happens until I release the buttons. I haven't tried holding them for over a minute.
5) The phone vibrates once
6a) If I press and hold vol_up+menu+power before the screen turns on, it will repeat from step 3
6b) Otherwise, the phone boots into LineageOS.
I've tried booting into download mode and re-flashing TWRP from twrp(dot)me/jfltexx/ using heimdall from my Linux machine. This seems to succeed, but doesn't fix the issue.
I would also like to be able to boot into TWRP for other reasons, so what do I need to do to fix this?
Samsung Galaxy S4 m919
LineageOS 14.1 microG
TWRP recovery 3.2.3-0

Galaxy G930F Stuck at Samsung Screen

My Galaxy S7 G930F is stuck at the Samsung Screen. I cant turn it off, however if I press the Power Button, click the Home button, and Volume Down, the screen goes black and goes back to the Samsung Screen.
Events Leading up:
I rooted my phone with CF-Auto-Root. It worked flawlessly. I then turned off the OEM Unlocked in developer options (stupid me). After that, I got SuperSu and updated the binary then restarted. FRP stopped me from booting back up. I used Odin download manager and flashed G930FXXU1APB6 (again, even more stupid). I was supposed to flash G930FXXU1BPH6. So, after flashing I get stuck at the Samsung screen. Please help.
Update: I did figure out how to get into Odin Mode by Vol Down, Home, and Power at the same time for 30 seconds. Downloading G930FXXU1BPH6 and will flash it when it's done.

HELP! "Recovery Booting...." not working

Product Name: SM-G930A (Galaxy S7)
Carrier: AT&T
I am unable to get into recovery mode to wipe the cache and do a factory reset.
By pressing the key combination (Home + VolUp + Power), I am able to trigger the message "Recovery Boot....", however right after that instead of going into Recovery Mode it immediately restarts back to the splash screen and loops.
(Buttons do not appear to be stuck)
I can get into download mode. I have tried using Odin to reflash the rom using the rom I used before. However, this doesn't change the experience I described above. I have let the phone die out completely and powered on to the same experience. I am unable to remove the battery on the Galaxy S7. The phone is rooted. I did have on Xprivacy and Xposed. I was also working with SetCPU and other apps to improve the speed the night before. I was under the impression though that I can always wipe the whole thing clean and start again.
Please help me out of this loop.

SGH-i727R Boot Loop Issue & cannot get to Recovery Mode?

Normal boot sequence results in boot loop few seconds after second logo (SAMSUNG) appears, then a brief screen flash (like a thin white horizontal line), then bzzz ... bzzz and so on.
When I try to enter Recovery Mode (hold middle volume & power simultaneously), wait for 2nd logo (SAMSUNG) to appear and release power button, it goes into boot loop before it can reach recovery mode. Specifically, when I release power button, it vibrates again, and goes back to two logo sequence, then a screen flash, the I get the dreaded one second cycle pulse vibrations.
When I try to Boot into Download Mode, the custom OS warning screen appears, I release the power button and within a few seconds it goes into boot loop
I suspect the hardware is fine. Is there any way to revive this by different means?
As background, I had first bootloop issues about a year ago and was able to resolve using the above method. I then upgraded from original ICS to Jelly Bean 4.1.2 which I installed using ODIN. The phone worked fine for like 6 months until this.
If you haven’t guessed, I’m a bit of a newb here.

[RESOLVED] TWRP stuck on Downloading do not turn off target - Reboot does not work

Edit: Resolved
I flashed a nightly release of LineageOS and it's working like before!
Software
TWRP 3.1
LineageOS 14.1
Magisk 18.1
Magisk Manager 7.0
Rooted (unsure)
Background
Google Pay recently declined contactless, so I tried re-enabling it with Magisk and changing device fingerprint, to no avail. I rebooted into recovery to install Magisk Canary, by running the magisk-uninstaller.zip. As soon as I swiped right to run it, it rebooted into the turquoise "Downloading... do not turn off target" screen (with no text in the corner). Every attempt to boot into system yielded this.
Troubleshooting Attempts
Holding volume down + power, reboots to Samsung S7 screen then quickly back to the same "Downloading..." screen
Holding volume down + power, then as soon as screen flashes black quickly holding volume up + power goes into TWRP
Cleared cache in TWRP and tried rebooting, same results
Other Information
I can still enter TWRP and see my files via USB on my computer
Even after phone is powered off and I recharge it, the screen goes back to the turquoise "Downloading..." screen. Powering on is the same..
Questions
Does anyone have suggestions as to what I can try next? Or should I create a backup while I can, then reinstall TWRP or another ROM?
Thanks!

If the rom zip is on your sd card and you can boot into TWRP, you can flash the rom again, do not wipe anything! and all your apps files etc should be still there when the phone reboots. It's the same process as updating lineage over the existing build.

If the word "Samsung" is slowly flashing with LED light then leave it, it will start in around 5 minutes.
If this does not happen then you will need to boot into system recovery and wipe/factory reset, then reboot and wait.
To force reboot to recovery:
1. press and hold ...volume down + home + power until the phone goes off
2. as soon as the screen goes black press and hold volume up + home + power until it reboots to recovery
3. choose wipe/factory reset, then choose reboot and wait.
