These are the steps that I did myself and everything worked
If gcam force closing, install module from magisk camera2api enabler

I only share it to help you
On Pixel Experience (9.0):
1. Wipe everything
2. Install rom and magisk
3. Install module RN5 Camera Patch module v0.92b (Pie 9.0).zip
4. Restart to recovery from magisk
5. Wipe cache/dalvik
6. Restart to system
7. Install gcam
Everything should work on PE 9.0 , I did not have any problems with black photo from front or crash
On Global Stable miui 10
1. Wipe everything
2. Install rom and magisk
3. Reboot to system
4. Make first configuration
5. Reboot to twrp
6. Flash XRN5_Camera_TWRP_10.0.1.0_global in twrp
7. Wipe cache/dalvik
8. Reboot to system
If gcam doesnt work make this steps:
9. In magisk add module RN5 Camera Patch module v0.988a (Miui 10)
10. Reboot to twrp from magisk
11. Wipe cache/dalvik
12. Reboot to system
Now you should have fully working gcam like in android p

I couldn't make it fully work, sometimes it takes black photo from front, sometimes it doesnt take photo, then you must close gcam and reopen
What i have done:

Thanks! The patch fixed the inverted front camera in Mi A2 Camera port. I'm in MSM X Pie, the attached gcam's front camera didn't work, so I installed the BSG 5.2 one and selected device as Pixel XL. Everything works great!

This patch works fine but hasn't 240fps slowmotion.
Latest patch is 0.989a has 240fps but hdr+ in front camera does not work.

Currently I don't use any app which has issues with the aspect ratio. Games(PUBG and Subway surfer) run full screen without issues.
I installed it with pixel experience 9.0. I installed a 0.92 patch front camera portrait not working.

Hi, every time I install the Patch for PE 9.0 my RN5 loses his sounds.. Media,system,ringer...nothing work.

Without root it's not possible cuz oneplus has implemented Camera 2API very badly. And Google camera mod works on camera 2 API. So to change that we need to replace a system library and which is only possible with root.

There will be no touch to focus on this version. Also this doesn't work on all ROMs. On RR I think it doesn't even open.

Working great on LR ... thx man! (Had to flash the portrait fix, without it wount even open)
For some reason the flash is always out of sync on the gcam mods and I get a black picture in the dark. Open Camera for example works alright.
If i flash magisk fix, stock camera dont work, is normal?

I am on 8.0 none beta and so everything seems to be working okay. The apps seems a bit sluggish but it does work fine. I do not have any flash issues as of now.
If you would like to turn off development information text on the camera view screen go to Settings, scroll to the bottom, click developer settings, uncheck camera.af.debug.show
im on oos beta 3 will it break oneplus camera if i flash the zip?

I successfully installed AOSP Oreo 8.1 system image on whyred, thanks to treble. It successfully booted and all the things are working fine till now. Here is the screenshot of the device info:

Steps to do the same:
1)Unlock Bootloader!
2) Flash Miui 9 China 8.1 Fastboot Rom from the link below(instructions available on Miui website):

3) Boot and setup the rom just to make sure.
4) Now, download the AOSP Oreo 8.1 system.img, from the link below. You have 2 options, either download the img with gapps and su included or without them, your choice. I went for option a). (Thanks to @phhusson for the system imgs)
a) system.img for A-only ARM64 devices with GApps and SU:

5) Replace the system.img in the fastboot rom downloaded in step 2 with the system.img downloaded in step 4. Now, flash the rom as you did in step 2.

Bugs:
1) Screen doesn't wake up using power button after devices sleeps.
Solution: Turn off 'Jump to Camera' from gestures settings.
2) Lowest brightness setting is not low enough.
3) No voice in-call

IMO, it is not stable.

No. Actually Whyred is my primary device and I m quite busy at work. It should but IMO though as it is based on phh-treble.
Hi @harshs91, since the Oreo based ROM is available for Indian version as well, do you have any plans of flashing it and then trying GSI image? Maybe that can resolve camera and other related issues?

S actually with the leaked Oreo beta Google camera works without any issues front and back...

Enable AI camera on Redmi Note 5 Pro whyred (MN5PRO) via Magisk module!
REAL enable AI Camera, the only one with working AI scene detection!
I have try more than ten mods for AI camera but i think this is the best (other mods just seeing the AI option but nothing else to knowing if working), from all that I tested
- is the only one that can auto recognize scene (you can see the attached photo, camera shot a plant and AI recognize that),
- works with stock miui camera,
- have the less effect on your ROM
- and you can easy uninstall it via magisk manager.
- also enable 4k video recording, full manual mode, front camera HDR and maybe more.
You must have installed magisk root and then install this module via magisk manager. (but you can also install this module via TWRP (i have try it). ... edit and deleted because of post #4)
Works on every MIUI version, stable or beta!

checked on miui 9.3.28 (android pie) and unfortunately don't work the auto AI scene detection
So this patch not only enable the AI camera option, also enable 4k video recording, front HDR, full manual mode. For manual mode (only for this, not for AI camera option etc) maybe you must have enabled camera2api.
How to enable camera2api?
Root > copy with RootExplorer (or similar app) system/build.prop to other location into internal storage > open it and add string 'persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1' (if not exist), save and copy the build.prop back to system (replace the original) > give it the permissions "rw-r--r--" or 644, reboot. On some cases (custom ROM etc) maybe must do the same work with vendor/build.prop

o, maybe this works for me because i have already magisk root installed, so i am sorry and i will edit the 1st post
It works, but It seems it's not compatible with gcam patches. If I install both modules (AI and gcam patch), the MIUI camera works regularly but AI isn't recognizing any scene
I'm on ArrowOS 9.0 Pie (RN5 Global)
EDIT: it seems that this module already contains the gcam patch! (60 fps video recording, front HDR+ shots and 240 fps Slow Motions work perfectly)

Also enable 4k video recording, full manual mode, front camera HDR and maybe more. Maybe you must have enabled camera2api (i will edit the 1st post)
Working fine with resurrection remix official rom.

As soon as I press the shutter, the camera app crashes, and the photo is not saved. When I turn off AI, this problem doesn't occur. If possible, kindly provide a fix for this bug.

I don't have any other camera module/patch installed. Not even GCAM patch. GCAM works flawlessly on my Indian RN5 Pro without any patch.
Where is you find the patch. who is the author of this patch ?

please read the 1st post, is only for miui
Call recording on Google Phone is only enabled for selective devices in Few Countries and unluckily it wasnt available for POCO F1 but finally after fidelling for so long I was able to enable call recording on my Poco F1 running AEX 11.
Prequisites:
1. Device must be rooted with Magisk
2. Any root browser and the knowledge to use it.
Steps to enable Call Recording:
1. Uninstall all updates to Google Phone from Play Store.
2. Now using the root browser copy dialer_phenotype_flags.xml and replace it inside root/data/data/com.google.android.dialer/shared_prefs and set permission to rw-rw. If the file doesnt exist then simply paste it.
2. Flash the Magisk Module and reboot the device.
3. Now go to playstore & update the dialer.
4. Clear data of Dialer, force-close it & open it. Now you should be able to see call recording option in Dialer settings.
5. To disable the annoying call recording message flash this Addon.zip. P.s. I didnt made this zip, got in telegram channel Elonsmod so thanks to @elon_cyborg.
Note: It might not work for you or break safetynet, I'm not responsible for it.

Tested with redmi note 7 - EvolutionX
For me the call is recorded just fine and there is no system error during call. But when I play the recording there is no sound in it. I am on pixel experience plus android 10. Any help would be appreciated.
Call recording works for me in my OnePlus 7Pro, just Addon.zip can't be flashed in magisk, shows that isn't a magisk module and I have no TWRP, I'll try tonight.
I just skipped step 4 to avoid flags.xml file to being deleted
It made my phone bootloop, I had to uninstall it using MM in twrp to get it back working

It works perfectly fine on my Redmi K20 Pro with ArrowOS. Thank you for the mod.
Only one nitpicking issue i would say is while phone restarts popup camera also opens by default. It automatically closes when phone is unlocked as well. I thought it was because i enabled face unlock. Removed face unlock and tried still its opening popup camera which was not there earlier. Apart from this small issue it works perfectly for me now.
Not working on s7 edge pixel experience plus. I tried 2 times but it didn't work, anyone know another method? :/

Did you try extracting default Xiaomi dialer app from stock Indonesia MIUI ROM? That one has native call recording option as well. Good luck!

I managed to install Pixel 5 GSI Android 12 Beta 5 on my J9110. All features work for my daily use, except:
- No camera app installed.
- No any Gcam mod works except the one for Xperia 1/5.
- Video recorded with NO sound.
- NFC not working.

How did you do that
Just discovered some bugs:
- There would be a high pitched voice when you on a call using VoIP app like Facebook Messenger.
- Cannot hear the sound when live view a camera via Mi Home app.
- Some Videos are not playing on Facebook.
If you still want to flash it. Please follow:
- Unlock bootloader.
- Download Pixel system image here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ni...el5a-AB-12-20210910-nippongsi.img.gz/download
- Follow these instructions (Method 3) to flash a GSI: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-android-12/amp/#method3 but at the step #10, do not flash the *system.img*, flash the Pixel system image instead.
Reboot and enjoy.

I can't believe that I actually flash it.
The problems you found have existed.
I searched XDA but didn't find the way,
now I have changed back to PE+.

you can try Dot OS GSI, it works almost flawlessly to me.

now u can install pixel experience 12 , in GSI rom.. just flash in fastboot mode and easy way
everythings works camera, audio, signal, microphone, bluetooth audio, NFC..

select lastest release now Pixel Experience 12.0 v400.d
and click Assets: select PixelExperience_arm64-ab-vndklite-12.0-20211217-UNOFFICIAL.img.xz for full gapps
flash instruction :

enter your devices to fastboot mode

Clean.
There needs to be done fastboot -w command which wipes userdata.
If you are already on custom Rom you may try it but keep backup before proceeding.

Which GSI ROM were you in ? Does the problem persist with BT audio too ?
Because if you're on A12 PE based on phh's treble rom, BT audio need some tweak post install to make it work. Not sure if wired audio can use the fix too since I don't have the wired audio dongle. It's worth a try though.
