I know you could when mm 6.01 came out, but has it been recently blocked with newer versions of mm?
I currently am running G920IDVU3EPD3 which is 6.01. At this stage I beleive I can go back to 5.11 G920IDVU3DOJ6? But what about with latest G920IDVU3EPGG? This is all XSA
Secondly, if I have reactivation lock enabled, can I still upgrade and downgrade without issue as long as its all stock?
I am unable to to to boot into the phone to disable it, I dont want to do a factory reset, so I want to try downgrade to 5.11 and the BACK to the latest version to see if it will somehow kickstart the phone back into booting. I know 5.11 will probably NOT boot without a factory reset, but the attempt to boot and then back to 6.01 may kickstart something.
Flashing 6.01 again does nothing to fix boot problem
You can flash whatever stock you want via Odin as long as the stock is for your region and model.
i know this will happen...so i flashed nougat s6 then i have some problems
1-root ...majisk root dont get detected by system apps like system app remover lucky patchier and the good apps
2-knox...i dont have knox i dont want it its sucks i cant get ride of it without uninstalling debloat scripts for 6.0.1 and still cant get it removed completely
3-WIFI ...wifi is very bad some times dont even want to connect when its said connected sometimes dont want to connect like if i have password wrong... and signale is very poor
4- no xposed yet
5-the look of nougat i hate it
so i want back to 6.0.1 until mybe end of 2017 or 2018 (if i didnt sell it to go with google next smartphone) when we have nice clean custom rom with nice kernel with legendary original supersu root wanam
but nougat have nice battery ....thats 1 thing and only thing i noticed only good battery...i dont know about you but i can only say there is nothing to see on nougat just stay with 6.0.1
Hi
I just give you a tip, if you want to go back on Marshmallow one day, do not flash firmwares with this model : G920Fxxx6xxxx ! Because currently latest MM and N bootloaders are v5, so you can downgrade but when it will be updated to 6 you won't be able to go back on MM or older N firmwares
Plan to pick up a shield tablet and I'd like to run PS4 remote play on it. So far as I understand now (with the latest PS4 firmware and app), this is only possible with a rooted android running xposed and a Sony framework.
Does anyone know if this is possible on the Shield running Nougat? Can xposed be flashed on Nougat?
I've searched and most of the threads I find are long before the nougat update.
xposed doesnt work on nougat yet mte there working on it but its alot more complicated than other firmwares
OkThanks. I was worried that was the case. Edit: just realized this is true for more than shield, xposed is still in progress for all of nougat. Could be a while.
So when the tablet arrives I assume it will be on MM. Perhaps I can prevent the update to N and root it out of the box. Now I'll have to read on preventing the update I guess.
If you root MM, is there an update path to stock nougat later?

If you root MM, is there an update path to nougat? Only a custom rom?

once you root you will have a unlocked bootloader and twrp installed so you can go for a custom rom or stay stock, but you can block updates in developer menu or just simply ignore them. your tablet might come with LP installed aswell mate
Hey everyone.
I've stayed on Marshmallow since I got this phone, but now that Oreo has started rolling out on various devices, and Xposed is available for Nougat (I can't live without MinMinGuard anymore), I figured it's time for an upgrade to (stock) Nougat. I'm currently on EMUI 4.1, Android 6.0, version FRD-L09C432B131. Can I update to B403 without losing my data and access to root and Xposed? B403 is the highest version approved for installation for my device that I found through the Firmware Finder for Huawei app.
Googling on this issue hasn't left me much wiser; Can I just flash my stock recovery and boot partitions to enable the upgrade process, download and update through the firmware finder app, reflash newest twrp and then reflash supersu and xposed from twrp once on 7.0, all without losing my apps and data? I've used this phone as my daily driver for nearly two years, and I would like to avoid having to set it up from scratch as much as possible, as that's a pain-in-the-ass process that'll take me ages.
Anyone have any experience doing this? Any input is appreciated!

You have root you will loose that , you need to flash it stock b131 as you have and go to hisuit i download the next version , after once updated go firmware finder and update new one update like c432b380 and next update is 382 you download it with FF and update and second is 391 you download id with FF and keep doing that until you reach the b403 i did that on my c432.
