If you have unlocked bootloader then you can modify build.prop file and input "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1" in the build.prop file and you can get Google camera working.

There have been a lot of posts in the forum about new camera apps for Redmi Note 4, but unfortunately:crying: all of them need oreo or root or camera2api. Is there any good camera app with portrait mode that can be installed normally on MIUI 9. Help!

Procedure :
1. Magisk is required.
2. Install any Mi A2 camera port. If the ROM packs with the mi A2 camera, then just flash that provided zip in magisk.
3. After this reboot the system once. Then load the provided module in the Magisk and then restart again that's it.
Working on ASOP and MIUI.

Can you tell exactly which MiA2 port did u installed? Bcoz when I install the latest MiA2 port from that thread, I get camera app as Camcorder. Are you sure it is working on Miui?
If you r in masik or revolution OS. just flash that zip in magisk manager. Because, it's already have the mi A2 camera
In video he said that camera module. But, I tried with the mi A2 camera which comes with the ROM.
So, u can try in this way. Sorry I have deleted that recommend url from the post.

Please turn off the AI mode in the front camera, while taking the portrait. It will work
Right now, AI scenes are detecting only for rear camera.
Are you able to see the difference in rear camera samples ?.

Which is the most stable and perfectly working port of GCam for Realme 5 Pro? I tried BSG's v6.1, but it's not so stable (crashes on Slo-mo, Blur, and maybe more). Can someone post the link to the best port?

3) Custom ROM that has better Gcam support for Color OS is mediocre trash
4) Try your chances with 6.1+ Gcam versions

I have Redmi 6 pro device. And i flashed pixel experience Android 10 Beta version rom on my phone.
Pixel experience don't have proper Gcam , so I removed it and installed Gcam version 6 . Everything works fine except Front portrait and slo-mo video recording ...
(Camera 2 api is enabled..)
( Also my device have same specs as Mi A2 lite)
Can anyone help me please ....

Oneplus camera app has only the basic features and nothing more. Also I'm not a big fan of how the portrait mode (Bokeh) OnePlus does. And biggest of em all....The excessive shutter lag. MIUI camera ( GCam too ) have a more responsive shutter.
