LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Will be fixed in upcoming build

The Updater app pointed me to the upgrade instruction on the wiki, which basically guides through a dirty flash. Will that work 14.1 (official) → 15.1 (official)? I thought that was impossible because of the nature of 15.1.

Just gonna drop in saying that sometimes the prompt for SIM PIN does not show up on boot and you have to reboot and pray that it will work this time.
Someone also mentioned in 14.1 thread that SIM does not active on boot for him, might be same issue.

Video call from Dialer doesn't work, 4G network fluctuate which was case w/ other roms too but a pre build rom patch fixed the issue for most of them. Other than that few minor yet important thing like Volte icon on status bar will be helpful so we can know when we don't have Volte and a QS for silent, ring and vibration only.

Thanks Dev for the official LOS.
Not able to get gcam working. (Enabled camera2api)
Will be helpful if someone can suggest a working version.

Bug with dark video recording still present.
Can you include this commit to fix it?
https://github.com/TeamReloaded/and...mmit/97c750c6b6eaee7b1950b8f061d33db877ed1d7d

As per my use of first official build of Los15.1 here are my observations in form of pros and cons.
1. No volte icon on status bar which is common in almost all other Oreo ROM.
2. No Vilte call through dialer.
3. Playstore uncertified.
4. Dark camcorder in low light
5. Few minor glitches.
Pros:
1. First official Oreo Los 15.1 build for 2 yr old device even Redmi note 3 doesn't have.
2. Call recording available through stock dialer.
3. UI is fluid ,smooth and fast.
4. Fast charging through stock charger.
5. Loud and clear sound output.
Thanks to developer for their hard work and support.:silly:

Аfter dirty flash, twrp 3.2.3-1 can't decrypt /data (decrypt took too long), so i did a clean install with /data format but latest aroma opengapps (arm64, aroma) cause logo stuck.

Hey,
got some issues with CM 14.. in this alpha build system sounds (notification - calls, sms, etc) isnt working for me, only sound via 3rp party app, like JetAudio works. In Bauuuuu's latest build, from 16.10.2016, sounds works, but rom didnt detect any of my simcards, so I cant use any of CM 14 roms on my phone... hope there will be some build in the future (maybe CM 14.1? which will work correctly for me.

Everything seem to work well except that I have an issue about the headphone slot.
All media audio works perfectly through phone speaker but when a headphone was attached, youtube stopped, music stopped.
I used a runtastic heart rate monitoring gadget which attaching through the headphone slot too and it's been unable to function at all.
Any suggestion?
I flashed back to the official rom version 9.20 and headphone slot has been back to normal.
Updated to cm14.1. Head to the first post
No SIMs again
Thanks m8 for the new build! Sadly, for me its the same story like with your last CM14 build. The system cant detect my simcards, so I cant get past the initial setup..

Encryption? Can someone SS here?
FAQ:
* Bootloop?
> Nope. If you aren't encrypted it'll take some time to encrypt depending on data size on your internal storage.
* Needs internal storage wiped?
> No need to wipe internal storage & no data is lost while encrypting.
Use TWRP linked in First Post to avoid issues.
Also even if you are using any other recoveries.. the ROM will do its work & encrypt your data, problem will be faced while you go back in recovery.
Fingerprint works, Bluetooth with WiFi works and camera too.
So far so good.
Sir please add Google pixel pie dialer, and Google pixel pie launcher...
Booted successfully no bugs so far..
But sadly lost internal coz of encryption
Encryption is always nightmare for me
so far, so good, almost no bugs, good for daily driver, i got around 7h sot with no problems gaming and videos...

I know you are excited, but just tone it down a bit. Let the dev do his work at his own pace. As it is, he is handling too many ROMs, along with working on the device side.
The fruit of patience is always the sweetest.

very very nice, fluid rom. with good battery backup .
battery percentage won't show on status bar.
linage 17.1 is currently work in progress so other feature added later or fixed
audio from 3.5 jack not working.
It's nice to see you continue LOS 17 for our device after our LOS 16 being official
Using this rom since it's released. Having smooth performance as always LOS do.
I'm having two issues so far:
1. Battery percentage won't displayed even though I set to enable it.
2. Audio jack is not working.
I hope you will look into it.
(OpenGApps beta pico, fw 72)
Thanks a lot! :fingers-crossed:
Thanks for supporting LOS17. Can't wait to try the stable version

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Nope.
NFC is working?
Please take note that ALL ROMs compiled for this device, Redmi 9C (angelica)/(garden) are having issues in calls. Low volume on calls (you can barely hear nor say anything)
Hi. Could you confirm how looks selinux status, offline charing and teathering?
Have you tried solve problem with issues related to calls? Is it related to some configuration ?

Hello friend, Well, VoLTE I found me perfect.. . Better than MIUI I am in a place with little signal and I notice better functionality. I have tested a little but not completely, I notice a lot of lag in some applications for example when scrolling and the fingerprint problem
