I have win 10 in test mode.
Device manager shows a windows driver.
It won't let me run the qualcom driver.
"Windows has determined that the best driver is installed"
Any way around this?
Any way around this, if i brick my phone i won't be able to use the awesome megabrick tool. [email protected]#$ microsoft.
In devices and printers it show as windows phone, in device manager under portable devices it shows as oneplus 6003 very strange. Either way same message.
Think you need to slow down a bit, start again....none of this made any sense!
I think he is trying to instal the ADB driver in Windows?
Just put the phone in Qualcomm download mode like you would to use the unbrick tool and see what happens in the device manager. Look for "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" device. If it shows up then the unbrick tool will work if not install the drivers
I got the same message. The msmtool worked nevertheless.
for the msmtool you're shutting down your phone and connecting it with vol down(?) held down, see what device it'll show up as at this point. i've got adb, fastboot, qualcom and op6 drivers all working as they should atm, what device shows up depends on the current state of the device

Dear Sir (& whomever else can help),
I flashed the newest Oxygen rom update for my oneplus 6 and rebooted from the TWRP. It however appears that the flashing i did didn't really work and there was really no rom installed because i had earlier formatted system, dalvik and data with the intention of starting anew with the new rom. Therefore, the phone could only boot into fastboot. The device is not detectable via windows adb but by fastboot command line (adb, fastboot and oneplus 6 drivers had long been on my pc). However, attempts to use TWRP img to reboot the phone into TWRP throws up these:
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.630s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: Failed to load/authenticate boot image: Load Error)
finished. total time: 0.661s
I download enchilada_22_O.27_181025.zip which contains MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe and MsmDownloadTool V4.0_factory.exe, alongside enchilada_22_O.27_181025.ops. Running the non-factory msm.exe, it does not seem to be doing anything nor detecting the phone.
On downloading the said Qualcomm drivers for the PC, there is a problem with installing it. There is no .exe or any other executable file. Moreover, since my phone has long had the necessary drivers, adb and fastboot installed and was easily detectable even in fastboot, the Device Manager of Windows does not see it as a device in need of (new) drivers and ignores my efforts to get it to "update" the existing driver for the "Kedacom" device (this is the way it sees it when in fastboot).
Also, no amount of power and/or volume button pressing (singly or in combination) alters the boot pattern into fastboot or the status quo. I don't know how to get the msm tool to work. Please help me.
Thank you.

Dear Sir,
Please how do you use the msm tool? I ran it but it only showed blank cells in its table. Pressing "Start" (while in its self-selected "upgrade" mode) only showed Running:upgrade in its status. Nothing really seemed to be happening.
Please how am i supposed to use it, eg confirm communication with device, etc.
Thank you.
It has only just occurred to me that the msm tool version i used may not be exactly that of the one that worked for you. Could you upload your version without the rom, and give me its link? I already have a rom (.ops type) from the one i already have and don't have sufficient internet data for another such large download.
Thanks again.

I finally found out why i could not get the PC device settings to see my oneplus 6 as Qualcomm device. I held the up vol. button for only 5 secs (as directed). In one of my retries, I was distracted in answering someone, thus holding for at least 15 secs before plugging it to the PC. The msm tool now detects it and connects: one cell in its table shows COM Connected.
However, on pressing start, it gets stuck on "param processing" (after some firehose commands) at around 5 - 7 secs. Need help please.

So I have a LG p506 and I recently installed cyanogen-mod 10.1 on it. I had to use the November release as the newest one wouldn't load past the cyanogen logo(i let it run for a couple hours). Everything seemed to work great after that. So I put the phone in my backpack for a later date.
When i finally pull it back out the battery was completely dead, and plugging the phone into usb would not charge it. I used an external device to charge it.
Basically the only thing the phone can do now is load the lg logo, go into emergency mode, and fastboot. I can erase and flash images, I have tried system boot and recovery multiple times with different files.
However I get the same two things every time i try something:
1. when I plug the phone into usb, the phone will do its thing then give a STALL GET_DESCRIPTOR error
2. fastboot devices shows something but I get a "?" where the serial number should be.
I am not proficient enough with fastboot to try other commands. Any one have some advice?
Also, I've tried every usb port I have, theres only one that works with the phone. One of the usb ports shows up normally on the phone but fastboot won't show any devices. I am running windows 7 ultimate x64.
The one thing i haven't tried is reinstalling windows 8 on one of my hdd's and seeing if it isn't a win7 issue. Ive used it with win 8 before and it didn't give the error message.

fastboot doesn't show a serial number for that device. At least never has for me. If 'fastboot devices' lists something like
Code:
List of devices attached
???????? fastboot
then you're good to go.
damn that was my only thing to go on lol. nothing will get this phone to boot into recovery. im about to get a sd card reader for my pc to test and see if its bad.

You can use fastboot to flash another recovery. Rashed should have a link in the OP for the 4.1.2 ROM you said you were using. You can continue to use the command-line if you like, but I did write a Windows app for flashing recoveries. Links in my signature.

ill give it a try, but i have tried just about every recovery file i can get my hands on and no luck, also looks like winds 8 doesn't want to acknowledge my phones existence. I downloaded and installed the driver from LG but still no luck, windows 8 is giving me a failed descriptor error as well.
ok so i have been stumbling around for a bit and noticed something possible wrong.
Windows 7 device manager shows my device, installed correctly, but listed as USB Modem Phone ADB Port.
Shouldn't this be a fastboot port? Since ADB is only available via the android operating system, and i can't get into my operating system, all i have is fastboot.
I have ran thru quite a few fast boot recovery pages, and I don't know what im missing here.

I'd say that was/is the correct port name. I don't have that device anymore so I cannot say for sure.

ok, so this is a follow up on some things i have tried recently.
Since my last post i have:
1. put the sdcard into my tablet, and formatted it/ ran an error scan on it via windows.
2. i then flashed a recovery file via my phones fastboot, i pulled that card put it back in tablet to see what files it installed.
3. according to windows, flash recovery installed a .LOST folder with nothing in it, which is the same thing my tablet has on its internal memory, so i don't think there's anything wrong there.
4. phone still cant boot past LG logo(or recovery), or charge the battery when plugged in.
5. I still get a stall get_descriptor error when connected via usb, and commands such as fastboot reboot don't work, tho the phone will say its rebooting (it says its rebooting then just sits there and does nothing, command prompt will say action completed).
6. one thing i have tried as well, is telling windows not to automatically install drivers, then uninstalling my phone from device manager.
Whats interesting about this was that windows was installing its own ADB modem driver from it's own library every time i plugged in the phone. After disabling auto drivers, and reinstalling my LG drivers, the phone simply remains an unknown device.
Some things I have tried include pointing windows to the driver folder, both the downloaded folder and the folder windows installed it to. Neither worked.
The next thing I tried is the have disc option on both. Although there are setup information files in the install folder (about 50 of em), pointing the phone to each file one at a time did not work.
What did work, interesting enough was pointing the phone to a set of Naked Drivers I downloaded, although none of those drivers are specifically for my phone, and they only gave me the same problem I had when i had windows auto installing its own driver.
LG L5 612 - fastboot issue
Hi,
I have an LG L5 612.
I'm trying to perform below actions, but always get "waiting for device" ... and nothing happens.
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
"adb devices" lists my device correctly, while "fastboot devices" output nothing.
C:\ADB>adb devices
List of devices attached

C:\ADB>fastboot devices
C:\ADB>
C:\ADB>fastboot reboot-bootloader

Hi everyone,
I have received my new Idol 3 4.7 (6039Y, european version) yesterday. I was stupid enough to apply all proposed updates before reading the forums thoroughly, so I got stuck with a 01005 build, with fastboot disabled.
I followed petrov.0’s guide to restore fastboot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/development/6039-guide-how-to-return-fastboot-t3201077 or at least I tried.
I chose the files for "6039Y (repartitioned by following the repartitioning guide)" in the hope that it would save me some further work. QFIL seemed happy, but on restart, there was a message complaining about something like "unencryption failed", then saying that it was necessary to wipe the memory and perform factory reset. Then the phone spent some time wiping the data, and reboot took me to the stock recovery with a big nasty red error message.
So I used Alcatel Mobile Upgrade to restore the stock system, which went fine, but I was still stuck with a 01005 build. Then I tried again to follow petrov.0’s instructions, now using the files for "6039Y (8GB stock partition sizes)". According to QFIL's log, all went fine (except it waited forever in the final step, after the phone rebooted).
Once rebooted, the phone works ok, "adb devices" lists the phone, but "fastboot devices" still doesn’t.
Does anyone have the same problem? Any idea on how to solve it?
P.S.: this is my first post so I can't reply to petrov.0’s thread, and I couldn't find a Q&A thread on this subject, so here it is.
Fastboot -i 0x1bbb devices should be the right syntax. You have to directly adresy the devices by add “-i 0x1bbb“. Next zimě try to use search and read a little before posting stupid questions.

No need to be rude : of course, I also tested the "fastboot -i 0x1bbb devices" with no more success.
(AFAIK, the -i option is just a filter: am I wrong?)
Turns out I was even more stupid than DallasCZ thought: my problem was that I used the fastboot commands in recovery mode rather than fastboot mode!
In case anyone as dumb as I passes by: use "adb reboot-bootloader" before trying any fastboot command.
And I confirm that the phone is NOT listed if I omit the -i option. The man page is really not clear about that: maybe the XDA-University guide about fastboot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277112 could mention this kind of quirk?
Sorry for the noise.
I really have failed to restore fastboot commands using @petrov.0 's guide.
The problem I had having failed at flashing a modified OTA update file...well to cut a long story short I resorted to using Alcatels Mobile Upgrade Q 4.9.2 to fix my phone. I have no windows so was running the program on Linux host using VirtualBox. After loads of trouble with the drivers with 64 bit windows XP finally got everything to work using Windows 7.
I thought it would now be simple to restore fastboot commands using QFIL and to get my awesome 16GB internal memory back but despite phone definitely being in download mode and the phone showing up as Android HS-USB QDLoader 9008 on COM6 and QFIL automatically choosing COM6 etc and following everything in the guide as it should be I got an error when I hit the download button. Something about the phone not being in Firehose mode. I tried again and this time the error was about Sahara.
Anyone have any ideas?! Is it perhaps just not possible through Virtualbox?
Please help me! I want my 16GB internal memory back!
(phone is 6039Y-2AALWE7 and Upgrade Q updated it from 1AB2AZ22 to 1AJEAZE0)
fastboot - no permisions
deleted - found a simple solution.... for fastboot command in linux you need "sudo"!

Any progress with this ?!? I'm a Linux user too, but I must admit that for this process I had to start my dusty Windows installation. As for the second attempt ... if the first one fails you must restart the phone in download mode again.

Sadly no. I don't understand why Upgrade Q would work in Virtualbox but QFIL doesn't. Still get the firehose error:
NOP: Fail Code: 10
Unable to send FireHose NOP, Device is not in Firehose mode!
Download Fail: System.Exception: Failed to send Firehose NOP to the phone
As I said before the phone is definitely in download mode and shows up in device manager correctly. I tried altering the USB filter in Virtualbox to be less device specific and a few other things, plugging unplugging, different usb cable, different usb port on laptop etc but no luck.
I might try a different Windows version but I think I'll probably resort to using a friends computer at some point.
Don't want to dual-boot windows as my laptop HDD is toooooooooo full and it would involve altering a few of my partitions etc.
Hi Guys,
Im new to the forums so i hope this is the right place for this post
I have a hardbricked oneplus one 64GB.
I have read and followed mutiple guides here and on youtube on how ot unbrick it.
But in every guide i followed mine "failed" at the same step.
When i start the "oneplus one recovery tool" or Msm8974DownloadTool this happens; (cant seem to use a link so ill try to explain it).
It starts with one green bar, when that is finished it stops an i hear the disconnected device sound.
I am currently on Win 10 but i also tried it on WinXP since mutiple posts suggested hat it would work better, but that also didnt help.
I also tried diffrent drivers (oneplus driver from the color zip), google multi driver, qualcomm driver etc.
Hope someone can help

According to the privious owner the flashing of a custom rom or recovery went wrong and it ended up in it's current state.
The recovery tools i tried are;
- Oneplus one recovery tool by; Zyxxeil
- Oneplus one toolkit 1.5 by Manudroid19

Use the one with cm11s by Zyxxeil.Use Xp and use Qualcomm drivers,as this tool doesn't use fast boot/adb drivers and instead uses USB debugging port.
It need a few tries before device getting detected.
Make sure the device is getting recognized as "Qhs_bulk" or "Qualcomm diagnostics 9006" or some thing like that then install drivers manually. Also try different ports and refresh the toolkit. Open the toolkit with administrator rights.
Hope this helps

I'm on windows xp now.
Made a clean install to be sure.
Phone is connected as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
The Zyxxeil tool recognizes it as a com port.
When i press start, it starts flashing 8974_msimage.mbn
When it finishes it just does the same. It looks like it's stuck on a loop at flashing 8974_msimage.mbn
I would post some pictures but i can't since im a new user

Flashing 8974_msimage.mbn nin a loop.... you're not the only one with this problem. I couldn't find a solution to this problem so far. Have tried fresh installs of Windows XP and Windows 7 and drivers installed in Test Mode without success. Please report back once you could figure out what's wrong.

Got it,it's because of a bad download or corrupt zip perhaps.Redownload the toolkit and also try with Color Os toolkit too.
If your device is recognized then there's no way you can't bring it back to life.

Although it is correct that you must run it as admin, this isn't the issue at all. There are phones that appear to be broken beyond the point where you can fix it with software.

I may have found a solution/work-around to the problem described (in case anyone's still trying to unbrick a OPO after all this time). I must warn, however, that I really have no idea what I'm doing as I'm new to all of this, and have blundered through with no real understanding of what's going on, so pay heed at your own risk. It uses Qualcomm's QFIL program and Zyxxeil's OPO unbricking tool. I want give detail in describing the steps involved, so this will be fairly long.
***background***
My 64GB OPO has for the past couple of months almost always failed to get past the first 6-7 seconds of booting, and powered off before reaching the Cyanogen animation. It did the same when booting into fastboot and recovery, and at some point it stopped being able to access recovery at all. Very rarely it would boot, but pressing the power button while it was on would cause it to crash a few seconds later. I discovered that it would consistently boot properly if volume up were tapped while holding down the power button before it vibrates and the OnePlus logo appears, but this fix simply stopped working recently, and so it became impossible to turn the OPO on. Before giving up on it, I decided it would be worth trying the hard unbricking tool based on the ColorOS installer by Zyxxeil. However, I had the problem where the tool continually repeats the step of flashing 8974_msimage.mbn without progressing any further, to which nobody ever seemed to find a solution. I may have found a way to get around the problem, however.
Even though the procedure seems to have worked, the phone still shuts down after a few seconds as it did before (so I suspect my device has a hardware problem, possibly with the power button, and there's nothing that can be done for it). This means that I can't confirm that the fix actually works, but only that it appears to have worked. What it did was:
1) unbricked the phone - it probably wasn't even bricked before, but it definitely was after the installer hung on 8974_msimage.mbn ; it wouldn't respond to the power button at all afterwards. Applying the workaround allowed it to show signs of life again.
2) installed the COS11 fastboot. I'm not sure and can't tell whether the rest of the OS is there or intact, but the fastboot logo has changed from the newer small one to the bigger one from older versions.
***the problem***
The standard method for dealing with a hard-bricked OPO is to use the ColorOS tool as described in the "[GUIDE] [UNBRICK] Unbrick Oneplus One" thread and then flash Cyanogen, or to use Zyxxeil's tool which goes straight there. A common issue in both is that after pressing start, the tools repeat the step of flashing 8974_msimage.mbn , seemingly disconnecting the phone each time, and never progressing beyond that. This happened to me as well. This will happen if the tool is not run as an administrator, but for some people the same problem is seen even if it's run as an administrator. To the best of my knowledge, nobody has posted a solution to this problem, but some have suggested using alternative methods such as using QFIL (which I have gotten to work) or MiFlash.
***potential solution***
From what I understand, QFIL does the same thing as the unbricking tool, only not automatically. I directed it to use the files provided by Zyxxeil's tool, and it was then able to do something that unbricked the device as described above. This is what I did: (all on Windows 10, *not* using the original cable)
Required files:
1) Obtain the Qualcomm QDLoader driver. I used the the Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 2.1.0.5 x64 driver from Zyxxeil's tool's thread (page 5, #48).
2) Download Zyxxeil's tool. I used the 64GB version. Extract DRIVER.iso and run setup.exe as described. I'm not sure whether this actually did anything and presume manually installing the driver in 1) overrides this, but I'm including this for completeness.
3) Download QFIL version 1.0.0.2 . I originally used 2.0.0.5 , but this did not work (it produced the error "unable to read packet header. only read 0 bytes", to which the recommended solution was to use an older version). This can be run from the extracted folder. Open it once, and then close it again - it seems not to behave properly the first time it is run.
Preparation:
4) Create a new folder, for instance on the desktop, and give it a short name. Copy and paste (or just move) the contents of the "OnePlusRestoreTool" folder from Zyxxeil's tool into here. This step is because QFIL supposedly doesn't like long folder names or locations (I'm not sure whether this is true or not but there's no harm in making sure).
5) Install the QDloader driver: (the PC may need to be disconnected from the internet for this stage, I think Windows may try to automatically download and install incorrect drivers)
>Open device manager, then plug the OPO into the computer. It should come up after a few seconds under "Ports (COM & LPT)" as something like QHSUSB_BULK or Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. Mine originally showed up as "Quectel QDLoader 9008". If it comes up as a malfunctioned device ("Unknown USB Device") under "Universal Serial Bus controllers", try holding the power button on the OPO down for a few seconds, or holding it down for a few seconds at the same time as volume up. If it's still not recognised, try rebooting the PC and repeating this step.
>Right click on the device as it appears in device manager, select "Uninstall device", tick the box saying "Delete the driver software for this device", and click on "Uninstall".
>The OPO will disappear from device manager. Unplug and then replug it into the PC, and after a few seconds it should be recognised again, perhaps as "Unknown USB Device" again, requiring the same procedure as above. It should now show up as QHSUSB_BULK under "Ports (COM & LPT)"
>Right click on the device and select "Update driver", then "Browse my computer for driver software". Paste in the file path for the folder containing the driver as downloaded above, which will be called "20561190_ed08f7139a2028da454a6668162f44ac311facc0" if using the driver specified above. Ensure "Include subfolders" is ticked, and click on Next. This should install the driver, and because it's signed, it shouldn't present problems often encountered in this stage. Your device should now be called "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008", with (COM#) after it.
Fix:
6) Restart the PC, leaving the phone plugged in. Open device manager again. At this point, if it is detected as a malfunctioned "Unknown USB Device", do not try to remedy it as described above - leave it as it is. This is exactly what happened in my case.
7) Run QFIL.exe as an administrator. I don't know whether this is actually necessary to run as an administrator, but seeing as problems arise in the normal methods from not doing so, it seems sensible. If the device is listed as "Unknown USB Device", then QFIL should say "No Port Available".
8) In QFIL, click on "Browse" in the "select programmer" section. Navigate to the folder where the contents of Zyxxeil's tool were copied/moved to, and open "prog_emmc_firehose_8979.mbn". Lower down, click on "Load XML", which should give you three files to choose from. As I couldn't fully boot my OPO afterwards I don't know which one is most appropriate, but I have tried the procedure with each and it worked for all of them. Perhaps start with rawprogram_unsparse.xml and if that doesn't work try the other two. Click Open, then select patch0.xml , then click Open again.
9) Paying attention to the QFIL window, hold down power+volume up until the text changes from "No Port Available" to "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM#). Incidentally, this will also cause the device to change from "Unrecognised USB Device" to "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM#)" in device manager. I believe that this step starts "Qualcomm's debugging mode" as explained in Zyxxeil's thread, and this is necessary for the process to work.
10) Click on "Download" (below "Load XML"). QFIL should do its thing, and if nothing has gone wrong the phone might be unbricked at the end of the process. Disconnect from the PC and see if it works.
In my experience, where this step did not work it gave one of two errors:
"unable to read packet header. only read 0 bytes" - this happens on the newer version of QFIL, which is why I used the older one.
"unable to download flash programmer using sahara protocol" - this was the troublesome one. I believe it means that the phone is not in Qualcomm's debugging mode. This would probably be the case if, for whatever reason, the PC recognised the phone immediately as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008, and so it wasn't necessary to hold power+volume up for the PC to recognise it properly. In my case the program ran properly the first time but was interrupted because I hadn't transferred all of the right files to the target folder. After I had done this and tried again, it gave this error. I fixed this by holding down power+volume up, while the device was recognised, until the PC made a sound indicating something had been plugged in. The next attempt to download was successful.
If the procedure doesn't work properly, it might also be worth using one of the other two XML files mentioned in step 9.

Anyway, after hours of searching and trial and error, this unbricked the phone, with it becoming responsive once more to button presses, despite still having the original problem of powering down during boot. It seems to have the CM11 fastboot as expected, and I was able to have my PC recognise it in the short time it stays on using fastboot devices. Other than that, I'm afraid I don't know how successful this was, or how successful it would be for other people. I hope this is useful nonetheless!
hi follow this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unbrick-oneplus-one-t3013732
After trying to restore stock OOS and rebooting fastboot my phone is now stuck in Qualcomm Crashdump mode. I have MSMDownloadTool installed but it won't open, it just opens a windows saying "Program has been started" after executing it.
I also can't reboot to the bootloader, the phone just turns on or off.
What to do?
From my rather long post in https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...your-device-to-oxygenos.4180837/post-86563159 :
"connect the phone to the PC whilst it's still in CrashDump mode and then press Pwr + Vol Up until the phone buzzes and then hold Vol Up + Vol Dn and MSM will then connect."
Thank you, that worked. I have another question if you don't mind:
I tried to restore OxygenOS with https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...xygenos-fastboot-roms-for-oneplus-8t.4348023/ but it cant find the create-logical device and delete-logical-device commands, also when I try to flash some of the image files fastboot complains about not being able to flash system critical files. I tried running fastboot flashing unlock_critical but that didn't change anything. Is there any other way to restore Oxygen OS with fastboot or is there any fix to my issues? I've been looking on the web for a few hours now, to no result.

The delete/create logical commands are in the thread OP, but you have to tap on "click to show" button.
Note that fastbootd is not the same as fastboot. And you need to be in that mode to avoid the "critical" warning and to be able to do the logical partitions stuff.
So, after massively failing to update my 8T I am stuck in a bootloop with a bit of Crash dump [dm-verity device corrupted force dump].
I am still able to access fastboot but that is it. I can't get adb working, when I attempt to enter recovery mode all I get is a black screen, MSM is not able to find my phone/I can't get my phone to enter EDL (been trying for about 5 hours now).
I feel so defeated by this can anyone help me?
Did you read my post (#2)?
Does your PC make a sound when you connect your phone to it in EDL mode? If so, try reinstalling the Qualcomm driver (though I've never needed to do that).
If you can get into bootloader, then you can try using the method in https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-unbrick-or-restore-to-oos-using-only-fastboot.4289013/

Whenever I connect my phone to the pc it just auto-boots. In my devices the driver does show up. But I don't think I have been able to access EDL.
I did reinstall the driver as well, no change. I tried installing the drivers and MSM stuff on a 2nd pc, still unable to get it going.
I did come across this method and my phone/fastboot keeps erroring whenever I try to use cmd for anything beyond Reboot fast boot. It's weird.

I see that your PC sees the phone (Qualcomm...) but has an ! against it. If you open that you should see the option to update the driver.
PS: you may need to flash boot, DTBO, and recovery in fastboot first before you can use fastbootd to flash the other partitions for the fastboot method.

Right but where's the update? From everything that I can find it is the most updated version

Ok I take back what I said! That link with the CMDs worked!
I really don't know what I did differently, probably skipped a step or something, but I was able to reset my phone!
Still unsure what is going on with the drivers but the crisis has been averted!
Thank you BillGoss! You are incredibly helpful!
Hey all!
Where do I start...? My apologies if my explanation is all over the place. I'll try to skip out all the parts that doesn't matter. Here it goes.
I wiped out my phone entirely to the point where there is only fastboot available. No recovery either. Storage is completely empty. Then, I found this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/restore-oneplus-9-to-stock-via-fastboot-commands.4265153/ and followed it through until step 5 where I can no longer flash anything further because I get this:
D:\adb>fastboot flash product product.img
Invalid sparse file format at header magic
Sending sparse 'product' 1/6 (262120 KB) OKAY [ 5.937s]
Writing 'product' FAILED (remote: 'No such file or directory')
fastboot: error: Command failed

I then tried what was mentioned on the note about switching partition between a/b (I was on B, then switched to A): Still the same error. So, I went looking for other guides and found this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/global-oneplus-9-msm-tool-updated.4284779/. I downloaded everything, but the MSM tool kept giving me a "Packed image not exist!" error. I did some digging on that too and found it was supposed to be in the same directory as certain files (I can't remember), so I dragged this to my adb tools folder and still got the same error. I gave up on this method.
Then, I remember finding somewhere about merging all the partitions into one or something of the sort but lost the link. It was also for an older OnePlus model so I wasn't sure if it would've worked anyway.
SO ANYWAY, here I am at a loss. A few things I also want to mention that I've tried if it might help any:
Booted Windows with driver signature enforcement disabled
Tried booting into recovery and it was just black
Flashed twrp but touch wasn't working for some reason
Was able to load into twrp where I could toggle between ADB/fastboot mode, but freezes if I decide to reboot into system (which brings me to twrp's main menu)
Referenced back to the first guide and found a script that Slikkster2k made for powershell, but I think it just continues despite failing on the same step thus making it unsuccessful (not Slikkster's issue of course)
Attempted to find a way to sideload a stock rom.zip but was unsuccessful
All of my adb drivers and OnePlus drivers are up to date
My bootloader is unlocked
I know there's a way to fix this phone because it can still boot. I just don't have enough knowledge or experience so I tend to get lost on certain tutorials/guides. Any help would be appreciated.
Model: LE2110
First of all, you need to provide us with the model of your OP9
Is it Tmobile LE2117? or else? Please check.

Right! Of all the things I mentioned, I forgot to list that.
My model is LE2110. Unlocked.
try using the MSM tool in the sticky above.
just make sure you are in EDL mode and that your OnePlus has enought battery power.
Try to use OP9 Pro Indian MSM Tool to get your phone working.
Then flash Indian OP9 MSM Tool..
Unfortunatly I can't find the the MSM tools now as the link is now.
However, you can also give this one a try :
[Locked] Global 11.2.10.10 MSM Tool (added experimental support for Indian variant flashing as well)
This method is outdated. You must use this method or you will run into problems...

I cannot reboot into EDL mode. I forgot how I got up to the part where I could toggle between adb/fastboot so I couldn't reproduce it.

Simple. To boot EDL you need to do the folowing, then flash using MSM Tool.
Open the MSM app, select 'Others', and next.
Once you're in the flashing window do the following:
1-plug the usb cable to the phone.
2-plug your phone to the cable and very quickly hold volume + and - and power button.
3-Once you see 'Connected' on the flashing window, Release the buttons.
4-Click on start before the device gets connected (sometimes issues with usb3.0)
To fix Sahara Communication Error:
Simply while the phone is plugged in, hold volume + and - and power button (all at once) till the the device gets disconnected, and then it'll show 'Connected', after that then release the buttons.
Alright. I got everything working and my phone is now back up and running again. Thanks so much!
So now my next question is if my phone is on an Indian ROM now or global? How would I check?

Download Oxygen Updater from the Play Store:
Oxygen Updater - Apps on Google Play
Skip staged rollout queues and update your OnePlus device ASAP!
play.google.com
Then Procced till the step where you choose your device name and model.
If the device name was put by default as 'OnePlus 9' then it is Global ROM
If the device name was put by default as 'OnePlus 9 IN' then it is Indian ROM
If the device name was put by default as 'OnePlus 9 EU' then it is European ROM
Alright. Just OnePlus 9 was selected so I'm on Global. Thank you so much for your help!
sometimes there's this thing about spoonfeeding too.
but hey, you got your phone back so congrats.
