Alright so I screwed Up. I got in a rush and followed some guys advice in a thread for a different phone and not sure how to get back on track. Can someone help?
Heres what I did.....
Code:
G:\Downloads\oneplus 6 root\android p>fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.3-0-enchilada.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (26744 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.569s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: (recovery_b) No such partition)
finished. total time: 0.577s
Nothing..... SO I googled and then typed this:
>>fastboot flash boot_b twrp-3.2.3-0-enchilada.img
Phone rebooted and showed twrp, cool. I restarted from there then, sh1t! Now I can't get back to twrp nor the os to follow the correct guide.
I tried holding power for 7 seconds - reboots and shows the red dot with white dots circling eternally
I tried holding volume down + power for 7 seconds - reboots and does the same thing
I tried holding volume up + power for 7 seconds - it goes into this all black recovery mode or something

You need to boot into fastboot and fastboot flash the stock boot.img from you PC. This should restore your stock boot and fix your issue.

hey @ajsmsg78. when i do adb devices through usb, it doesn't find it. it will keep booting to the red dot and spinning white dots around it. no recovery option appears on the phone. what mode do I have to be in for the pc to see it at this point?

CWM flashing not possible

Hey guys,
my bootloader is unlocked - so far, so good. however though, when I want to flash cwm, I'm getting this result:
C:\xyz>fastboot flash recovery cwmrecovery.img
(bootloader) Variable not supported!
target reported max download size of 31457280 bytes
sending 'recovery' (6632 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.558s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 1.838s]
finished. total time: 2.397s
so it looks successful. But I still have the stock recovery. When I'm trying the rom manager from the playstore alternatively, I'm getting an error right aways after the cwm download (looks as if nothing happened in between). Error message is simply "An error occurred while flashing your recovery"
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
After you fastboot flash recovery, IMMEDIATELY reboot to recovery. Do not reboot to Android.
Take a backup. Then boot to Android... should stick.
Yeah, I learned that the hard way....

Weird! I had the similar issue as described above. I'm able to successfully flash the CWM flash to the SPH-710 for me. However, can't boot INITIALLY to the CWM boot; It's able to successfully go into normal boot; But Volume-UP, Center button Power button, just blinks the custom boot screen once then the screen becomes blank for some time.
Can't get out of the Stock ROM boot up to CWM;

Nexus 5 bootloop. Can't access stock recovery

My Nexus 5 started bootlooping suddenly. I havent rooted my nexus5. I guess it will get fixed if I root it.
So I went to recovery mode and dead android guy came up with red exclamation and 'no command' shown. I pressed power+volUP but nothing happened. And also that screen doesnt stay for long, it will restart after few seconds and continue with the boot loop.
I tried cmd and entered "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". The cmd shows
Target reported max download size of 1073741824 bytes
sending recovery <14582 kb> ...
OKAY [0.64S]
writing recovery...
OKAY [1.109s]
finished. total time: 1.754s
After this when I go to recovery mode, it still shows no command and starts bootloop again

So it looks like its trying to install the rom.
if you cant enter recovery.
extract the recovery.img for the stock rom in the link below
boot into fastboot (power and volume up) then,
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
if you can enter recovery do this.
Turn off the phone and put this rom for the f1f on the micro sd card.
http://community.oppo.com/en/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=46153
then hold the power button and volume down and it should come up with a langauge to pick.
then press install from sd card.
select the rom.
if it fails keep trying. u can also try wiping data and cache

If fastboot mode is working, you can try to boot another recovery (twrp, with fastboot boot twrp.img) and wipe the cache partition (that might have update information on it).
If it's not enough, I'd try to wipe data. But before that, try to backup things while TWRP is working.

Looks like you have a locked bootloader with unlocking disabled via developer options. With bootloader locked,no recovery and cant boot to rom to enable bootloader unlocking you only real option is to follow instuctions in this post to flash back to original stock firmware using low level QDloader to flash entire phone in factory mode.
PS This is only for f1f not f1s. You do have a f1f, right?

Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM5
A triangle sign appears that needs to be defined
Does this affect
Even if it has a possible impact on its definition

You need to follow the instruction in the post I linked and "Install the QDLoader driver found in the DRIVER directory of the extracted archive". If its using the correct drivers the triangle should not be there. (you mean in contol panel?)
If you have problems PM the quy who posted the link. He said he would help.

XT1039 softbricked, any help or suggestions appreciated

Hello,
Edit: Don't know how or why, but after a couple of more tries I was able to boot the recovery directly and flash the rom. So everything is working fine right now. Admin/mod, would you like to close this thread? Thank you
For some reason I wanted to flash a new rom on my XT1039. In the process I screwed up and got it softbricked. I already had a look at the thread started by alfread56 and although the situation seems quite similar, the offered solutions didn't work out for me.
Right now my phone doens't have any rom installed. Flashing twrp with fastboot suggest everything works allright (using a linux system by the way):
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
(bootloader) has-slot:recovery: not found
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (8314 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.295s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.303s]
finished. total time: 0.598s
After the reboot and holding the buttons for recovery mode I still get the stock recovery screen. When I select recovery in this menu, the phone shuts down. Because I know holding the recovery buttons on reboot takes some timing, I have redone the procedure of flashing twrp and holding the buttons numerous times. But it never went to the twrp recovery.
Then I tried to boot the twrp image directly with
$ fastboot boot recovery.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.290s]
booting...
OKAY [ 0.230s]
finished. total time: 0.520s
Here I made a mistake: I have also flashed the boot partition with the twrp image with fastboot flash boot recovery.img (don't know how much of problem this is).
Booting up the TWRP image works fine. Then I've wiped dalvik, cache, data, internal storage and after several runs also deleted system by accident, and factory reset. When trying to flash the lineage zip everything works out fine for about 1 second, then the screen flashes en the phone is back in the TWRP screen. Too quick for me to see what the output is, but I do see there are not red marked lines (no errors)
I have tried it with several different ROMS (al checked), with several versions of TWRP and with fastboot and mfastboot. Does anybody know a solution on how to get twrp recovery working on my phone, or why I can't flash a rom when I boot twrp directly? Any help is appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

Fastboot mode freezing

Hi. I was following the instruction<oneplusDOTgadgethacksDOTcom/how-to/update-your-oneplus-7-pro-without-losing-root-no-computer-needed-0208078> to upgrade the os on the pro. One step is to install TWRP. I followed the instruction<twrpDOTme/oneplus/oneplus7proDOThtml> and run "fastboot boot twrp-xxxx.img". It finished and my phone displayed "fastboot mode" and freezed there. I tried to hold the power button and hold power button & volume down button. Neither worked. Aappreciate any help.
I only have a macbook pro.

You can upgrade the is without twrp, just go for local upgrade in updater app.
Also the terminal should show downloading boot.img message which is not shown in your case and it is evident that something is wrong.
Mess around a bit and you will figure it out
