Chimeratool Bootloader unlocking - Honor View 10 Questions & Answers

It seems the unlock codes closed yesterday and I‘ll only get my phone delivered today ?.
So I looked for other methods to unlock the Bootloader and Chimeratool claims to be able to do it for a fee. Has anyone tried this? DC-unlocker doesn‘t support this phone yet, so I‘m a little bit doubtful.
Or is there another way to unlock the Bootloader? I really want to have LienageOS or something else AOSP-like on something more modern than my Nexus 5X!

Then it can be unlocked by many other tools like earlier. After may 2018 update only the issue of unlocking started.

Something is really problematic here. Your product ID should not change with the EMUI version. I tried but getting error as-
Please make sure the verification code and model number are correct. If your device has multiple IMEIs or MEIDs, please try another IMEI or MEID.
or SN and IMEI doesnt match.
check if the data on phone and phone box are same.

Ugly problem. I remember that my product ID changed after the update, and I'm sure of this because i was preparing everything to unlock the bootloader and root my phone BEFORE the update, but at the end the OTA arrived earlier than expected so i rooted my phone only once i was on nougat... dunno how to fix data that are unmatchable (damn, Huawei!) I keep suggesting to rely on Huawei's assistance...

Maybe you try this site: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/. But i don't know if it is working. Atleast Honor 6x is in their supported phones list. And sadly it is not free.:crying:

Paid for it?
Is it kind of joke from Huawei. We dont get the code on official site due to one or the other reason but get the same on 3rd party after paying for it. How can they disclose our code on 3rd party and then other party charges us (may be share with Huawei as well)

Buying an unlock code is the only way that I know of - and even that is getting patched by Nokia. We can only hope that Nokia will allow official unlock for this phone soon.

Chinera I don't know. Dc-unlocker is basically an older version of HCU so it shouldn't work. If even Honor V10 is supported in DC? (Mate 10/Pro is not)

Only China variant of v10 is supported. I tried for my C675 version and not worked. Seems Huawei is closing all the backdoor slowly. Even FBlock didn't help me

I meant for HCU. In DC no newer phones are supported. Well, it finds it and all that but the options you get are very limited. I think I could only Network unlock on Mate 10.
It is good in one way, so not 2 companies have monopoly over the whole grey area. Bad if you mess up, as DC phoenix can fix most phones. And no unlocking of bootloader either.

Uh, that's frp erase, not bootloader code. You need to use HCU client (same login as dc-unlocker.)

Ah, sorry. I read "frp erase failed".
Anyway.
You might be able to downgrade to a previous version of your firmware, as chinese V10 was supported. I'm not sure when it was patched though. It could be in June firmware as Mate 10, so I suggest downgrading to
a May firmware. B172 is from May.
Anyway, you can find dload firmware on androidhost.ru, just search for BKL.
Instructions can be found in the "Documentation" folder of the downloaded zip.

Yes, but did you try to downgrade with Funky and what was the error/how did it fail?
Rebrand using FH won't work as it uses backdoor to do it, and that was patched in june/July, same with unlock code

TMobile oneplus 8 modified MSM tool available yet?

I have a OP8 from Tmobile that they will not unlock. Has anyone found a way to rebrand the 8 away from TMobile without unlocking the bootloader?
I have found the modded MSM tool for the 8T but nothing for the 8 except the original MSM tool.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I've been wondering the exact same thing , all it is is something in the code telling it relock the bootloader after flashing the software and I know that part works because I've downgraded android versions on a locked financed phone three times now... You would think everyone would be asking to make one for the 8 also..
I am also waiting for Unlocking of Oneplus 8 tmobile Bootloader without unlock token

Wait a few days, call in and let 'em know it's because you're developing for the device.
If you're out of your 14 day return window they're generally pretty nice about it, but it'll still depend on the rep you get. (Can't take a return phone thats been unlocked, causes all sorts of issues)

Question Is Pixel 6a SIM unlockable on A13?

New to all of this. I used to jailbreak, unlock iPhones but am unfamiliar with this side of things. I was able to remove the passcode and Google account off the Pixel 6a which was on A13 and updated to the most recent patch (Let me know if you need instructions as that was not easy for me to find). But now I found that it is locked to AT&T which I do not have. Is it possible?
You may have bought a locked model by accident

I'd be interested to learn how you did this. I'm assuming a factory reset via recovery isn't enough?
If you have bought a carrier locked device, you may need to contact them to see if it can be unlocked
