Alternate apps for gravitybox and network meter on Android P - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

I was hooked on to the battery indicator from Gravity box (percentage within the circle) and network meter on the top (without having to expand the status bar) using network meter xposed modules.
Now that was all using Xposed, since we don't have Xposed for Android P yet and not expected anytime soon.. Any alternate suggestions for the 2 shared use case scenarios?
Thanks!

Oh yes, and 2 more features - seeing remaining memory on recent apps view and adding am / pm to the clock (this is the least important off them all). Thanks!

Sounds great, thanks. Will try it out but if I find something for stock, even better

This all mess is due to notch. It takes up space pushing other icons under notch. I tried to do it but looks insane.

I had a pretty dope setup on Android 8.1 - Magisk + Xposed got it tweaked out to exactly how I like it.
Just saw, Havoc is an AOSP based Rom. That unfortunately is a no go for me. I love OOS.
Still open to suggestions!

it's coincidental that I changed my rom back to oxygen OS few minutes after using AOSP.

Few mins = almost non-coincidental

Just wanted to bump the thread and see, if anyone knows of options!

edXposed is the replacement of Xposed in Andoid pie. edXposed supports all xposed modules.

XPOSED APS WORKING on TW 5.1.1

I have been searching for which XPOSED APs seem to work well on XPOSED for the NOTE 5 - I personally have found a couple of apks that work for me - some that work partially - etc.
I thought it would be nice to have a thread where you can post working apks for XPOSED that you using.
XBLAST - Original thread this is one that seems to work the best for me: (you will want to download version 1.8.8
working Advanced REBOOT MENU
Modify Colors on Wifi/Data/Clock in Status Bar
modify Status Bar Background
(I haven't checked to see if I can change the notification pull down yet or not)
Gravity Box - LP - XPosed repository - some of the things work in GraVITY box - BUT anything working that I found in Gravity is also working on XBLAST - I am not using Gravity any longer but you can find the current and older versions of Gravity at the link above.
YouTube Ad Away Xposed Repository
Android Theme Engine - XPOSED REPOSITORY - This one is cool, you can change the icon used for Wifi/Data in status bar and a number of other themeing options - not sure all options work but most of the ones I tried work very well.
Greenify - Google PLAY
That is the extent of what I have found so far - if you have found any other working xposed aps you want to share, post a link and description here. I will try to keep this thread up to date and will add xposed aps you post here in the op as time goes on.
Thanks to @wanam for all his work getting XPosed Framework working on the NOTE 5 and thanks to all the developers who created these awesome apks for us to use. Don't thank me for putting this thread together - be sure and show thanks to the devs who create your favorite Xposed aps. And when you can, consider sending them a donation to show your real gratitude.

If you have links or instructions on where you can download these that would be helpful - if they are just in the Xposed repository, that is ok too - just say so so people know how to get them easily.
Thanks

Wanam was causing my phone to not start up. After 45 min of sitting, it would never get passed the T-Mobile screen. Tried many times. I'll have to make a nandroid and try out the newest version.
In terms of what I've found to work:
DS Battery Saver
FingerLock
Greenify
XInsta
Zoom for Instagram
here what I have running with xposed so far...
also have Viper audio, but that's not an Xposed module

Wife Icon - Data Icon - (those two really) there are two different "android theme" xposed apks - make sure you are on the right one...I am hoping that future development will open up more functionality on this and other apks in xposed -
screen shot shows the icons that I have themed with that apk View attachment 3468334 I didn't get a lot of themeing out that apk - but little by little more will happen (hopefully)
is there a stable version of xposed? or is 2.7 the only version that works for note 5

I continue to look for xposed apks that give themeing capabilitiers of one kind or another. I know about Wanam Xposed and use that for somethings - but with the NOte 5 -I have not found a themeing option that allows me to theme the toggles effectively, like I could on the NOte 4 and earlier phones. Does anyone know about an xposed apk that does offer good themeing capabilities for the Toggles? Either using color or new icons? And how does that impact with the Theme Store themes?
clear defaults too, which is one of my Favorite

Xposed modules for the OnePlus 2

Figured we could use a thread like this, so here we go. Feel free to post the modules you're using, requests for compatibility or just general discussion.
I'll kick off with the few I'm using:
Clean Lockscreen (Repo) | (No XDA thread)
SNAPPREFS (Repo) | (XDA thread)
YouTube AdAway (Repo) | (XDA thread)
I've found GravityBox to be too buggy and unreliable to use in case anyone was wondering. It doesn't play well with O2OS at all.
Greenify + PowerNap

I tweak a few things
• Percentage on battery icon (I mean I use standard circle battery icon but percentage is in the middle of it)
• Date next to time
• Network traffic
• Quick shortcuts : no more brightness bar and added battery shortcut (no icon, but I can swith on/off battery saver mode quickly) -> with those modifications I can't use the little shortcut (the grey four-squares button on top right) to readjust shortcuts positions but I can use the GravityBox settings to do it.

I think they are the only tweaks I set. I use a standalone module for progressbar (statusbar download progress) which works really fine
Other modules working :
Amplify
Greenify
App Settings (at least for per-App DPI setting)
XuiMod (nice Xperia toast animation, just need to reboot after a change)

I'm using Xposed GEL Settings but it will not unlock the premium features. Says "Lucky Patcher" is installed and that I need to uninstall it to gain access to the premium features. I googled Lucky Patcher and among other things, it is used to get around IAP's. I don't have it installed so I'm unsure what is going on. Anyone else run into this?
Edit: I've done a factory reset and installed nothing but xposed and gel settings and still get this error so it appears it's something within the OS. I don't have this problem on any of my other devices (I have many).
Edit 2: when I trigger the soft keys, the premium features of GEL Settings begin to work. I can then go back to hardware buttons and the features remain. A reboot resets this. So, it looks like something in the software regarding the hardware keys makes GEL Settings think this "Lucky Patcher" is installed.

xposed-v73-sdk22-arm64.zip yeah. Note that you need the 22 SDK as O2OS is based on Lollipop 5.1.

Working Substratum themes

I'm creating this so hopefully people who want to can share which Substratum theme they're using/used.
I'm running AOSP and so far have only used Flux. It's a great looking theme but would be interested in trying new ones.
If you choose to share be sure to include which rom you're running.
And if applicable please share any special directions. ***Someone just helped me apply a theme. The actual instructions were a little different than the one the app tells you to use.
I am already on OB32 and i have working since months the following themes:
- Swift black ( System and overall third party apps )
- PitchBlack ( Everything )
- Ozone ( Yep, even without updates i use this theme only for the quick settings rows of 5 )
- AOD Digit Customizer ( Works great for the ambien display, i changed the 1 number to blue )
- AospUI Black ( System and overall third party apps )
Those themes are the ones that i have on my substratum.
Have a great day

Which ROM/ROMs did you apply these themes to?
Here's where it gets confusing to me.
Regardless of whether we're running stock, AOSP, Los etc. we all have to flash Oxygen OS firmware. Does this cause any conflicts?
Example-- if it says 'Oxygen OS not supported', but I'm running AOSP on my OP5T, does that mean the theme should work?

Yes, the themes should work. I've tried all of those themes on multiple roms, and they all work. Some are better supported than others, so there may be some icons that aren't themed, but overall they should work on any ROM aside from Oxygen OS.

These seem to work well on 9.0.8, even navbar is themed, and QS tiles can be edited. We all know by now the wrong theme can soft-brick your device, but these are solid and worth the money and gotta support the devs
Aether - edits QS rows, columns, and changes position of the clock
Ethereal - is a dark theme with pastel colours, but themes navigation bar, so I'm only using add-ons that theme system icons, QS, status bar.
SwiftDark - provides dark theme to apps, white backgrounds are blinding.
AOD Customizer - Speaks for itself

How to add AM/PM to the clock?

I don't know if I'm missing it or what, but I can't find a setting to add AM/PM to the clock in the status bar at the top of the screen. Without those labels it feels like it's using 24 hour time and it makes 3:00 look like 3:00 AM to me. Obviously I know if it's morning or afternoon but looking at the clock like this makes me think the time is set incorrectly (even if only for a second) and it's annoying me.
I have magisk installed and I'm on the March security update. I have no problem using a magisk module for this but hopefully there's just a default setting that I've overlooked.
There maybe other ways to do this, but I'm pretty sure Gravity box (an Edxposed module) can add the am/pm.

That's an impressive list of modifications. There's a lot of stuff in there that I either don't understand or don't need so I'm probably going to pass on it. I think I'm probably just going to use the 24 hr clock instead.

All features that the module(s) add can be controlled by yourself. This means that if you want, or not, to enable them is up to you just like on a custom ROM. The mod adds a new app "Rom Control" from where you can enable/disable the custom features to your liking.
That being said, just do what you want...not forcing you into something or whatever.
Cheers!
Oh shoot, I didn't realize that. I'm going to try it out. Thanks man!

Question How to swap navbar buttons via Magisk or any other way

Longtime xda user but have been out of the modding scene for many many years now, so forgive me if my question is stupid. Just got the P7P and put magisk etc on it. I don't like gesture navigation, and I am surprised that google doesn't allow nav bar button customization, which is something that has existed on various android implementations for as long as android has been around. Is there a magisk module that can do this on the latest 12/22 firmware? All google search results return with very old posts, and at this time I don't know how to recover from a bootloop if I do take a chance on flashing something.
Something that I had personally suggest is the Navigation Bar (9.0 +) module for Magisk, you can find it on Github.
Here's a link: Navigation Bar (9.0+)
There are many more methods but you can mention me anytime if this doesn't works.

Check out AOSP mod. It allows configuration for the nav buttons. It is a good replacement for Gravitybox.
After years of 3 button nav, I switched to gestures. It took a few days to get used to it. Now it is built into my flabby muscle memory.

Don't seem to have any issue with gestures and side panels.
