I am currently on Open Beta 3 for Android P, and I am confused about if I have to revert back to OOS 5.1.11 to get Android 9.0 official update, or I have to wait till I get it in my settings -> update on Open Beta 3
I just downloaded the (incrememental update) from oxygen updater and I am not rooted without twrp. Should. Just straight update it in settings with the downloaded update? Or do I download the full package and go into recovery and wipe. Please reply ASAP with detailed explanation.
Just use Oxygen Updater, download the incremental package. When it's done, go to settings, software update, local updates.
Did this yesterday night, no root.
Do you need to wipe in recovery afterwards? And also I tried but it says you cannot downgrade on settings and update

You would be on a stable release. We are talking about upgrading from beta to the stable pie release.
So would I have to downgrade back to stable 5.11 Oos? If so, how?
I'm also on Open Beta 3. I hope OTA comes out without having to make a factory reset...

Thats because you cant update the beta with this official release so you have to flash it from twrp
For those of you who are on open beta builds ,you would need wait for the download link to be published on downloads.oneplus.com , and as mentioned in the beta posts ,Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (full wipe of all data and cache).

Yeah this cannot be applied to rooted devices.
I am going to try to mod this file so rooted users can flash this.
I am just going to TRY.
I made an nandroid of my device right after I unlocked it and applied twrp, so I just have to restore system (to remove xposed, etc) , boot (as I have a custom kernel and system-less root) and stock recovery and it should flash ok.
I have a European device...

I'm aware of that, thanks. Euro OTA was captured already and I've also got the notification to flash.
I was just providing information.

I have the Nougat Beta flashed via Odin, and I don't seem to be able to get the OTA update. Is there a way we could actually get the update not being in the Beta program?

I also flashed the beta using odin (full flash including CSC). After flash, I installed the beta program APK to sign into beta and so far, I have received both beta updates via OTA.
(My phone is from official Slovak distribution and I am located in Slovakia)
I want download link please
How do you do the full flash with Odin??

Did you update from Stable to the Dev? I've tried the same method and it's not working (i.e. Stable > Dev Beta).
