Looks like the 5GHz band of Wireless-N is NOT supported. Why would Moto drop support for this? Looks like another step backwards. Does anyone think this could be turned on via software? I know the EVO 4G had it's entire Wireless-N radio disabled by HTC out the gate and it was re-enabled via software by XDA Devs.

I believe that they used the Wilink 7.0 chipset which would have 5ghz support. However it's my guess they didn't want to include a 5ghz antenna for size and cost. Just my guess but I doubt seriously the Razr will work 5ghz if this turns out to be the reason. The Wilink 7.0 chipset allows for all comm on one chip and no external GPS chip with lower power.
I went 2.4 N on my router so it goes through walls better. 5ghz would not have had the range I needed
My nvidia shield cant get 4g network where my phone does, at first I tought it might be a network problem or SIM problem so i swapped the phone and tablet simcards without any improvement. My oppo find7 can access 4g with both simcards and the nvidia shield with neither of them.
Its the EU model so it should work here, according to the specs it supports all the LTE bands available in spain
¿Does anyone know what could be the problem? ¿ Anyone got 4g properly working?
I am on latest 5.0.1 update.
I am using htc one m8. it supports 3g and 4g. but whenever i turn on 3g the network signals got disconnected. what is the reason and what is the solution. i have to restart my phone and after some time it becomes perfect. plz help me fix this problem. it is currently working on android 4,0 kitkat version.
Well that might have something to do with your carrier or it could be hardware. You can register if you like and ask your question here
Good luck
Hi I got realme 5 pro 8gb variant 2 days ago as per specs it supports dual-band wifi 5ghz but it is not detecting my 5ghz wifi from the router. can someone please help me with this?
I tried to change the channel but in vain. That 5ghz wifi is shown on my laptop but not on phone.
Almost the same happens with my Realme Q. When I share hotspot on 2.4 GHz every device detects it and is able to connect. When I share 5 GHz mobile devices won't see it neither does my old Desktop PC that has wifi adapter.

Yeah its really sad for me because i got a new 5Ghz Router then i thought my internet will be stable as there are many 2.4Ghz wifi devices in my neighborhood so i decided to move to dual-band to get rid of disconnections and unstable speed

I think the issue has something to do with antenna of the device and which bands does it support. Perhaps? I'm sure they use different bands in china and different lte/4g/wifi technologies there than someplace else, other countries in the world.
Hello All,
I have Realme X2 Pro. I can connect to my 5GHz home wifi. But I am not able to create a 5GHz hotspot from the phone ....very frustrating.
I got a realme 5 pro 8gb and it its detecting my 5ghz wifi
Check and try change your Channel WIFI 5G and Setting Region...some region can accesss Limit Channel WIFI...I have same Problem but now Detect after Change my Channel WIFI 5G.
my R5Pro have the same problem, but when i change settings channel at my dlink router, the problem is solved. I change to chanel 149.
Hey, so I'm trying to switch from 2.4Ghz to 5Ghz band for my mobile hotspot. The problem is that not a single phone seems to recognise the network. The phones do support 5Ghz networks, so I believe the problem has to do with the broadcast channel that my A52 utilises. Does anyone have an idea? Your assistance will be truly appreciated.
Bump.
