Hello!
I am using 3rd party flip covers with my P20 , when i close the cover then the screen still stays on. Smart cover is enabled in the settings.
With 3rd party software from the play store it works but then the face recognition and fingerprint scanner is not working.
Any tips?
Thanks
Edit:
Found a solution for this. You need a magnet to touch a certain spot on the phone (see the picture)

}
Then just put the magnet into the flip covers to the right place (i.e card slot) . And everything works then

Keep your Android device automatically unlocked when placed in the car holder!
Once charger is connected and device orientation matches the angle of a car holder, sleep mode/phone lock is prevented.
You are no longer required to unlock the phone in order to make a phone call, play music or run navigation software

Nice idea. Very useful. I wish it was free.
There are development expenses to be covered ...
Hopefully the next apps will be free...
Hi, I have bought the galaxy s6 with the sview cover. It always opens when i dont intend it too so i looked online for a solution and found this. http://www.spigen.com/collections/galaxy-s6/products/magnetic-clip-for-original-flip-cover-galaxy-s5-galaxy-alpha-and-note-3-note-4
was hoping if anyone else with an s6 and Sview cover has tried it on there phone before me buying. My concern is that the magnet attached on the phone is to be placed directly above the sim tray which i though might affect signal.
TIA to anyone who replies
It looks like it's below the slim tray.

Looking at the way it goes on...would it not possibly mark the screen from wear and tear?
Maybe not, but from the fitment instructions it looks like its a possibility
yeah thats one of my main concerns about this
Hi guys,
I have a Sony Z1 and love to use it for navigation @hiking. Well I decided to replace it with a Mate 9. But I need to know the GPS sensors position. On my Z1 it is on the ears side, top left. I have found a technical paper on the Sony side somewhere.
Any such knowledge for the m9?
Tia! best regards, Michael
For sure on the top half of the phone.
according to this, it's on the when looking at the front of the phone. The GPS seems to be the BCM4774 chip (see link under)

and to give you an idea, here's the phone opened (you see there the other side of the motherboard). I'd say the GPS is 2cm from the top of the phone
Hello,

}
I know how to mirror the picture vertically but this doesnt solve my problem.
Is there a software function to turn around the picture? I cant turn the camera physically because then i cant see the road anymore .
Had no one heard of this problem before or can help me?
You would have to open the casing and turn the camera module 180°.

As the picture shown, I made it to peel off the sticker of the backpiece and all functions works perfect, however, if I want to let the lifting front lens visible, I have to remove the upper cover which contains nfc parts, is there any method to remove the nfc and stick to the contact point ?
A nfc antenna is just a coil, you could use any off of another device. Or make your own.
Did you figure out what to do with the NFC antenna? i want to do a transparent/naked look on my 7t pro and i really need the NFC to continue working. any ideas ?
maybe un-glue the antenna and solder the contacts to be able to move it lower somewhere?
is there anything else important on that plastic backpiece?
thx!
