My Galaxy S7 SM-G930A does not turn on in any way.
It was working well, suddenly it was hanging, with the screen off and the LED flashing green. I could not turn it off in any way, I left it until it ran out of battery.
Now it does not turn on; when connected to charge the battery, it does not show the logo of the battery, the screen does not turn on, the LED does not turn on.
I already tried several chargers, including a wireless charger.
I already tried all the key combinations, and none works.
The computer does not recognize when I connect it.
Same problem here, I disassembled it, checked all connectors but nothing changed.
I spotted some videos in YouTube for dead motherboards S7, some guys re-flow a certain chip in the motherboard and apparently it works ...
I will try that when I can
If this can help you
Have a nice day

My s7 is still dead. Any other ideas, before trying reballing?
Bricked S7
Hi All,
My S7 also started laging yesterday and freezed the screen with not led on. After that, started to boot showing the logo over and over. Reboot-ed pressing down low+ power several times, performed a factory reset, same issue. Tried to charge it with an original charger, nothing changed. Now waiting for battery to drain and try to boot-it/charge it again.
Please advise if you know how can I fix my brick
Cheers!
If you can get it into download mode, you could try a full stock flash using Odin, usually fixes most things.
USB jigs have been pretty successful at waking bricked devices.
Dont power on. in any mode.
No download mode, no recovery.

Hello,
recently, my 7Pro drained all the battery and turned off. When I got home, I plugged it in and waited to finish the charging. After 20 minutes I noticed that the phone powers on, put the announcement that the battery is critically low, stays on for about 3-5 minutes, then turns off itself. After that it shows big battery icon on a screen and nothing is happening. Again, when I plug the cable out and in again, the phone starts and behave again the same (stays on and then turn off by itself).
Does anyone encountered similar problem? Could it be faulty battery? I've tried 3 different chargers (including car), tried to charge it from my 2 computers, tried charging while in bootloader mode, also I've reset it to defaults (+; - ; power). Nothing helped so far.
I have it still in warranty, but I have cooked ROM made by ansar. I'm a little afraid to send it like that to HTC.
Any advices greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
OK,
I will answer myself
Do not give a phone to your younger brother! Little brat somehow changed USBMode to "diag" and uninstalled the app! I have restored the phone to defaults and managed to check that before it turns off. After switching to Zune mode, the phone is charging without any problems.
So anyone having similar problem might want to check it out before panicking like me.
Hi everyone,
I've searched something with the search option but I did not find anything like my problem.
Problem is: I've a stock rom 4.4.2 on my note, but I've rooted once my tablet with a cyanogen, then I come back to a stock rom.
Yesterday it worked well. During the night I charged my note, this morning it appears only on boot logo, then I switched off to try to reboot but now it seems dead, it doesn't switch on, neither on odin or recovery mode, neither vibrate, neither charge (no logo on charging).
I've tried other cable which works 100%, and the charger of device works too (it charges my cellphone as example).
I've tried all combination of buttons (power+volume up or down or both), and nothing, the charger remains cold so doesn't charge. I think to test battery with external tester, and then I've to see if it is the battery or not.
Any other idea from you guys?
Any news on this?
Hello,
I have the same issue although I have stock firmware. On night after charging from a almost empty battery (5%) the screen didn't com back up. Totally black. The Charger seems OK and no improvement after using another charger as well. I'm interested to hear if and how this was resolved.

Hi All,
I wonder if you may be able to help. This morning we discovered one of our S7 phones was a black screen with solid blue light. It seemed completely unresponsive to touch, wouldn't wake. etc. The home, volume and power buttons seemed to do nothing. I plugged the phone into the computer, it didn't pick up a USB device.
Phone is stock from EE in the UK. No custom anything. Model: SM-930F 32GB.
EE and Samsung couldn't suggest anything to help.
We tried Power + Volume Down - This results in one of the following;
A (A battery with the current fill %) this happens when plugged in
B (Samsung Galaxy S7 powered by android) loading screen which then cycles or returns to a black screen with solid blue LED
We also tried Power + Volume Down + Home button. This does load the Warning screen about using a custom OS.
We have next day replacement warranty on the phone, i don't need to fix this phone. We only want to try and recovered some data and photos
Any help appreciated.
Kind Regards.

Hi, try turning off the App Power saving mode!! i had these problems also and it was caused by a app that cant handle the always on setting so when you use that app and then turn the phone in standby it will cause the freeze/black screen
Were you ever able to fix this problem? I just had it happen to me and I'm in the same situation.
This just happened to me. After an hour spent with tier II tech support, no progress.
You need to let the phone die completely. Once it's dead (and the blue light) is no longer dead, plug the phone into an OEM walk charger. In my situation,my s7 edge would vibrate to recognize the charge, than reset - before it could even build up a charge (so I thought). I left it alone for an hour or so, and amazingly, it booted up like normal.
Good luck!
I have this problem. How long will it take the battery to drain from fully charged with just the blue light on.
This just happened to me as well. I hope draining the battery works. This occurred when my battery drained and the phone turned off. When I tried to turn it back on after letting it charge for a few minutes it looked like it started to boot, then went to a black screen with a solid blue light. No button combination has any effect.
EDIT: Waiting until the battery died and then attempting to charge the phone has had no effect. No combination of keys has an any effect, either.
EDIT #2: I've taken my phone into the Verizon store. They tell me it's an issue with software and the phone is dead. They said this is "rare". Considering what I see here, I can't say how rare I find it. I have insurance, so they're replacing it, but now they're not keeping up their end of the deal on when the replacement phone will be delivered.
Flash it!
I had the exact same symptoms. What did the trick for me was draining out the battery and then fully charging it, WITHOUT TURNING ON the phone. If you do turn it on, you need to drain it out again. When the phone was fully charged I booted up the download mode and flashed the stock firmware with Odin. That was it, my Galaxy S7 was fully functioning again.
Hope this helps someone out there.
Just experienced kinda the same problem.
S7 died overnight on the charger. I was lucky to wake up on my own.
Just blue led.
I let it drain out over the day so it turned off (vol- + power no working).
Charged it a bit and try to go to recovery: loaded recovery but completely frozen.
I let it drain again and recharged it after it turned off.
Then I went to DL mode and reflashed latest carrier stock rom. AP. CP. BL. CSC. All.
Flashed fine! After rebooting it said "erasing...", rebooted and is back to the blue led only.
Strongly suggesting a hw issue at this point.
I'll let it drain again, fully recharge it, flash a non branded stock rom. If that wont work i'll probably need to bring it to my carrier on monday. Too bad its friday...
//Phone is r.i.p. even after a re flash of stock fw with full battery it only boots to blue led.
//Phone even deader. No more response in any way.
(some time later)
//Just received the repair report. The mainboard and some minor components were replaced under warranty even though my phone was rooted. Good thing for me it never turned on again.
I have the worst problem, it began after i upgraded GT-N8000 to kitkat,by UAE ROM, but it works for few months, and USB is not debugging enabled, by mistake...
Until i forgets it on the power fro four hours, then i discovered that it is rebooted and rebooted and rebooted and stuck on the samsung icon, i took it for samsung to fix it they told it is motherboard, and has a price more than the device itself, so i took it from them, and tried to start it, it is failed to start after... i removed the cover and removed the battery for a minute, useless, i couldn't turn it again, i did all the things on the internet, useless.
The PC is not detecting the device.
The device is not starting on.
the battery is removed many times, and plugged again.
Even i tried to charge the battery using its poles by a direct charger on it, while it is unplugged from the motherboard.
The device can't be started or give any power on the screen...
Kindly help... Thanks always in advance.
