my camera has a hq 8mp sensor in it but built in camera app can only record 720p and the specs of the phone say its can only record 720p but seeing as 8mp is higher then 1080p video it should be fine right
i have another app on my phone that can record in 1080p but would this just be upscaled from the 720p video?
i know how taking a photo works but not sure how taking video with a camera works so thought i would ask here thanks
I remember video stabilization not working on 4K video recording, but a few updates ago it was fixed. However, after that update 1080p video stabilization stopped working. So now 720p and 4k videos are stabilized but 1080p are not.
Anyone has this problem? 4k videos usually take too much space, but I prefer 1080p over 720p..
Working well for me but I'm on Global BETA MIUI 10 8.8.2
Hi All!
I have a strange issue when i recording a video with my OP6. The file size is very big in 720P, 1080P and 1080P 60fps.
I attached 5 screenshot from 5 different recording mode.
720P, 1080P, 1080P 60fps, 4K and 4K 60fps.
I have stock OOS 9.0.5 on rooted phone.
Its that a bug or something else?
I have the solution.
I installed an module for Magisk, that is the reason of the higher bitrate of the 720P, 1080P and 1080P 60fps videos.

It seems that I can only watch the YouTube videos at a maximum resolution of 720p despite some videos having 1440p or even 1080p. How do I enable this? Thank you.

Maximum playback for YouTube is 1080P because it's a 1080p Display.
Otherwise you can use YouTube Vanced, there you can watch videos in 4k+.
The phone can record 1080p 120fps slow motion videos with front camera. But it cannot record 60fps normal video? Anyone know why?
