I continued with technical support in Nubia to ask them about the update nx589j_ENcommon_V1.04 and they answered as follows

Hello,
ist there overview of what is available?
- V2.16 CN-common was installed from beginning on my phone, run but drains battery a lot!
-> V3.07 & V 3.04 CN seems available, but I cannot install on mine with TRWP
-> nx589j_ENCommon_V1.04 = is that really version 1.04, or newer CN version content just in lover EN revision, due to less releases?
Where to download, if available?

If you went to play store, it should have told you it is not compatible or is compatible with your phone, if your saying your running 2.3.6 most developers today are starting at 4.0 or even 5.1 as minimum for apps since hardware has changed since 2.3
I recently purchased Realme 5i, and when it was updated, the stated latest version is RMX2030EX_11_C.53. However, since I wanted to test out the smooth scrolling feature, impatiently I went to the Realme India software update website to obtain the latest version. It was successfully installed, but then later after further research, I realized that each region has its own intended ROM. Is there a way for me to revert to my default ROM (Malaysia)?

Maybe a typo? Look at Settings -> About Phone -> Software Information -> Android Version and OneUI Version to confirm the real version after update.
That's a typo. Bet they're excited
I saw that on mine too. It's a typo. I also noticed that it still says OneUI 4.1 in the software information, not OneUI 4.1.1. Which the previous update (Update 8) said was included.
