Do you know if SIM cards can detect the phone's specific firmware?
SIM cards can access and store general information from your phone like IMEI and other security keys, messages and call numbers... Now let's say I have installed Liniage OS or any other custom or different official firmware from the default. Can the SIM card still have access to those bits of information?

How can i check whether my sim card is 64k pr not??? The reason i m asking this is that I m planning to flash a custom ROM in my Micromax A110 and many users are complaining that there old sim cards are not working whereas 64k sim cards are working. So i want to check whether my sim card is 64k or not. I have already checked the sim card. Its not written anywhere on the sim
i had boot formatted my titanium S5, then any how i recovered my mobile without using J-tag box.
But after that my sim is detected in my phone and it show operator name also but there is no network signal, i tried to set it from setting by mannual network slection or automatically network selection but nothing work.
also my SD card is detected but whenever i insert any SD card in it, it say card need to format.
i had tried flashing stock rom, custom rom, changing kernal everything, but got bad luck.
IMEI is poping up when dial *#06#
i also showed it to local repair shop to check any hardware problem, he says hardware is fine.
I am new to all this flashing firmware to Android phones,

first you must confirm your phone card slot are dual sim card slot ,you can buy a dual sim version card slot and put it in your single sim version,i have tested ,my xzp is single sim card but i
found it sd card slot is a dual purpose card slot. i recommend you flash oreo dual sim version firmware and unlock your phone,root. modified the system build.prop ,find "persist.radio.apm_sim_not_pwdn=1" change the"1"to"0",restart your phone and dual sim will work with SDcard together

it does not work .... You can not use 2 SIM cards and SD card together ....
Anyway, my question is about using my dual G8142 with 2 SIM cards (3UK Slot1 and VodafoneCZ Slot2) "no SD Card" on Band 20 = 800Mhz network with my 3UK SIM and therefore being able to make VoLTE calls and possibly Wi-Fi calling instead of their ThreeIn Touch app that sucks ...

The only way to change SIM number is to change the SIM card itself.

Even if you did find a way to change the SIM number, it would probably make your device lose service and network connectivity.
