i believe they will update (release) only after they migrate to marshmallow with lollipop we are stuck with these kernel sources

Problem about possible locked bootloader in the ROM.
Hey guys I have a bit of a problem. I am currently running the MIUI 6.6.10.0. , not rooted but I had flashed the stock recovery with TWRP And now I want to upgrade to 7.2.3.0 but I have heard that all MIUI 7.1+ Roms have locked bootloaders and if you try to modify the recovery when the bootloader is still locked, you can get your phone bricked. So my problem is that the recovery is already modified and if I flash 7.2.3.0 I am unsure if my phone would brick itself just because I have twrp still installed. Please help if you can.

I unfortunately got bootloop while trying to flash a zip file. I am on MIUI v7.2.3.0. I found out the problem is with Frameworks. I didnt take the backups
So somebody on this rom with root privilege pls pls pls copy their Frameworks.jar & Services.jar from /system/framework and attach it here. Otherwise I have to flash the whole System.

As far as I know its ok to flash custom recoveries and custom roms while your bootloader is locked but you need to be rooted ofcourse... You need to have your BL unlocked if will flash custom kernels...

Just flash 6.6.10
Then flash any AOSP custom rom
It should works fine....
Don't forget to wipe data and cache

I'm on RR Remix Rom with firmware 6.6.x but i want to install the global stable 7.2.3. Can i just install the zip from recovery or anything else needed to be done ??

I have no root and no twrp installed.So can I flash it by stock recovery and if some thing goes wrong then is there any backup and restore process in stock recovery??

Anyone else having problems installing either Package Disabler or Adhell? Adhell doesn't even show up in the Play store for me now, and the engine component for PD won't properly take device admin rights.

My settings won't even work after the update, if I go to settings and then choose anything, it force closes. My lockscreen will also not work, I had it set for pin/fingerprint, but now there is nothing. And I can't alter the security settings.
Same. The update hit and I can't access my settings. Re-enabling various apps hasn't helped. I'm wondering what's breaking it?

Hi everyone. I'm currently on Android 10 and unfortunately I inadvertently clicked the update from the notifications - I haven't clicked the prompt to "OK" which is saying my phone will be unrooted after updating, and I immediately force closed it and restarted my phone.
I understand Android 11 is still full of bugs and does not yet support TWRP so I don't want to update yet.
I also disabled automatic system updates via my developer options.
I also froze the following via Titanium: dynamic system updates 10, system update 2.1.3 and system updates 3.0.5.
1) Is it safe to freeze those three apps?
2) Have I done enough to prevent my phone from downloading the system update to Android 11?

Hi everyone, I am a long-time user of the forum who recently purchased this tablet. It was delivered to me with fake global rom and I managed following the guides on the forum to flash the CN rom and block the bootloader. In doing so I managed to enable ota updates and certified L1, but now I have two problems, and specifically in this thread I will submit one that in my opinion is the worst: notifications problems. I tried to turn off battery optimization for the apps I was interested in receiving notifications, but despite this the notifications still do not arrive in any way, have you also had this problem? Is there anyone who by chance has solved it and in case knows how to help me? Thank you in advance for your support
You need to look for an app called security or security center. Within there you'll find an option to whitelist the apps you use regularly.
Sadly my tab suffers from the same bug described here

There is no fix yet as far as I am aware. They need to release an OTA. Its been an issue for a while though! What a joke the chinese software is!

Yeah sadly i think i have a newer version of the app and i can't install it , i tried also to uninstall with ADB command but it says failed not installed for user 0 , idk how to solve it
Also you can't disable it as the app controls permissions.
Do you know how to extract an app? When my XiaoXin Pad Pro 12.6 arrives late next week (hopefully) I could try and extract the latest version as I belive they've fixed it via an OTA.
i created a backup of the faulty app with es file explorer, but even trying to reinstall the one that is the same version gives me an error, i tried downloading app ops as someone suggested on the forum, but i have no idea how to set the apps i need.
The software on this tablet is a piece of crap, I'm regretting having locked the bootloader, at that point I should have flashed the twrp and the GSI.
if anyone else has any idea how to fix it i'm open to any suggestion and @mardon85 thank you for your help, i hope with your apk the problem can be solved.
I finally managed to uninstall the application using the ADB command " adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.zui.safecenter " but even in this case I can't install the working version of the apk (probably because the uninstall only affects my user and not the whole tablet, which would require the root).
also trying to install the older and working apk from the ADB terminal gives me error [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK: Package com.zui.safecenter is a persistent app. Persistent apps are not updateable.] even trying to ignore the version of the app
I'd say that at the moment I'm keeping it uninstalled while waiting for some good soul to give me some advice on how to proceed to solve the problem
I update you for those who may have the same problem. With the latest update the security app works smoothly, however the problem of notifications persists. Even disabling battery optimization for selected apps, whitelisting them for auto-start, and enabling all notifications within the app whenever I close the application from the task manager, notifications stop coming. This happens even when I simply closed the application and I continue to use the tablet for other operations (it is therefore not a problem related to the disconnection of the wifi or the standby of the device). I have no idea how to fix it, I tried everything (including some settings in the developer mode). So if anyone has any other suggestions I'm happy to try it
I have found that disabling the night mode in power settings, keeps my apps from getting closed even though I had the apps set for no battery optimization, and whitelist.

Suddenly My Device is creating a issue regarding Sound then i go to iqoo service center they wipe my phone data and reinstall the firmware , after the problem solved a new problem was created regarding NFC . i use a App called All tap & Gpay for payment via NFC in my Iqoo 7 but after reinstall firmware they didn't worked, my NFC is working but they didn't work with my apps ,i attached a file containing the error showing.

This could be happening due to some app integration bug that's there in Android 12.
Or some app bug as well. It is unlikely that if the same version of OS had the functionality working, it's not working post a wipe.
Either app bug or an OS upgrade could be the issue IMO.
