LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.
GPL compliance:

Device tree source code: LineageOS/android_device_xiaomi_lithium
Kernel source code: LineageOS/android_kernel_xiaomi_msm8996
Broken / not yet supported:
Something must be broken, right?
Working:
Camera (and flashlight)
WiFi
NFC
ANT+
Bluetooth
Telephony (Calls and Data)
Audio (Record and Playback)
Video Playback
Sensors
GPS
Compatibility:
Compatible with all Xiaomi Mi MIX variants (64GB / 128GB / 256GB).Builds are based off the Xiaomi's Android 8.0 firmware with proprietary blobs from MIUI 8.8.30 dev package.
Downloads:
Official download links
Notice:
No custom kernels are supported in this thread. Only stock kernel and official builds will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case.
Installation:
Reboot to recovery (TWRP recovery for Mi MIX - Direct link)
Format /system, /data and /cache
Install LineageOS zip package
Install [optional] the LineageOS su addon to get root (there are obviously other root methods, but this is the recommended one as it survives to OTA updates)
Install [optional] a Google Apps package of your choice (Open GApps is advisable, but stock and super variants are not recommended!!!)
Important notes:
Current minimal * required * firmware version is MIUI 8.8.30 Global dev, otherwise installation will fail.
GApps can only be flashed on clean installs.
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.
Credits & collaborations:
This work is due to efforts from everyone involved in Xiaomi 8996 development. The LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

Keep in mind that this is still beta. There are some missing features left to port.

Oh, man. Thank for your work. It's amazing that you guys working for bringing Los to device that you never own.

Must i wipe internal storage? Pixel experience currently installed on my mi mix.

Thank you.

Something is messing with the screen.

Proximity sensor keeps activating itself and shutting off the screen. ROM is unusable because it's impossible to get past the splash screen due to the constant screen offs

How you know that the problem is the proximity sensor? What firmware are you using?
O notice that sometimes the screen doesn't go completely off and keeps some back-light on.

Using firmware 8.8.9 from xiaomi.eu Android 8.0 MIUI weeklies. I believe it's the proximity sensor because that's what usually causes the screen to turn off in a normally functioning phone. I have not noticed what youre describing. For me, after I press the power button to turn on the phone, the screen shuts itself off after 1 or 2 seconds. It's why I said the ROM is unusable, no offense, because I literally cannot get past the first page of the setup.

I don't think that the problem is the proximity sensor, because of was the proximity sensor the screens only goes off when the sensor is cover, and that's not true, the screen goes off always.
And it's important to test and try to figure what's the problem to help solving this issue.

Ok, little Sherlock, i let you solve that case and found problem with all testing stuff. I'm sure you do this with your deduction ability, but don't forget to invite Watson and all Scotland Yard, because that investigation is hard and dangerous.

I have already posted this in other thread though.
Video recording does not work for me (neither 4k nor 1080, nor 720 etc.). Though taking photos works well. Youtube works.
Small CM14 bugs I found:
it's impossible to change battery icon in statusbar. Can't add battery percentage (I'm used to it much so it's kind of important to me).
it's impossible to turn off or change illumination timeout of physical buttons.
impossible to change notification lights at all.
sometimes you can't go back to menu from any submenu using top left arrow. Only physical back button takes you back.
Quick pulldown does not work.
I'm not sure if it's a bug but in CM13 when charging via dc adapter it said "Charging rapidly" and LED was blinking fast. Now it says "Charging" and LED blinks very slow.
looks like ambient display does not work for some notifications. (it worked on the first boot but then somehow stopped)
Battery life:

-you cant change battery icon . confirmed
-impossible to change notification lights at all. confirmed
The battery life is fine, the battery save option its very good.

Hello,
Does someone can provide new cm14 build available on Chinese website?
Thanks
I recently discovered a git project of cm14 for our device, and it seems that, besides it's based on xiaobai's source, he's not the owner of this git page.
If somebody could find who is building this rom and where to download it, it would be great.

Hi Cenkay, thanks for the rom. I guess this is based on the new device tree so it should have the same bugs as RR.
There have been some complains about the proximity sensor. They say that (when the phone is locked) and you receive a phone call, the proximity sensor doesn't work and the screen would stay on during the entire call. So If someone could test because I'm currently testing private RR builds. And i need more time to test and reproduce the issue. Can't really test both the same time. Anyways, Thanks again Cenkay!.

Magisk also is possible?

Now there are reports that it is not working if you make a call yourself. And that it works if a call comes in screen off. Both situations work without problems on my phone. Proximity is fine. So there's nothing to do. The proximity is a little slow, so it sometimes happens that you pulldown statusbar. But screen and digitizer are off during call. Always on my device. @mohammed510 on your phone it is fine too, right?

I'm using the latest private build and no problems here with proximity. I have tried many scenarios but couldn't find the problem. maybe user error? And For me, the proximity is not slow. It's normal, just like any other phone i used before.

The proximity issue turned out to be a user error. Other than this, everything else seems to be working fine here.
Better to remind users to do a clean install before reporting bugs to avoid wasting time. Thanks.

Too many variables to call it a bug.. but I dirty flashed this over the latest LOS from pappschlumpf, then flashed the SchlumpfKernel 1.02 and didn't make it passed the boot-loader. Anyone else?

Yes, the dev himself. The kernel needs a recompile to work again. Use included kernel until i push an update, please.
I can't get fingerprint sensor to work. I may have installed it wrong though. My previous rom was an old EPIC version (android 6.x). I wiped system, caches and data, and installed rom + gapps using twrp. Is there anything else I should do?

Are you able to get it to boot? You're the first one who has reported it being bootable
It booted just fine. It may be cause of other things I flashed though. Also I got fingerprint sensor to work . In case someone are interested this is the order I did things in:
1. Start with old EPIC rom (don't remember which one. Installed in January or February).
2. Wipe system, data and cache.
3. Flash RR rom. - Fingerprint sensor didn't work.
4. Wipe system, data and cache.
5. Flash linage (from this thread). - Fingerprint sensor didn't work.
At this point I figured flashing (even after wiping system) didn't clear everything, and I read something in the RR thread about needing MIUI dev rom before flashing RR for things to work so I did this:
1. Download and flash Chinese (not global) dev rom (latest atm is v7.5.11).
2. Boot phone. - this will remove TWRP or any other custom recovery.
3. Flash TWRP from fastboot.
4. Wipe System, data and cache.
5. Flash RR + gapps + magisk.
6. Profit.
Granted, I'm now running RR, but from what I saw this should likely work with lineage too. Hopefully someone finds this helpful
I dont find Fingerprint in setting
I guess it's using the newest version of Pappschlumpf's device tree and vendor, or do u use a personal one?
And do u use any other toolchain then the standard one?

Just modify what is necessary from a previous job for the K20 pro, already tested by me and everything works. Only the two details mentioned that a specialized developer is needed to fix it.
Is it possible to install stock miui camera app on this rom?
Android Auto works?
So the fingerprint scanner is fully functional when you turn the screen on?
Nice to see another ROM
Can somebody confirm double tap 2 wake working?

I wanted a stable, fast and Pixel-like rom for Mi Pad 4, and thankfully using rcstar6696's snapdragon 660 vendor and kernel, I was able to port Official Pixel Experience for Mi 6X by CryllicBuster273 over to the Mi Pad 4.
Features
- Face Unlock
-Safety net passes without Magisk!
- Removed Messages and Dialer as they are not needed on a tablet
- All the normal features found in a Pixel Experience rom
BUGS
Tested on a Wi-Fi only Mi Pad 4 so I will need someone else to confirm for me if fingerprint and LTE work

This rom is a port of official Pixel Experience for Mi 6X, this means it is more stable, it has all the features found in an official Pixel Experience rom and unlike all the other PE roms that don't get updated I'll be porting every single update. Also this rom contains face unlock and doesn't need magisk to pass safety net.

This is the AOSP version but I might port the Plus version in the future.
I have decided that since Mi Pad 4 already had a build of Pixel Experience I will port and update Pixel Experience Plus.
Edit: PE is more stable than PE Plus so for now I'll port from this but if there is enough demand I'll port PE Plus
Rom is quite good but it has a very high battery drain. It could be solved with Magisk and any kernel manager app and changing cpu's governor, which is set by default to performance.
P.s. sorry for my bad english
why removed messages and dialer? i use my tablet for sms and other stuff..
After installing, I'm stuck on the "G" loading screen and it won't progress. Any ideas?

In new build they will return, I removed them since I have a WiFi tablet but I'll bring them back for users like you.

Are you on the 9.8.29 firmware and have you made sure encryption is disabled?

I will try and fix magnetic flip cover in the next build, also inverting buttons is sadly not a feature on Pixel Experience.
Thanks, i will wait next build.
Good job :good:

Could you also try to fix cpu governor? It causes a really high battery drain.

How's the stability and performance? Does encryption work? I've always liked this ROM and I want to install it to extend the life of the phone.

After posting I decided to try the ROM. I've got no problems at all. I've been using for one hour doing the configuration and installing all my apps.
Everything's going perfect so far.

I've been using the rom for about a day and it's been great so far. Performance is great and I haven't had any app crashes. The only problem I have with it is that you don't get free google photos storage (it just says backup complete). I don't know if that's a bug or it's supposed to work like that but free storage was available in the alpha build...

I have also noticed that in some places (like when installing apps from the play store website on PC) the phone is seen as a Google pixel 6 pro witch could be causing the problem if Google photos also thinks it is a pixel 6 because the pixel 6 series doesn't get free storage

1. Its due to the rom's source patches/works
2. It is there. Please do check well (swipe left/right)
3.Yes. It is a source side error.I check in other app like google lens and stuff and it works . Hopefully it will be fixed in future
Hello and have a nice day
I have two problems with this ROM
1. Using two SIM cards, the antenna of the phone is disturbed and I am constantly losing the antenna
2. The phone is not connected to the computer to transfer the file. I tried with Windows 11
Hey, thank you for this ROM.
Can I dirty flash this as an update to "[ROM][ALPHA][12][Xiaomi Mi A2/jasmine_sprout] Pixel Experience [AOSP]?
edit: Guess not, should have read the "MUST READ"
Have been using this ROM for about 6 hours now. Everything is working like charm (Kudos to everyone associated).
However, sometimes, mobile network gets lost (goes into a loop of going off and coming back...) This gets resolved if we switch off the location. Is it just me facing this issue?
I installed the ROM yesterday and so far it is working great except "4G Calling" which I had to deactivate to be able to make phone calls (incoming audio was heavily garbled while outgoing audio was just noise).
Hey, love your work. can you tell me how the battery performnce is
Hello
I am trying to flash this rom but it is impossible. I have done everything to the letter, the wipes and reboots, and I always remain in bootloop. I have restored 5 times my device to the stock rom and I have done the procedures of different tutorials and nothing.
I also tried adb.
I am using twrp 3.6.0_9-0 because OrangeFox is also in bootloop.
pls help!
Happy 2K22

I also had problems installing it, try to acceed to the fastboot and boot twrp 3.6 img, wipe everything in the 2 sides and then reboot again to the fastboot, acceed to the twrp 3.6 and install the new version. If this doesn't work, do the same process but instead of install the new version first install the alpha and then the new one.
Hope that helps
