The skyrocket dev community is awesome

I just wanted to say how much i appreciate all the help and support from you guys here in the skyrocket community. I recently went on to the optimus g to start deving for that phone and the community over there is horrible compared to how it is here. So i thank you, skyrocket community, for being awesome and showing how a dev community is supposed to be.

team codefire thinks they get to make all the decisions for the optimus g dev community. theres alot of arrogant attitudes over there. the thing i like the best about this skyrocket community is the way everyone worked as a team for the greater good of the community.

There are some really nice people in this community but there are some people that go out of their way to be an ass. Quite a few people here aren't noob friendly. Its kinda sad really.

Yeah, as long as you don't go overboard with breaking the rules you'll do fine here. Also don't take things too hard, for the most part we try to help just some have different ways of helping.

from a considered veteran in this section I can tell u that as long as u put in the effort to understand, we'll help. If u don't read the stickies or search, and are lazy and expect a spoon fed response, forget about it.
its all in the way u phrase the question. If your specific and show u read and at least tried I guarantee someone will help. Don't make it general, make it specific and ALWAYZ search.

I agree, this community is awesome. I don't have enough post here to post in the development area, but have flashed just about everyone's ROM at least twice. Any problems I have can be easily solved with a quick search of the Skyrocket sub-forum.
I'm on my 6th Android device, and this is the most supportive community I've seen.

The Aria is still alive though. The forums are ALMOST dead, but my Aria is still running a newer version of Android than my friends' GSIIIs.

Dizzle1 from Androidforums...NOPE

I have recently contacted a rom developer from androidforums.com named Dizzle1. He has agreed to try and port his Cyanoid project over to the Sidekick 4G. What is Cyanoid?
A: Cyanoid is a Custom rom currently Available For many different devices that targets optimization and beauty.
What is the goal of Cyanoid:
A: To make low-end devices usable and high end devices more pleasant.
What is in Cyanoid
A: Cyanoid started out as a simple rom for the ZTE Warp then extended to the Toshiba Thrive. Cyanoid packs init.d scripts, hardware acceleration,full GPU Rendering, Custom Kernels, Ramdisks exclusively themed recovery images and a lot more.
Hopefully, he can lend a hand at compiling a kernel and taking the SK4G to a higher level.

I'll be happy to try it out once he has something ready.

I like to mod my phone play around a little bit and all that. I might be a junior member to actually creating an account, but am no newbie. I have a life outside of it all though. I must say you guys around here are mostly rude and seem that this is your only outlet for power and control. It is the only reason I can come up with as to why a lot of you are total d*cks to people.
Now to be nice and answer the ops question. Yes ioroot 25 is here and although I haven't tried it because I'm waiting for the update with knock code that is supposed to come in April here is the link.. Be sure to thank the developer.

You also have to understand that most of us have been here a longtime. We have seen the same common mistakes time and time again. It is necessary to read the rules of the forum during the sign up period. Which tell you that this is a big no no. Also it also gives you a heads up when you begin to create a thread in this section. To us its kinda a no brainer.

Look I get it, the rules are very similar where I normally visit. People over there complain about the same search button, but is it really necessary for someone to be attacked like that of a pack of angry wolves. People don't mean any harm when they ask, and it's better to use your time being nice than rude in my opinion. It took me 20 secs to type a helpful response with a link in it is all I'm trying to get at.

Rules are rules, questions don't go in Dev.

The more the better to get the point across, and no one is being rude, just pointing out the facts. However you sir seem to be a little overly sensitive. So please don't try and be a hero here, you will only loose a fight that has no merit.

Noone is trying to be a hero. No one is trying to win a battle. What's wrong with being cool to people? Here is one thing I noticed, there are plenty of posts complaining about where MM is and this is the only post showing that there is some progress and some people instead of being happy that there is progress, they complain here. So instead of complaining like a few people on here, I am going to actually thank the OP since I didn't know there was any progress on MM. There are a lot of people (me included) who just get their news from XDA. So I am glad to see that there is progress. I think the mod should clean this thread, as this thread is showing progress, not people complaining when the update comes because their $700-$800 phone is paperweight without the update.

Lol they've got their work cut out for them with all the complaints around here.

Also very excited about the progress, I used to always buy international variants but I've since found tmobile to be a cheaper variant to buy outright. I'm so excited, I know personally it'll take a while for me to use it. I dred going back to stock at any cost. I'll likely have the first flash able rom. But again one step closer for us is amazing news. Thanks OP!

Ahh I got you. What the hell is there to complain about. I am right there with you though. If updates are such a huge deal that adults have to throw hissy fits about them then you shouldve sucked it up and went with a Nexus.
Just because Google released a newer version doesnt mean somehow your phone is magically useless.
