How large is it? Does it upgrade to Pie 9.0 or still Oreo 8.1?
I think there is a screen shot function... maybe. Actually, I'm not sure about the stock ROM.

It's still Oreo 8.1; it's just a security patch. I forgot to check the size, sorry
I took the screenshot already, but I had problem posting it.
Download size is 86.3 MB.

Motorola at least has consistent security updates, exactly 1 month behind on the dot. Android Pie can come from this month on the 22 to Dec 21, so it will probably arrive with either the September, October, or November security updates. I'm hoping the September patch (so beginning of October).

It depends on the version you have. Mine, XT1900-7 (reteu) is still on Android 8.0 with the June security patch. The European version is always delayed.

Ok. The US/CA version on A1, XT1900-1, is consistent. I wasn't sure about the international versions.
XT1900-6, the brazilian variant, is receiving the August security patch, but remains on Oreo 8.0.
100% stock XT1900-1 on Verizon and this is the result of the August OTA patch
WTF?

My S7 Edge just downloaded and is installing an update, just an FYI. Probably the one everyone else already got on other carriers.
I got one on AT&T just now
Just started on my phone - verizon..

Looks like all it was was security fixes. I read someone saying it fixed their SD card mounting messages.
Looks meh.
Got mine. I swear my Android version said 6.0 when I got the phone, says 6.0.1 now. Am I crazy? Or did it just update to that

It's the March security patch.
Edit: Apparently not. Even though Verizons page says "The current software update gives you the most up to date Android™ security patch on your device." This update is still on the February patch.

The Kernel has last Thursday's date, could be that...now I know to take screenshots of my settings before taking an update .
If anyone on Verizon hasn't yet taken the update please post up some screenshots of your "about" information.
Verizon updates us from Android build PB1 to PB4 on the same day that AT&T and Tmo update their users from PB6 to PB8.
Verizon's current update build is two revisions behind the build the other carriers shipped with!

Hello everyone. I contacted Samsung via Samsung Members app and asked them will s7 edge receive 7.1.1 Nougat and today I got this message.
P.S. My language is Croatian so I added English translation on photo.

The thing with Samsung devices is, once they updated a device to a major revision, they won't care for smaller, incremental updates. I wouldn't hold my breath for 7.1.x. I've never seen a Samsung device receive an incremental Android update. Only security patches.
7.1.2 is the latest

Actually... the S5, S6, and correct me if I'm wrong the Note 4 all got the update from 5.0.2/5.0 to 5.1.1. The S6 launched with 5.0.2 but the other devices mentioned also received this incremental update. But yes, I can imagine Samsung releasing 7.1.1 really late or even skipping it for our device, Android O is rumoured to be released on the 21st.
But O will with s9, so samsung had more than half year, so maybe we can get 7.1.1 on September / October

I think (hope) that we will get the O update in February/March like s6 with Nougat this year. But chances for 7.x.x update are very thin.

Never listen to Samsung support. They will tell you pretty much anything, even things that are hilariously wrong.
Honestly I don't want the 7.1.2 update. I read the changelog and it's basically just adding 2 year old Samsung features to be Native Android. Skip to O already.

I'm looking forward to Oreo but hope they take this opportunity to iron out the remaining issues which are still present in the Nougat software.

I confirm, november update just released (TA-1004, 57.7MB)
November patch for TA-1012 is avaliable
So guess that who is on beta Oreo has to wait for official Oreo release. No rollback available either anymore.

We see a lot of threads for the C432 model regarding firmware updates, so what about the C782 model
According to Three UK they have approved a release of the latest version (they haven't stated which it is) and Firmware Finder 130 is now showing, but currently not authorised for my device.
On FF it says the following
Improves secruity with google security june releases
moves hicare from tools to home screen
optimises ui text
In other words not a lot of improvements, unless they haven't added the full changelog
But it will probably be august before we even get this update (if we do)
The firmware has been approved C781, but with firmware finder, you can not update what you can do?
Hi.
OTA "CLT-L29 8.1.0.130 (C782)" on Three UK is available to download. Just checked.
Is it safe to flash (if yes how and which one) or we should wait for Three. I remember when 110 turned up on FF for 782 I got Ota from 3 after 2 weeks..... So, probably they will send 130 out in a week or so.

I flashed it 3 days ago - can't notice any discernible changes or improvements.
The camera still looks and functions the same, the shots from the front facing camera are the same, battery life is the same. At least the security patches are up to date though.
131 is available..... How the hell can I flash it? It takes ages bloody Three to upgrade....... I can't root the phone either due to crappy Barclays app which doesn't work on the rooted device.... Anyone any ideas? View attachment Screenshot_20180711-061008.jpeg
