GCam with HDR+ working

Hi everyone, as our mi pad has the OV13855 sensor like some Mido (RN4) versions I simply installed the suggested apk from mido thread and I managed to have hdr+ working using Pixel 2 XL settings in the apk. You are free to try other combination anyway.

I have it working on 25/12 Mokee, don't know if it works in Miui or other Pie roms.

I'm on Xiaomi.eu's MIUI10 8.12.13 Rom, and app crashes on launch. My suspicions is because MIUI10 does not support/enable Camera2 api. I should be rooted, so I'm gonna try tinkering with the build.prop to get it enabled and report back.

Havoc Os 2.0 build 28-12-2018 crashes

I flashed official build of Havoc Os 2.0 31-12-2018, enable camera2 api and camera work normal.

Confirming this also works on xiaomi.EU 9.1.3 weekly.
Enabling camera2api via build. Prop does break the stock miui cam though, it'll crash when launched.
Not that that's a big loss...

on latest xiaomi.eu I can't get it to work. With magisk 19.2, I can't directly edit the /vendor build.prop (although I give root permission), so I tried systemless with MagiskHide props config module. I supposedly add persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 but nothing happens... gcam doesn't work and stock cam continues to work ok. does anyone know what am I doing wrong?

1. You can edit system build.prop or vendor build.prop, not both.
1a. Copy build.prop to any folder, edit, save.
2. Reboot to twrp, mount system or vendor.
2a. Twrp, advanced, file manager. Rename original build.prop to build.prop.bak, copy edited into system or vendor.
3. Reboot.

Thanks! I tried with vendor and it worked! if anyone else tries dont forget to chmod 644 otherwise stuck on boot

its working on my Mi Pad 4 Plus Lte with SuperiorOS. no build.prop editing is required. Thank you.

There is a much simpler method without involving editing any build.prop. Requires magisk. Connect the pad to PC with usb debugging enabled. Type:
adb shell
su
setprop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1
setprop persist.camera.eis.enabled 1
by order on PC. Check your tab and accept anything pop up. Reboot and it's good to go.

Works great on the latest Havoc Rom, rooted with Magisk. It also has video stabilization at 1080p! this is awesome! thank you!

I'm in pixel experience rom, and didn't work, I don't know what to do. I am not an expert.

Works fine here, Pixel Experience Plus with Mi Pad 4 no build.prop editing required.

@Rvbanna420, magisk safetynet is broken... also using the module and hiding magisk with package name, still not opening banking apps... detecting root access... any fix???
ROM is perfect without this...

Yes that's the reason... If you uninstall root, it'll do same... Not working..

Does it help in screen recording for Netflix. I have tried with Smali Patcher to disable secure flag and while recording i get audio and subtitles but still the screen is black.

I also had the same issue . Are you having Edxposed or xposed .
If installed say, you can record or cast in netflix app by installing disable flag secure module in xposed

Afaik, virtual xposed won't work.

Unable to use YONO even after magisk hiding ??

The opens and then closes automatically. I manually granted all the required permissions, magisk hide it. Still it isn't working. Currently Im running the latest Havos OS android 9 pie version.

Use YONO version 1.23.11, its working fine after hide magisk. After that latest version is not working with magisk hide.

Apparently, you forgot to hide your magisk with magiskhide in the option. That results in your basic integrity failed.
And for the ctsprofile part, since your evalType showed basic, you may give "Magiskhide props config" a try.
Or, you may just try eu dev 20.7.3, Several reported it passes safetynet check.

Unfortunately doesn't work.
I am on rooted EEA btw.
Tried several fp's but no luck.
The hardware attestation is messing with us.

Give eu a try, they did some effort on the hw attestation or you may try alter some props to fake your phone to another model to get evalType basic.
Simply changing fp is not gonna help on this hw attestation thing.

I used google. Not Poco X2 or Poco f2 Pro. Dont use also magisk canary. Use stable one

Used Google XL3 and 4 and both did not work.
Also I tried to find in a logcat (after performing the safetynet check) if it states that attestation is hardware backed but couldn't find it in the logcat.
Edit: got Safetynet check to work.
In Playstore it still says "not certified" but safetynet check is now both ok.
Force closed manually Playstore app and it shows now "certified".

Try force closing, clearing data and cache for the playstore app then restart the app and check again.

I saw your modules provided about hardware. But I'm not using that one.
Just try Busy Box only and Magisk Hide Props Config Modules and try also to Hide Your magisk manager and Hide your Banking apps as well.
PS: Ignore this reply if you're successfully and no issue with your safetynet check now. Thank you!

As posted I used the zip to change the model name and it works perfect and it shows certified.
