Is there anyone else whose whatsapp front camera is not working after recent app update? Mine was working before not working now.. Any fix anyone can suggest?
Mine woks perfect frontal camera. Whatsapp versión 2.18.248 in china model phone. Firmware 1.18.4 [emoji1360]

Go to settings-->More settings-->Applications-->All-->Whatsapp-->Permissions and see if camera permission is checked. If not, just do it !

I have global version and front camera not working.
I also have the global version with the latest update and all possibles permissions, but the front camera does not open on Whatsapp. If someone has a solution it's nice
Global version, latest whatsapp and firmware. Front camera is coming up nice and smooth. I gave all permissions when asked for.
Maybe re-install whatsapp?

It's still not working for me
Front camera popup not working for me till this date for whatsapp & facebook both. While it's working fine for instagram & duo.
All app permission given and updated to latest version for app & phone it self.
Need a solution. Tried clearing data & cache for both the apps as well reinstalled both but no help.

You need to go into settings---more settings---applications---turn on the front camera and check it out.

I was just launching some activities from the Nova Launcher through which I accidentally opened the Google Assistant! With Lollipop! On a tablet!
Without much wait, Let's start
Pre-Requistites-
Latest Google App(Mine was 7.3.18.21)
An Android Lollipop or Lollipop+ Device
Nova Launcher
A Working Brain
Let's Go!
Open Nova Launcher
Long-Press on Home Screen
Select Widgets
Click on Activities
Scroll Down till you find Google App and Click on it
Scroll down and select com.google.android.apps.gsa.staticplugins.opa.hq.OpaHqActivity
A Google Assistant icon will appear on your screen, click on it
Click on Your Stuff
Click on add reminder and then close it
Open Google App, open menu, and then Settings
There you should see Google Assistant
Your turn, teach the Assistant your voice and start playing with it
Do not even try to post a "Thanks". Press :good: button if you want to say thanks, it really helps a lot!

UPDATEGoogle App's June 28th update(7.6.9 Beta) just removed the Your Stuff screen. Users who already enabled Assistant by this method have this screen. Other users with latest Google App can't enable Google Assistant by using this method. I recommend downgrading to Google App v7.3, enabling Assistant from the above method and then upgrading to latest one.
UPDATE 2Google App 7.10 update doesn't let people use Google Assistant if they don't meet the requirements, >1.5 Gb of memory and 720p or higher screen resolution.
There's a workaround, to use Google App v7.8 till there's another workaround :silly:. I need someone to test this out as I have 2GB RAM.
UPDATE 3Google comes to the rescue and Google Assistant is now available on devices with Android 5.0 and above!Just make sure you meet all the requirements and you're good to go.
UPDATE 4Got Assistant working, with 7.1.2, and 1 GB RAM! Google website still states 1.5 GB RAM as a requirement. So just test, and report it here.

2.Open the Google app, and set up Voice Recognition
3.Go to home, say Ok Google and save a reminder, say ,Test
4.Then follow the method at the 1st post

Try clearing Google Play Services data.
And follow the steps given at post 10.

When I was testing this out, I came across the blank screen issue once after it had already worked. I don't remember what I did to fix it, but after a reboot and clearing the app data...eventually it just started showing up again.

As a user mentioned in the comments on my article, try changing your language to U.S. (English) and see if that works.

Dear All,
A lot of people noticed that for some reason our belove MI A1 doesn't have Google Dialer and Google Contacts pre installed in it and that AOSP versions are the one being used.. So, upon searching, I found out a google dialer here that we can install as a normal apk and doesn't require root.

It works. But there is delay when you press the loud speaker and it takes some time perform the function and same with that end button.
Hey I'm having issues with YouTube vanced. It logged me off the app for some reason and now it won't let me log back on. I have micro g download. I click on the account sign in part but it does nothing when it should send me to the sign in feature. Has anyone else had this problem?

Did you give the apps (both YT Vanced and Micro g) the right permissions? I had to do this as it's not turned on by default in the NEX.

But when I go to sign in it says can't sign no Internet connection ..

I believe its Chinese official rom..

I can't really remember but I know I also changed the Vanced version I was using. It was a mix and match kind of thing but it worked.
Hello. I have problem with youtube vanced. I have put youtube vanced via magisk manager. When i am doing other tasks like fb, Instagram ect. the music sometimes stops after the track changes to other track. Any ideas?

Just to let you know that YouTube vanced do not connect with my chromecast ultra. Just a few day before was using without issues. Do you have ideas what's going on? Cast button on the app show is working appropriately but not. When I touching the cast button show a message connecting to (chromecast) but just makes quick flash turning like white color but nothing happens.

I was having a difficult time reinstalling youtube vanced and microg to get login to work.
Ultimately would always hang up on the accept button.
The fix was to disable google chrome and then log in.
Then re-enable chrome.
Hope this helps anyone.

Thanks for hint. In my case, I had Google Chrome disabled and could not able to log in to Vanced. After I re-enabled Chrome, everything went smoothly. After successful login I disabled Chrome again because I am using different browser. Tested under Android 9 on S10.
WhatsApp camera is using the Ultrawide lens, everything is barrelled (curved). Instage uses the main camera and other apps do as well. No way to tell WhatsApp which camera to use, unless anyone knows how too fix this?
It's not a Bug. The Facebook Company just has the worst Developers so far. WhatsApp mimics that pretty good... All they had to do would be Reading Out the Camera ID's correctly. Other Apps don't have that Problems. Check Open Camera for example which can Switch an Show all Camera Moses/Sensors... You could leave a 1 Star Review on the Play Store Like i did plus contacting the Support. That could Help...
I fixed the WhatsApp Camera issues with MARS_SOM BETA4. Flash also works fine now with the Camera (Timing works now).
Note 20 utra 5g When I open the Camera app, the phone immediately restarts I tried the camera test and it worked without a problem (Samsung members test) And I tried other photography apps and the camera worked fine, the problem only appears when I open the official Samsung camera app

I do factory reset and hard reset and the camera still not working
Do a LOGCAT to get the reason why Camera app isn't working.
That looks like hardware problem and I don't think you can do anything about it to be honest.
Did you try with some camera application from Play Store?
