Hello,
I am running android 7 and i want to install an android 6 rom, specifically, this 1, on my samsung s6.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...xtrestolite-deodexed-mod-edition-1-0-t3094423
I tried flashing the boot loader and odin wont flash.
My odin version is 3.10.6, TWRP 3.0.2 and i tried everything. From running as admin, swiching computers and USB cables; Nothing. The reason Why I used older versions of odin and TWRP was because i did some digging and saw on XDA that odin 3.10.6 is best for the s6, and the ROM post mentioned that TWRP 3.0.2 is compatible with the boot loader.
I did everything i could at this point and I am at a lost. The bootloader just won't flash.
Is this a case where if you got android 7 there is no way you could flash an android 6 boot loader?
Android 7 bootloader and modem are compatible with Android 6 ROMs.
Just flash TWRP and flash the ROM.

Hi im trying to update my samsung G920F to a marshmallow but any attempt to leaves it in a bootloop. Ive sucessfully installed twrp however when installing a custom rom the device is stuck at the Samsung loading screen. Ive tried usuing diffrent versions of odin, twrp and also tried to install stock firmwares for anroid 5 and 6 via odin but all fail. Ive restored the phone back to android 5.1.1 using smart switch and then attemped to root it with CF-root so then i can try install the recovery using the app but after flashing cf root with odin the phone is stuck in a boot loop again with 'Kernel is not Seandroid Enforcing ' on the top left of the screen.
Do i need to do anything before i flash the rom or twrp or root?
and does anyone know how to update the G920F to android 6?
thanks
Which error do you get when you try to flash a stock rom over Odin?
I tried to follow a android 6.1 flash guide while my phone was using 7.0 and my phone was soft bricked as soon as I used the engineered boot. Unfortunately I didn't just know to reflash the stock boot loader until I went and tried to fully reinstall android. Needless to say, the installation failed (Odin). I did eventually find the right stock firmware for my phone and actually got my stock bootloader back but it has no OS to boot up. Now anytime I try to flash stock firmware it gets stuck at NAND write start.
unlocked bootloader, twrp and had custom run (CM13). Gave tablet to friend.
get it back and now it is stuck on start up screen of nvidia after he updated it?
Can get into twrp (2.8.7.1) try to update through computer and twrp but only 2.8.7.1 works (rest of them go start up screen nvidia)
Only can get successful custom Rom flash with CM 13 but when I boot up it get's stuck on start up screen.
Tried other custom ROM but wasn't succesful to flash them
advice?
thanks in advance
1st flash stock - 6.0.1 or 7.0. @naiaddd
Flash latest stock ROM (fastboot method), some twrp versions won't work until you update your firmware to the latest one (or at least to the update 5.0). After that your twrp will work again as it should.
Good Evening,
I own a Samsung Grand Neo Plus (GT-I9060i) and I was running a dotOS v1.2, rooted and bootloader unlocked. I recently downloaded an app called Rashr from Play Store to flash a TWRP recovery because i couldn't flash the stock rom in my CWM recovery, after flashing the TWRP img file the phone rebooted and nothing more happened, I tried to go into recovery mode but nothing happen, even doesn't boot into the System, and when i try to flash the stocke frimware and the TWRP recovery with odin the windows says that the USB not recenized even i am allready have all drivers installed and updated and in bootloader mode .. i have another I9060i it works with no problems with Odin and Windows
Now I don't have recovery to flash a Rom and the Windows USB Problem and no System
I just want to fix the USB Problem or just a idea to install any recovery to flash any Rom to get the phone to life again
If anyone can help me i will be very happy,
Thank You

Samsung has download mode, not bootloader mode(kinda the same but not exactly because download mode is not fastboot compatible but devices with bootloader mode are fastboot compatible).
As for the issues you're having, try this thread for troubleshooting a failed Odin flash.

I unlocked the bootloader. Then installed twrp and custom rom. Then rom boot us successfully.
Then i restarted the phone and it stuck in bootloop.
I was on android 10 firmware on custom rom.
Tell me if i can use mi flash tool and flash fastboot rom with Android 9?
