Google Fit - Huawei Watch 2

Has anyone noticed if their Huawei Health has stopped linking with GF and supplying data even though it's connected
Not sure if due to recent changes in GF or HH.

i've never been able to view heart rate data on GF.

I have previously but with the recent updates to Huawei Health and Google Fit no data is linked anymore - to get data into GF I now have to use Fit for activity tracking.

I have the same problem. Just a couple of weeks ago, Huawei Health was able to share my steps data with Google Fit. Then Google Fit updated and it's no longer getting that data. From what I can see on Google Play, HH hasn't been updated since Aug 4, 2018. So, looks like Google changed something that Huawei will have to account for.
Until then, I'm going to try reverting Google fit using APK Mirror.

Huawei won't do anything - their stance is that we contact google ourselves
I can inform you that you can use both applications when connecting the watch, although Huawei Health is recommended as it offers more features.
As for the Google Fit application, since it extracts information from our application (and not vice-versa), you will need to find out from Google if they fully support the Huawei Health or the Huawei Watch in order for their app to work properly.

i just noticed that after the recent Google Fit update, I had to open the app on my watch. in doing so, i went through a series of prompts, and eventually enabled the heart rate monitor. now, Google Fit on my phone shows my heart rate data (but only since enabling it on the phone). i know that this does not appear to sync with HH, but it does give the data you could be seeking.
hope this helps.

I get the heart rate through Google Fit as well, but only through the GF side previously you also got it from Huawei Health, my issue is that the other activity data in Huawei Health is no longer synced to GF and instead to get activities showing properly you have to use the GF activity and not HH one

I presume you are referring to the apps on your phone, not just the data in the watch?
so maybe you mean that you use the HH app in the watch to track your activity, and GF is not showing that?
from my experience, GF is tracking my activity regardless of what app I use to track (I use Map My Run). so I don't think it is a sync issue with HH to GF, but more of GF syncing from your watch to your phone. in my opinion, the two apps are redundant, so I'll probably wind up deleting Huawei's Health and Wear apps from my phone.

Both, HH has to store its data in your phone app before it gets synced to GF - this no longer happens after the update. GF will track my activity but not as it should (ie if I started an activity via HH this would end up being logged in GF stating it came from HH, but this no longer happens, you just get basic tracking. If I start the activity using GF then this gets transferred to GF properly so is in my app on phone and on webpage.
Previously I only needed to do everything through HH and this would sync across to GF, but this is no longer the case.
I used to use MapMyWalk but that doesn't use the GPS on watch and they had that major data breach, so wary about using Under Armour products now

I noticed today my data wasn't synched properly for some time, looks like since GF introduced this new system.
Fixed it by going into HH and disconnected from GF then reconnected.

I'm sorry for the late reply. I don't think it fixed the problem.
I uninstalled Huawei Health over a year ago and haven't used it, or the watch, since. I can't remember what things I tried, but, I'm guessing nothing worked and I stopped using it.

How did you manage to pair Huawei Wear app with your watch? Did you have to unpair it from Android Wear first? No matter what I do, I could not successfully pair my HW2 sport with the huawei wear app, whether or not I have it paired with Android Wear...

Do the data to Google Fit synchronize to you on a regular basis or only at certain times?
I haven't watched it that closely, but it syncs on a regular basis... Atleast once a day...

It does however I have issues that it seems that sometimes it's not Google Fit doing the tracking and it's pulling the data from Huawei Health, which in turn causes issues with trying to get it to sync with Nokia Health as that only includes data that Google Fit tracked itself, not what it also imported.
And why is:
- My Google Fit app on watch is showing 826 steps
- My Huawei Fit app on watch is showing 792 steps
- My Google Fit app on phone is showing 1112 steps
- My Huawei Fit app on phone is showing 745 steps
This is so confusing
Edit: I even have a different result between huawei wear app and huawei health app on my phone. OMG

I'm seeing similar;
Watch Daily Tracking: 5265
Phone Google Fit: 5295
Watch Google Fit: 5353
Phone Huawei Health: 5362
It sure would be nice if Huawei had documentation detailing their software. I'm inclined to stick with the Huawei fitness apps if for no other reason than they capture more data; fingers crossed it's at least somewhat accurate.
Can you please join this thread and send a bug report for this issue? Thanks guys! https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/77606997
Whats the trick to getting sleep data into Fit from the Health app? Everything syncs but sleep data for me.
You know its kind of depends on the amount of time you had you watch on your wrist or your phone in your pocket, also the apps measure this seperately and we know none of them are very acurate to show the exact number of steps so having a difference of say 100 steps would be ok
I have also noticed that google fit sometimes gets stuck on last day's results! Thats the worst part actually...its a real shame that huawei only updates the health app on phone and not on the watch!
the latest updates to GF does not accept data from Huawei Health or a lot of other apps, on contacting Huawei their answer was that end-users should speak to Google about it.
At the moment the only thing the HH is good for is the sleep recording as the figures for the other activities never match up, the data can't be easily moved to another device

Huawei Health doesn't sync workouts after update

After my Huawei Health app on the phone was updated, new workouts made in the huawei training app on the watch doesn't sync with the app in the phone. Old workouts are gone. I have also tried to sign in and out. It doesn't really matter so much because I use other apps for training because of the lack of exporting training data. I even have a Huawei phone.
Though my steps still syncs with google fit.

Yes, I also have Huawei Wear app.

Wear OS Watch?

Hey guys,
I'm looking at potentially buying one of these and I can live with side loading most Google apps i need but, i've seen some info on the web that suggests due to the lack of GMS that Android Wear will not work. Can I use my Wear OS watch fully with this or, not at all?
Thanks!
Hi,
I've owned the Mate 30 Pro for all but 12 hours last week and managed to move all my apps via "Phone Clone" but remember that one of the reasons I returned it was the fact that even though I managed to have Wear OS app on the Mate 30 Pro, it wouldn't launch due to lack of Google support.
Hi,
Even if you still manage to install GMS on the phone, you will not be able to sync the Google account from phone to watch. Due to this you will have only calls, notifications and health tracking working.

Not true for the people who have GMS fully working except google pay and netflex. My fossil gen 4 is working fine, installed a bunch of paid watch faces bought on google play store on the Mate 30 pro and transferred on the watch. I had GMS installed in January this year and have no pop-up warnings.
I also don't have any issue with GMS on phone. I don't use GPay and i use the older apk for Netflix. Only issue i have is to copy the account from phone to watch. BUT... i think this applies only to Huawei Watch 2 users. I don't know for other types of watches.
I have not found a way yet of adding my Google account from my mate 30 Pro to my Android Wear watch too. Notifications work ok from other apps on the watch, so not a complete loss but 'Google' wear apps can not be installed as Wear play store and it's account does not exist on the watch.
I have the Moto 360 and works fine with my mate 30 pro
My Huawei Smartwatch 2 (2019) is working fine with WearOS

Mate 30 Pro 5G (LIO-N29) EMUI 10.1.0.239: GSM Play Protect issue resurface after cloning

Hey peeps. 3 weeks and countless hours - that was how long it took for me to get GSM into my new machine and getting it to behave as it should. Turned out the first most basic method, dated July 2020, worked. Read in many forums that this machine, regardless of EMUI version, could not resolve the Play Protect issue, but for some miraculously reason, mine worked. So just to be safe, I used the machine for about a week for everything except activities which needed SIM, i.e. calls and line-dependent texts. Banking, work emails and platforms (including all firewall and security protocols), games and apps including those which require my Gmail account, wired/wireless connection both incoming and outgoing - all was working as it should throughout the week.
Then when it came to officially switching over the last remaining part, i.e. cloning over data (mostly texts, phone book, call records and stored media) from the old over to the new, using Huawei's Phone Clone app. So I was careful not to select any apps to clone (the first attempt I blindly clone the whole machine content without customizing which caused GSM to start acting up with the notification & Play Protect issues the minute the process completed, then it was back to square 1 restarting the entire process), so I 2nd attempt I only selected texts, directory, call history and media to be cloned over. Did not even pick anything which is remotely associated with any app, e.g. Whatsapp media where left behind worried that the issues would resurface.
Unfortunately, to my despair, 2nd attempt concluded the same with the 1st, i.e. GSM is no longer Play Protect - aside from notifications, which I can easily ignore, more importantly is my banking, work and Gmail-linked games/apps are as good as dead. So at this point I am at wit's end on how to get my records and stuff migrated over. Of course I could resort to traditional approach of uploading into Cloud and/or OTG/Hisuite sync, but troublesome and wouldn't be seamless or complete.
So wanted to check with the community here, if anyone on any Huawei devices (since GSM is properly in place already, this issue on data migration would not be device-dependent) have any similar issues in the past and managed to uncover alternative methods to get this done. Worse case scenario, will have to resort to the conventional methods, though not ideal but not left with much choice now that my P20 Pro is nearing its shelf life.
Thanking all in advance for reading and/or responding with any viable recommendations. And apologizing in advance for the long-winded post and/or if there was already a similar thread in the past on the same subject which I may have missed.
Cheers,
-K-
Hi there,
did you ever got over this?

Yup, finally got over this after countless attempt. End up phone-cloning just the media only, nothing else. Apps were reinstalled one by one on the new machine, messaging history and phone book via cloud, phone history unfortunately can't be migrated. Avoid signing in to Huawei account, tho it's easier to use that service to copy stuff over. With that, everything in order and GMS remained intact and behaving as it should - its been 4 weeks now since officially moved over to my new Mate 30 Pro 5G with a fully-functioning GMS/Playstore which is Google Pay Protect certified.

Hi you said you had Google Pay Protect Certified? Is that meant you can use your phone for contactless pay like the pay wave in Visa?
If it is the case, how you installed your GMS? I got GMS installed but horrible delay of Gmail notification and don't have the Google pay protect certified therefore couldn't use contactless pay in my phone. Otherwise work okay.

Everything you just said is why it wont work
Recently there was a change in Samsung Health that ruined the bypasses (spoofing a different device, which worked for eons) i and others used to get it working previously
Currently there is no fix
The patched Samsung Health (not to be confused with the Samsung Health Monitor MOD that @Dante63 gifted us) that you may find on the Internet will sync to phone but has never synced to Samsung cloud/backup, all data will remain local
There are attempts being made to find a new workaround (its sad that Samsung seems to think they can dictate how you use your devices. Its part of the reason i loathe them) but its extremely slow going on my attempts (down to me and lack of time) and theres no ETA
I currently use Google Fit, which is at least some sort of plan b....yes i like the Samsung Health app, but when they restrict its usage, well that hurts not only us, but them, as i wont recommend Samsung Watches to anyone i know while this nonsense continues....my next watch will perhaps be a Pixel, and if Google make a decent Pixel phone again, ill be back to that too (last good one was the 2XL)
If the data of the watch cannot be synchronized with the mobile phone, you can try to install Samsung Health of version 6.21.2.007. It has been found that many people have this problem

I was previously using the app patched by adil192 (https://github.com/adil192/SamsungAppsPatcher) which synced with my samsung account but I found out that it doesn't sync with the wearable app. So my solution was to downgrade to samsung health 6.19.5 which fixed my issues. I still hope a fix will come, not really a fan of using a version that is a year old.

blame Samsung, they charge you an arm and a leg for their devices and then dictate how you can use them
in the age of right to repair and companies being hammered for that, its hard to see why you shouldnt have a right to do what you want with your device either....im back to hating those asshats again.....
No problem whatsoever here. Samsung Health version 6.22.2.007.
My guess is that Google Play-services and Google Play Systemupdate of the phone play an important role in comms between apps and services. I actively keep Google Play-services and Google Play Store up to date, making use of available APKs in APK Mirror if necessary.
My current versions on S21U:
Google Play-Services 22.33.14
Google Play store: 32.1.10-21
Google play Systemupdate: 1 July 2022

Samsung doesn't care what version of Google Play Services/Store you run, theyre testing for Knox or root, also youre using a beta of Google Play Services, which i would never do...especially after ive seen the downsides over many years
