Portrait mode for xiaomi redmi note 4

This thread is for trying the new ported app of Arnova8G2 i tried it and it works for me the front camera but the rear camera doesn't work
I have redmi note 4 on rr rom
Anyone tried it and work just comment here with the settings anyone facning proplems just comment here

I've tried this version in many oreo roms and it worked for me.
But in indoors front portrait is blurred.
Didn't find better version than this yet.

The front cam works very nice with the portrait mode and hdr+ but the rear camera doesn't work and video also ?

For me both r working.
Video is little noisy but 1080p works.

i used my back camera with portrait mode working just superb, but my front camera not working.
i used Oreo 8.1 ROM Cypher os (AOSCP).

What is the setings you use dor the zsl ?
And if you can put a photo in the attatcments with the zsl mode

can anyone confirm if this is working with omni sensor

Man will i have to be on LOS to try it?Cant it work on MIUI?

Hey guys, so all of you know that there have been a lot of threads of new camera apps like Gcam, B-S-G gcam mod etc. It us very confusing to know where they are and what are their requirements. So I have created this thread so that all of us can know more about them. All of you who can help by giving more information please post them here.
Post all the modded cameras for our Redmi Note 4 also.
Mention the system requirements (like Camera2api required or Android Oreo and up etc.)
We all want some cool camera apps with great features!!

what a camera man, superb selfie in patriot mode, I am on pixel experience rom

Link for one plus camera stock miui9 plsss

Other than Google camera, which camera(for oreo) supports hdr mode. I'm getting under saturated pictures on every google camera mod. Especially when taking a picture outdoors in bright sunlight. Anyone else facing the same issue?

Hi i finally found a gcam that is working with front cam hdr, so no black images with frontcam. also portrait is working fine!!

hm... i have same phone. do you use latest RR? 06 June?
i flashed latest xiaomi.eu dev rom for redmi note 5 pro,
then flashed system data cache, installed latest rr and here we go, this worked...

i tooked dev rom 8.5.14 for camera blobs and all that to patch generic system image. Then i wiped all except vendor partiotion, flashed latest rr, gapps and magisk 16.4, add camera api2 to buildprop cuz switch works not well, install this cam and you are done works like charm for me

just download xiaomi.eu dev rom for redmi note 5 pro and flash it, wipe system, data, cache. then flash rr or some other rom i dont know how to extract that stuff amd make it flashable. o just know that ots related to this whole firmware, camera blobs etc stuff.

Ok, so the front camera HDR is working all the time on RR? I'm still on MIUI and it works for the first picture after reboot, but then it stops :S

+1 I have the same problem in RR and Mokee, but I didn't flash first xiaomi.eu, I didn't just find out about the process... help!

Could you please share the settings?

Since the mentioned MIUI version is the nightly build, it might contain updated camera blobs which can finally be utilized properly with GCam. I'm downloading now to try it out, will report.

You wrote 8.5.14 but you gave link for 8.5.3, so which one did you use in the end? I have used vendor from 8.5.3 but still the front HDR is not working with 10 different GCam apks. I am now downloading 8.6.6 to see whether that helps.

@blitzkid Hi! I think you should emphatize that this issue only happens on Redmi Note 5 China/Global with omnivision front sensor. This to avoid false positive "working" reports from Indian device users. Their front sensor already work with the others gcams. Now i'm going to try the app linked. hoping for the best.
EDIT: Didn't work. MIUI global stable 9.5.13. If somebody make this work, please tag me.

You can flash oneplus camera which is a 90% alternative of GCAM also the night works!!
Just google it !!

Thanks, but you are talking about a gcam 5.1, aren't you? I already have a 100% working version of v5.1. I'm asking for a 6.1 version without green tint and night sight.

I think this guy is so new with gcam. So excited about old stuff.

I've searched on google for the oneplus camera, but no one works on mido. Could you please tell me which version I can install or flash on mido. And I want to know if the night mode works normally on mido?

I already told it is for PIE , for Oreo u need version 5 or below.

Hi, got Pie, camera2api enabled, but App crashes at start, any idea what i can do? Tried different gcam mods, always the same issue...

You can use HomerSp version made for Razer phone. It works on Xiaomi.eu Oreo.
Its Gcam 6.1 with night night and works on mi5s with Xiaomi.eu, search here on XDA or in celso azevedo site. ( I cant post links).

Thanks for the info. I never tried Gcam beside BSG and Arnova before. But, I've already flashed another ROM, the CAF one, revenge OS, it's come up with gcam installed. So, I'll try the homerSP ver. later

Thank you for this config file ! Dunno what it changed tbh but it's twice as fast and doesn't feel laggy anymore !

First app I used after lineage 16, everything works fine
I don't know if needed but I enabled also api 2 by build.prop command

The only thing that doesn't work with your settings is slow motion

Did you try GCam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.5.190418.1850/Arnova8G2? Why do you prefer MGC_6.2.030_B-S-G-based_v.0.1c.apk? It has some bugs on front camera.

Thanks! Nice and fast gcam version. The only thing that doesn't work for me are pics when HDR is deactivated (both front and back camera). Do you have the same problem? Btw running LOS 16.0
