So here's my problem. I just got the phone about a week ago, I have a few photos on the phone that I took, but when I go to an app such as Viber (same for all apps) and select the photo icon to send a photo from my phone, a bunch of random photos that are not mine appear. These photos seem to be random cache images from apps, such as the facebook messenger stickers. I don't know why the app is pulling these images or how to stop it.
I would appreciate any help!
Thank!

So i was taking some photos to associate with one of my contacts, took 3 photos, associated one of them to the contact, and saw that i needed to rotate one of them, so i went to HTC Album to rotate it, like i didn't need two of the photos, i begun to delete it, but when i deleted the first one the screen didn't fade out to the next photo (as it usually happens when i delete a photo), and after being black for a second or two, it said: "Jpeg not avalaible" or something like that. i touched the screen and chose to go back to the album, and puff, the majority of the photos (i couldn't find anything relating the deleted photos) were deleted... My HTC Album gets it's photos from My Documents and from DCIM folder in Storage Card, and i would say that around >100 photos and a lot of videos were erased (yes, videos doesn't appear in HTC Album, but it deleted them too), the strange thing it's that some photos and videos (really few) didn't get deleted... Another really strange thing it's that the photo that i associated with the contact still appears associated to it (in the Touchflow), but i can't find that photo? So the contact has a photo that doesn't exist? How it's that possible?
Or maybe the photos didn't get deleted and went to some "hidden" folder? I searched everywhere - temp folder and stuff, but nothing came up...
Yesterday i installed a fix from HTC site, because of a photo quality issue in the Cruise/Polaris...could it have something with it?
Any help?
TIA
Not quite sure what forum I should post this in but I'm getting really desperate in finding a solution to my problem here. I absolutely can not attach any pictures from the Photos app. Any time I enter Photos from the media picker I just get stuck with a constant loading screen. Here's what I've tired...
-Deleting all pictures from Photos (and emptying the trash)
-Uploading Photos only from web site
-Uploading Photos only from the app
-Clearing Data and Cache from the Photos app
-Factory resetting my phone (Nexus 6, Stock LMY47Z)
-Updating the Photos app before adding my account on the phone
-Refreshing the Photos app after reset via Wifi
-Refreshing the Photos app after reset via Cellular Data
-Only adding new photos just taken from the camera
I only have <100 some photos, there are zero reported sync issues in the Account, and I'm completely stuck and out of ideas. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I just tried do backup my photos on my Samsung S5 for the first time with G Photos app. In my gallery I've got about 1000pics done with camera and about 500-600 more in separate folders like instagram, gopro etc.
I've selected only camera and 2-3 other folders no more than 1500pics, but on the Assistant screen it shows 5000 items left.
After 1 day I see all my photos in Google Drive in my browser, just the videos are still not synced. But in the app shows about 4000 items left??! Where it gets all these photos?

I had around 500 pics and google photos showed 1500 photos. I think it's a bug or something. Maybe it's double counting? I just leave it and let it do it's thing. No worries.
I want to advice this 2 problem, with my mi note 10, already rised into this threads:

Google photo recognize as 0.7megapixel (960x480) photo taken with main camera, and it will backup photos with such this low resolution.
Amazon photos isn't simply able to complete a backup.
Really bad situation here....
I've already triggered mi support, what we can do?
No problem with Google Photos from my Note 10.
Smae identical problem about Google photo
No problem for me, Google Photos backup 27MP and 108MP photos without any issues

Click to collapse
Yeah, no problem here either. All photos backed up in full size.
Some of my photos are backed up but others are flagged as 0.7 Mpixels. It's not related to our phone because I found the issue on Mi9T/9T Pro forums. It seems that moving the photos from one folder and back again to the original fixes the issue.
Same problem
Some photos back up fine, but some show erroneously as 0.7Mpix and don’t back up to Google photos. Those ones also erroneously show no GPS location.
Same problem. To correct it I have to clear all the data of Google Photos app and delete low res duplicates. It is really annoying
There is a workaround it (better than clearing the google photos)
the methods are:
1. Open the built-in Photo App. Create an album(ex. G-Backup Album) inside the built-in photo App. This will create a folder with the same name as the album.
2. Select all you photos and click "Add to" button below. Then select the "G-Backup Album" album and click on "Move" option. After this, all photos will be moved to "G-Backup Album" Album.
3. Open Google Photo App, add "G-Backup Album" folder to the list of backup folders in the Setting. Then you will see that all photos are being uploaded normally and the size are shown correctly.
Makesure u dont open the Google Photo apps.. before you do this methods
Hi Wing_Zero85 in my case something similar happens to my "mi note 10".
Neither the amazon photos app nor google photos automatically upload the photos to the cloud.
I have activated all the permissions, I have tried many things and nothing, they do not automatically upload photos to the cloud.
With google photos it doesn't bother me too much, but with amazon photos it does bother me.
For amazon photos to upload photos to the cloud, I have to manually open the app, because it doesn't automatically.
For the other apps, there are no problems, whatsapp, telegram ... they work well in the background, notifications arrive well .....
But what happens with the amazon photos app is very annoying and frustrating.
Edit: Solved. If anyone's in the same situation, what worked for me is searching for .thumbnail folders (make sure "show hidden files" or similar is enabled in your file browser), and deleting their content. Google photos will then recreate the thumbnails when you next open it.
Hello friends.
Ever since a few days, I've been having the strangest of problems with my pixel 4xl under android 10:
Basically, the thumbnails or previews of my pictures do not match the picture itself.
For example, if I want to send an image to a whatsapp contact, or attach one to an email I'm composing or whatever, the preview or thumbnail that I'm shown is that of a much older and long deleted image. Pressing the miniature instantly shows me the correct picture, but if I press the back button, I'm again presented with something that had nothing to do with that particular photo.
Hope this makes sense.
This happens both in the Google photos app and third party apps such as whatsapp.
The only step I can think of doing to correct it is deleting storage and cache of my Media Storage, but that didn't help.
Can anyone shed some light on the matter?
Best regards!
