Best non-TPU clear case? - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Accessories

I loathe the TPU/rubber/silicon cases. I don't like the feel, and they seem to add too much thickness/width to the larger devices.
I also want a clear back. I'm interested in the LED flip case, but the LED look does turn me off some - so any feedback on those cases is welcome.
For the s7 edge I'm upgrading from, I went with just the hard plastic clear samsung case with the rounded silver corners - is there one similar for the Note 9?

[Q] UAG case vs Samsung vs Verus for Note Edge?

Hi, I currently have a Note Edge and a Samsung Flip Wallet case cover I got for about 20$ in an online retailer in Korea (since I live in Korea).
I heard UAG cases are pretty good, and protective. I currently use the Flip Wallet case since I do not need to reach high to power it on/off, because it turns itself on/off. But I have noticed some scratches on the Edge side (not the display), so I'm thinking of a new case.
I also saw that Verus cases are good, too. I desperately need help to choose my case. Thanks!

Hello,
I'm one of those people who buys many cases for their phone. When I had my Note 3, I had about 7 or 8 different cases that I switched to every now and then. I ran across the UAG case on eBay and ordered. The UAG case instantly became my favorite, it became my daily driver and basically the only case I used after that. I liked the style, protection and how well it stood up. When I saw the UAG case for the Edge I didn't even think twice about ordering. My wife ordered me a Verus after reading reviews on it while she shopped for cases for her Edge. It offers great protection, easy to pocket(very smooth) and is a beautiful case. The Verus is too smooth for me and I see the potential for it to be dropped. If they made the other Verus cases like for the iPhone I would definitely order, but for now nothing beats the Maverick in my eyes. Would like to see the Maverick in other colors beside clear, I'd order them as well Hope this helps out

I`m using the Verus Case since one Months, on my other Phones i`m only using Spiegen Cases, in my opiniun the Verus is really same quality! Love it, smooth and easy to use on our Edge!
I have the black Verus case for my black Note Edge and it looks beautiful. I love the way the left side has a bit of a curve to it where the volume buttons are. I already bounced my phone off some concrete from about a 5 foot drop (it was in my lap as I was getting out of a truck). It bounced off a few corners and landed face down. Between the Verus case and the Skinomi screen protector, you can't even tell that happened. No damage to anything. Granted it was only a 5 foot free-fall, but this was the 3rd or 4th day I'd owned the phone and I swear by the Verus. My friend immediately went and bought one for his Nexus 6 after watching my Edge bounce unharmed across some pavement.
I just got my verus shipped as well. I can only judge by the look but i recon my edge is rather good protected wearing it.
As long as it doesnt fall on the edge, that is (but there will be no decent looking case protecting the edge a 100%)!
My wife just commented "gosh, it´s even bigger now" but she is always complaining about the size of my toy
So my verdictabout the Verus case: decent look - promising protection!
I think the raised portion will prevent the edge from making contact with the ground.. The only thing I'd be worried about is something else's edge coming into contact with my Edge's edge..

Thanks everyone, ordered my UAG case and I'm excited for it! Even though I could've got the Verus for like 15usd because Verus is a Korean company, I want to try a UAG since I've never tried it and I think both designs are good and they offer excellent protection.
i just got my edge. the guy i got it from had the verus black on black. i like the color and composition of it but i personally don't like the curved sides and how the corners kind of bulge out more than the middle. i understand it was designed that way for better grip and slip but i am gunna be looking for one that has a straight left side but kinda the same build
Verus [Heavy Drop Protection] Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Case, the case is really good, nice design, high quality
Black Verus Case Beautiful
I purchased the Incipio Dual Shine Pro case had trouble with the black liner around the Camera coming off peeling and making a mess. Thought once peeling stopped case was nicer without the liner around the camera. I now have purchased the Verus Heavy Drop case in Black. I love the Verus case very high quality. Absolutely no complaints in my opinion a far superior case. I recommend it highly. It is flawless.
I had the incipio and now have the UAG. I easily prefer the UAG case, stylish sturdy and a conversation starter. Haven't put the Incipio back on since using the UAG.
I have had the UAG case for 4 days now and I love it!! It adds the right amount of grip to the phone, great protection and not to much extra weight. Not to mention that it looks ass kicking and I have been getting a lot of people to notice the phone because of the case. I had a UAG for my note 3 and love it for that phone as well. Can't go wrong with it!
I used the UAG for a couple of month and love it. The only drawback is it has a very rugged feel and width to it.
I had a Versus case and finally tried it out a few days ago. Imeditaly it gave my phone a different feel, I would say almost a more stock feel, compared to the rugged feel of the UAG. I like how the Versus has a very smooth back cover, where as the UAG has many indentations. Like someone mentioned earlier, the Verus is very slick on the backside, but I don't see the phone slipping out of your hands because of it. Even if it did, with the amount of protection on the corners, this case is going to give you all the protection you need. Also, the Versus has better access to the heart rate monitor, and allows you to place your finger on the sensor more flush. Finally, I do like how the Versus has a slight curve inwards on the left side, which makes it a little more comfortable when holding the phone with your left hand compared to the UAG.
Overall both cases are going to protect your phone from a 5ft fall, and both add a good amount of width to a already wide phone. You cannot go wrong with either case. I would say if you want a smoother feel go with the Verus, if you want a heavy duty feel go with the UAG.
u can put a screen lock app on the edge so u don't have to reach for the top.

I didn't realize this was going to be so hard. What I would like is an OEM Note Edge s-view wireless wallet. So far I have not been able to find if they even exist. This is my first time in Samsung territory and too many choices sound too much the same. I have searched for this by also adding Note Edge 4 ... then I end up spending hours digging through Note 4 products.
If you know anything about this issue, please let me know, or even just tell me where to look. Thank you for your time

THINNEST OEM like minimalist CASE

Last year for the Note 8 and even the S8 and S9, Samsung released cases that they called, "Clear Covers." They were hard plastic cases that gave a really snug fit, kept the slim profile, and added grip. It isn't meant for drop protection but does provide some (I dropped my Note 8 on marble and the case corner cracked but phone was fine).
Samsung didn't make them this year for the Note 9 but I found a generic one online. Ordered 10+ clear cases to try to find one that was similar to the OEM Clear Cover and was able to find one.
You can see in the video how I have the phone vertically and it is still stuck to my fingers and doesn't slip.

I get a bit apprehensive with clear cases because I worry about them yellowing after a while. As far as trying to get something reliable but very thin, Spigen has always been my choice. These two options are pretty thin. What I really like about Spigen is they give you a healthy amount of lip across the top and bottom face so you can lie down the phone face down without any worry. The other great thing about them is the buttons (for the cases that wrap all the war around the edges) are very CLICKY. I have using a case with mushy buttons.
Anyway, that's my two cents on it.

Question Clear View cover looks like a bad idea.

I can't help myself, but the clear view for the S22 Ultra seems just really bad. I know that flip covers are big and bulky, but I always liked that they cover the entire screen (usually had a kickstand in some way) and I could still use the screen to see who's calling and accept/decline the call. But with the new Clear View for the S22 Ultra, there is a freaking hole in that thing and from what I have seen so far, it can't be used as a kickstand.
Am I the only one who thinks, that it's probably the worst official cover you can get?
I have an S22 ultra that I paid over $1500 for that I still have not used because of months of trying to solve the problem with a case.
I'm still using my Galaxy Note 9 with the beautiful S-View flip case. That case is wonderful, if serves as a kickstand, it allows you to interact with the phone through the translucent cover, it fully protects all portions of the screen.
I've spent over three months buying different cases trying to modify them so that I come up with the equivalent of the beautiful case for the Note 9.
At this point I pretty much given up on having a case that also functions as a kickstand, and I'm now looking to attach a tempered screen protector on the inside of the clear view case flip cover so that it covers the horrible hole.
The idea that you will flip the cover around and shoot through the hole is ridiculous. On the Note 9, you just hold the phone with the flip cover open and take pictures. It works perfectly. The cover provides a nice grip.
Samsung has totally failed when it comes to cases for the new flagship phone.
Raargh.
Sorry but it is really perfect for photography the hole is a great idea
The hole defeats the purpose of the protective flip cover, that area of the phone can get scuffed and scratched.
4 years of photography with my Note 9 s-view case is proof a hole is not needed.
I just ordered the parts for what I believe will finally be the mod that allows me to use S22 Ultra flip cover . Will post up next weekend with photos.

Question Will Z-Flip 3 cases fit the Z-Flip 4?

Like the title says will my old Z-Flip 3 cases fit the Z-Flip 4?
My Samsung Aramid case fits, but has a slight misalignment over the flash module.
My case fits on Flip 4 too, just as good as on Flip 3 5G.

Interesting case. is it as chunky as it looks though?
Im sure it will "fit" like most samsung cases they make slight changes each gen to make them not fit perfect. Have run into this issue going from s20fe to s21fe.

Haha this was the first hinge protective case I found as I was pretty scared to skateboard tricks without a hinge protected case (for example before this I had the default white silicone case by Samsung).
When the black case is open, the hinge protector protrudes as much as the part with the supportive 'leg', say 3 mm.
Material feels rubberised plastic, and the black one is pitch black color. I paid Ali shipping, and they sent the case by DHL, so 1 week to NL.
I never dropped Flip 3 5G or 4 ... the case (both) make the phone sit good in hand. Without a case ... both phones felt very 'slippery'.
It can fit, but it is slightly off and can press on one of the side buttons a little which may cause it to change the screen oddly like some kind of looping ( I read) so they removed the flip3 case from the flip4 and the looping stopped

I've found the bottom right lip of the top part of the case (below power button) doesn't grip the body properly so the case keeps pinging off. Really annoying Samsung haven't made one for the Flip 4. The closest I can find is from Latercase.
While the Flip 3 cases will fit, the charging port and flash do not completely align. Everything what seems to fit flawlessly.
They wouldn't make it 100% compatible at risk of losing precious $$
My official samsung leather flip 3 case while fits the flip 4 has volume rocker issues which render it useless. Not really caring as samsung offered 900 buck for it so I ended paying 150 for the flip 4 but it came with a rubbery case with a loop and I got the awesome bud pro 2, which is really what I wanted anyway, Gonna sell the flip 4 as I have an s22 ultra. I just wanted the buds.

Accessories Review - CaseBorne V Compatible with Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Case/Flip 3 Case - Rugged Protective Case

I received this case for review and I absolutely love it. the design is sleek but rugged so that it feels like it's properly protected as well as being protected. I love that the buttons for the volume are covered by rubber so that you can easily distinguish the fingerprint/power button. The opening mechanism is very smooth and feels great every time. the front of the phone when opened is surrounded by that protective rubber with cutouts exactly where you need them. I like that the logo is placed just so it's there but not in your face. When closed the phone is encased and fully protected with openings only where you need them. The case has a raised area around the outer screen and cameras so that when laid down they don't touch. I love that the outside is kept sleek without unnecessary grooves and ridges because it allows me to attach my grip mount to the back of the phone. I really don't see how you could make a better case. I got it in black which is awesome but wouldn't mind having a color-matched case, that's a minor thing compared to the fact that it is one of the best cases I've used for my Flip 4.
