How to play Fortnite at 60FPS!! (ROOT) - OnePlus 6 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey, my first proper post here. I have figured out a way to set FPS lock to 60, so you can play Fortnite android at 60fps!! (Also some other cool stuff)
You need to be rooted, so check out this tutorial by high on android on how to play with a rooted phone. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/high...ow-to-run-fortnite-on-any-rooted-android/amp/ This worked on my OnePlus 6 so it should hopefully work for you guys too. It probably also works on other phones.
STEP1: Play a match of Fortnite, just to make sure all files have been created and all that
STEP2: Fully close out Fortnite.
STEP3: Download root explorer app from play store and go to directory: data/data/com.epicgames.fortnite/files/UEF4GAME/FortniteGame/saved/config/android.
STEP4: Open the gameUsersettings.ini file as text with built in RB text editor. Here you can change many things. Be careful as I am not sure if this is banproof or not! Don't blame me for banned accounts.
STEP5: Find the line which says FrameRateLimit=60.000000 and make sure it is 60. Then find the line MobileFPSMode=Mode_30Fps and change 30 to 60. They have other things in this file like graphic settings and things, I messed around and came to this. The [ScalabilityGroups] group has graphic settings.
LOW=0
MED=1
HIGH=2
EPIC=3
This means you can bypass the greyed out graphic options if you want. With this you probably aren't gonna be able to reach 60fps, so maybe try not putting your settings too high.
STEP6: SAVE the file with the button and fully close out if the root explorer. Now open Fortnite and enjoy!
PROBLEMS:
MAY GET BANNED FOR THIS
WERID CAMERA GLITCH IN SPAWN ISLAND AND START OF BUS, ITS FINE AFTER THAT.
SHOWFPS OPTION IN FILE ONLY SHOWS FPS IN LOBBY
FPS IN FORTNITE OPTIONS SAYS TEXTBOX
Please share and comment your experiences with this. I think I am the first person to find this btw. This is an updated version of the old 60fps thing but they patched it. This one is working as of version 5.21.

Feel free to ask questions Enjoy!

Hmm I've deleted the magisk folder disabled debugging and added the game to magisk hide and it still kicks me when jumping from the bus. I don't know if it has to do with the rom in on or if it only works with oos.

Make sure your rom passes safety net. Also try reinstalling the game. Make sure to add it to magisk hide BEFORE you open it.

you need to download a safety checker from the playstore in order to check the status because the magisk manager doesn't have a playstore key so it cant check the status.

Safety net checker app from play store is broken as well just use Google pay or try signing into Instagram and if it allows you it means your safety net passed. Also just saying 9.0 beta doesn't pass safety net, with or without root

I did that too, but it kicks me out of the game after jumping bus

Still on waiting list

Hey sir, this mod used to work but now it simply stays locked to 60 fps, I think it is something related to the graphical settings, I'm doing my tests on changing from 0 to 2, 2 actually has the best performance overall, better than 0.

Hi
How you guys play this game?
I cannot play this game it exits the match after jumping from bus in game?
I'm on 9.0.7 rooted with magisk.

Goodbye Pokemon Go- ROOT no play. Update 0.37. (Solved)

Hi.
I just read that you will no longer be able to play Pokemon Go if your phone is has root.
Can someone confirm this? If so.. They have just shot themselves in the foot.
"Ahead of the Pokemon Go Plus launching next week, Niantic (unsurprisingly) is now pushing out a new update to the app that brings support for the accessory, along with a few other goodies. Last week, they announced that a new Buddy system would be added in a future update, a feature you’ll be able to enjoy in this latest release (version 0.37.0). Here’s the full changelog:
Implemented Buddy Pokémon: Trainers will now be able to choose one of their Pokémon to be their buddy. A Trainer can earn Candy for their Buddy Pokémon by walking a certain distance.
Made it easier to select smaller Pokémon on the screen.
Fixed an issue where Eggs would sometimes hatch without displaying the animation.
Improved performance reliability when a device switches networks to no longer cause the application to hang or stop updating.
Pokémon GO Plus support
Minor text fixes.
The exact distance you’ll have to walk Pokemon to gain candies — and the exact amount received — still hasn’t been determined. It sounds like they’ve finally been patching a few annoying bugs and although it wasn’t mentioned in the changelog, we hope the annoying way sounds gets muted whenever you receive a notification has been fixed as well.
In an effort to crack down on the amount of bots, scrapers, and cheating their way through the game, Niantic is also making the controversial move to prevent rooted or jailbroken users from playing the game. It’s unfortunate for those with rooted devices playing the game legit, but since this is how GPS spoofers are cheating — and ruining the game for others — it was a logical move.
It could take awhile before you see the update hit the Play Store on your Android device, so don’t freak out if you don’t see it right away. We’re sure it’s just a matter of time before the APK appears and once it does, we’ll post here for you guys."

Magisk
Everyting you need to know is in that thread. Search it.
Remeber to uninstall xposed if you have it.
This is the right xposed for Magisk.
Xposed v86.5
And the Material Design Xposed Installer
1. Unroot completely and i do mean completely
2. Flash Magisk
3. (Optional flash xposed)
4. Wipe Dalvik/Cache
5. When you reboot don't let the kernel reroot.
6. When booted flash the rest.
7. Use Magisk app to turn off root
8. Play Pokémon 0.37

Well, I wont update until it is in the playstore.. I guess I will find out then
EDIT: I am too curious so I tried to update the app and IT IS WORKING WITH MAGISK ROOT

How and can i use it with my rom and kernel in my sig?
Only a matter of time until they figure a way to block Magisk too. They're just overreacting anyway. Ingress blocks GPS spoofing, why can't this game do it too? I've seen it firsthand, Ingress just says "idk where you are you're using FakeGPS, sorry"
How do I install Magisk anyway?
With Magisk if it works smoothly .. .. because it uses the verification that has Android Pay ..
PoGo is much more popular than Android Pay, but I don't imagine many rooters will give up their root to play a game.
Niantic, and by extension, Google, just upped the ante in the arms race. Things are going to get ugly.
wow i actually liked the game but i guess this gives me more time to look at nature

Question... Can't I just uncheck root in SuperSU's settings and run it that way? (I have not gotten the new update yet so I'm asking beforehand). Magisk appears to have this option. Or do I need to totally uninstall SuperSU by dirty flashing the ROM again, and not SuperSU?

So by completely unroot...Can I accomplish this by going into TWRP, clearing cache/dalvik, flashing again the ROM, GApps, kernel and skipping SuperSU..then installing Magisk? I really don't want to have to do a clean install just for this.
Unless you want to do a clean install skip ROM, Gapps and kernel.
Do a unroot in SuperSU. Then look for root-files in system. Like the OP in Magisk says.
After that install Magisk in TWRP.

5. Flash phh's SuperUser
6. Reboot
7. Install ppsuperuser app

Make Super Mario Run work on Rooted Android Devices

This is a starter thread for getting Nintendo's latest Android app (which has finally come from iOS over three months later), Super Mario Run, to work on Android devices that have been rooted and possibly have no Google Play Store installed. Developers, please contribute your findings!
It worked with root but I got an error when I finished the tutorial. Then I saved my game with a Nintendo account and I cleared game data. I've used magisk hide with this game and I can play again

After you've installed Magisk you just need to go to the Settings in the Magisk Manager APP and enable Magiskhide and then you should See a new tab for Magisk hide in the Manager APP and just select the Apps you want to hide root.

Don't think magisk works with cm12 on Amzn Fire Phone bc bootloader isn't actually unlocked. They should limit SafetyNet to Leaderboards - pretty sure that's what all the fuss is about. Fine, Nintendont take my money!

Miitomo was patched using a special security bypasser made for it, and also with XPosed and RootCloak. Is there a similar method for those who seem to have issues using Magisk?
I myself haven't tried Magisk. I'll see how it works on my Galaxy S7. :fingers-crossed:
Xda, please merge this thread with the other thread that I made. I accidentally made a duplicate.
I do not have Google Play services installed, and it seems to need it.
I'm currently running Magisk with Magisk Hide on and RootCloak as well and it keeps erroring out. Currently the only workaround I've found is deleting the deviceAccount xml file in the app prefs folder. I have a feeling it has something to do with xposed or safetynet that's causing it to fail. I enjoy the game enough that I wouldn't mind buying it, but not if Nintendo is going to lock users out like this.

I'm looking for a good rom that can run Animal Crossing pocket camp.

I don't know the current 7.1.2 rom I have but for whatever reason at all I can not get the damn game to run pass the Name entry part.
Nintendo games are known to check for safety net when starting up. If you don't pass safety net, their games will simply crash.
To solve this, you can have a look here-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/guide-pass-safetynet-custom-roms-t3603609
And yes it works on any custom ROM.

I tried everything like hiding fortnite with magisk hide, and used magisk core mode. Still I get kicked out of the game when I leave the bus.

It might be possible by using the original apk and changing build.prop attributes. Also using magisk hide and deleting the magisk folder to hide root.
You have to pass safetynet, hide magisk manager, use only magisk core and delete MagiskManager folder
Fortnite is a trash development, all apps must work without need to hide root rights.
why cannot this be played without hiding root ?

Fortnite works on first canary magisk build, but not on latest. Also remember to disable USB debugging
EDIT: link this one with random package name
What I did;
Played a round unrooted
Rooted my phone with Magisk (17.1)
Hide Fortnite and Fortnite installer in MagiskHide
Repackaged Magisk Manager
Fired up Fortnite
BTW, ctsProfile is not needed, only basicIntegrity.
With Magisk 17.2, playing a round unrooted is no longer required. Just add Fortnite and Fortnite Installer to MagiskHide before launching the respective apps. Also repackage Magisk Manager.
Such as nob never heard of Fortnite and from what I see after Googling it some sort of console shooter.
Would not think an Android smartphone would be able to handle it..... but I am sure it works the web page says "Android"

Philips Sonicare 4.5 Bluetooth toothbrush app

Hi,
I ordered an expensive toothbrush by Philips, it has an app that keeps track of your brushing habits.
Even tracks of certain areas you don't cover too well.
If it works that would be great.
But I haven't even received my package yet, and I just try to install the app on my phone, I get a message that It won't work because I have a rooted phone.... Well it does not really say this, it said I have a jailbroken phone. See attachment.
Now before ordering I did try to see if it would work on a rooted phone, (on my wife's oukitell) no, but with magisk hide, it worked fine...
On my Xperia xz1, with Android 9 rooted also with magisk, magisk hide does not seem to work for this app.. Not even magisk repackaging.
I looked in the play store and see that there are a few others that bump into this problem.
I found on apkmirror that version 4.2.2 does work though if anyone needs this info.
At least on a repackaged magisk, and magisk hide.. I did not yet try it if it works without those.
I wish app makers would not do this... Many banking apps and other important apps I never have a problem with.
For anyone that is interested, with magisk version 18 and magiskhide activated for the sonicare app you can use it, even after the app detected root 'jailbreak' (as Philips puts it), and you turn on magiskhide in magisk 18 for sonicare the app will work again.
Using Sonicare apk 4.8.0 & Magisk 18.1 and turn on magiskhide on almost every app (incl system apps)
but still get the detect 'jailbreak' message.
Any idea how to fix this?

The app checks following things:
Code:
String str = Build.TAGS;
if (str != null && str.contains("test-keys")) {
return "true";
}
for (String file : new String[]{"/system/app/Superuser.apk", "/sbin/su", "/system/bin/su", "/system/xbin/su", "/data/local/xbin/su", "/data/local/bin/su", "/system/sd/xbin/su", "/system/bin/failsafe/su", "/data/local/su", "/su/bin/su"}) {
if (new File(file).exists()) {
return "true";
}
}
also tests output for /system/xbin/which su and /system/bin/which su
and check for emulator
public static boolean isEmulator() {
return Build.FINGERPRINT.startsWith("generic") || Build.FINGERPRINT.startsWith(EnvironmentCompat.MEDIA_UNKNOWN) || Build.MODEL.contains("google_sdk") || Build.MODEL.contains("Emulator") || Build.MODEL.contains("Android SDK built for x86") || Build.MANUFACTURER.contains("Genymotion") || (Build.BRAND.startsWith("generic") && Build.DEVICE.startsWith("generic")) || "google_sdk".equals(Build.PRODUCT);
}
You can find application without the check here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VRqHwyN9OoHioX2-nppkJRwyQOUPAqSh .
Sadly due to paranoid developers you have to modify the app.

Thanks a ton! I've been using the app for a while, but now it came up with that blocked message. Nothing I do seems to get rid of it anymore, even Magisk Hide. I didn't update the app, either. It's really weird.
Can you tell me which class the checks are in so I can do this myself? I'd really appreciate it.
Also, can this be removed through just .smali modifications? Or does it require a full .java decompile and recompile?
(Edit: I was able to find all of the code you pointed out and change these myself - I successfully modded version 6.4.1 of the app)
And since you seem knowledgeable, another thing I'd like to do is completely disable the need to log in before using the app. I've been able to use the app for a while, and it works fine if you totally block it from the internet. If I could just disable the account check and skip straight to the main activity and make the app think I'm logged in, that would be awesome.
I'm not super skilled with modifying decompiled apps, but I'm going to try and rip out the need to log in with an account just to use the app. I'm hoping I can attach this to a debugger and see which functions I will need to change. If anyone could point me in the right direction with this, that would be awesome!

try to install the sonicare kids app on my samsung tab 3 with lieneago OS 14.1.
same problem, i try magisk hide, hide the app, hide magis, all no solution Can any help or modify the app for me? After modify i can update the app? Big Thanks
I ran into same problem.
I downloaded APK, modified methods for verifying root a tampered package, recompile, resign and it's working.
If anyone interested I can upload it somewhere, not sure if it can be uploaded on XDA directly.

No i'm not talking about kids app
I know, it is an old thread, but it is the closest thing I found to get the sonicare apps running.
A good source on how and what to patch is here: https://resources.infosecinstitute.com/topic/android-root-detection-bypass-reverse-engineering-apk/
The patched apps can be found here:
patched sonicare app (10.6.0): https://gofile.io/d/6riPuK
patched kids app (4.0.1): https://gofile.io/d/2OcFKB

Could you re-upload patch kids app? Unfortunately "This file does not exist."
Would love this patched app as well, but link no longer works.
Me too
No patched app is needed.
1. Open Magisk app*.
2. Go to "Settings".
3. Enable "Enforce DenyList".
4. Tab on "Configure DenyList".
5. Search for Sonicare app and tab on it.
6. Enable all displayed sliders. (two for me)
7. That's it.
Have fun to use Sonicare app with your rooted device.
* latest Magisk app 25.2 (25200)(33)

Thanks resi83.
I did that.
Unfortunately on my device (Galaxy Tab S2, LineageOS 17.1) I still get the jailbreak message.

Sorry to hear that, joehensley!
Described way works fine for me on two different systems without the jailbreak message or other issues:
- Galaxy S10+ (G975F) with stock firmware (one ui 4.1 aka Android 12) + rooted via Magisk
- Galaxy A5 (A520F) with LineageOS 18.1 + rooted via Magisk
I'm sorry! :-/
Maybe someone else has also tested it and can give us feedback!? (@All)
