Force touch? You maybe mean AOD Touch port by NX Team and it wasn't a "Force touch emulation" but a workaround to make touch to work without Doze panel drivers in kernel

Hello folks,
does anybody know, if it is possible to change the brightness of the capacitive buttons? Maybe some kind of app or xposed module? It is really a pain in the eye, if the display itself is acceptably dark but everytim you use the buttons it is like a kind of little flash - and yes, i know that i can disable them. But that is not the thing i want.
Hi
Is not quite what you want...is an old app and i have not tested on the S7
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haxor&hl=es
Thanks, but this is a simple overlay for the display. I am looking for something to dim the buttons only.

Hi
Check this app
Or this thread is for the S6 and you need to be root but probably works
Since those buttons are LEDs, correct me if I am wrong, you could adjust their brightness PWM style but that would require an app that would disable and enable them many times a second to not see flickering. That would eat some processing power, albeit little. And I am also pretty sure this would require root if it's actually possible at all. Don't know about any apps that do this, also wanted one for myself.

If you're in a power saving mode, it disables the button lights.

Not completly true.
You can grab the apk for smart display and it works on default configuration only which is Ambient Display and no the Always-On Display.
You can lift your device to see notifications but that's it.

does it give you info on screen all the time or only when you lift the U11?

Only when you lift. Always on is buggy, and it will begin to flash of and on after some time
There are some third party apps on google playstore that mimic Always On display of S8, dunno if it really does it or you have to pull your u11 to let it work?
You are must root for enable feature aod and install app HTC smart display from playstore

Hello,
We already can use the fingerprint sensor to open and close the notification panel and I would know if it is possible to use it for others utilities like for example touch the sensor to come Bach to the home screen.

Yes, we can. But we need an app like fingerprint gestures to do it. It's better with root.

Hello,
i tried to set GCam as standard, but I failed. I cannot change it to standard even if I disable the stock one. GCam not showing up in Default Apps -> Camera. After disabling the stock cam it just cannot open camera from lockscreen, so it doesn't recognize GCam as "true" App.
Any advice from your site?
The way I did it is I enabled the double tap power button to launch camera gesture, then the phone offered me to choose a camera app and use it as default.

And which phone do you have? I got a pocophone f2 pro and enabling doubling tapping the on off button to open the camera isn't working for me. There is still the problem, that gcam don't show up on the standard camera option
