Samsung Galaxy note 9 Tempered Glass Screen Protectors - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Accessories

As per other posts; I've gone for the amFilm glass protector for my Note 9; it worked superbly with my Note 8 and I think the glass protectors do better on the Notes than the S series; as the Note screens are less rounded
I might go for the Whitestone Dome on too; but at x3 the price of the amFilm, I'll start at the cheap end and go from there
I've also got the Unicorn Beetle Supcase for my Note 9 and will order the i-Blason Ares case too as it's more lightweight than the Supcase:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07G9CK...olid=3DTRR9QJAYDDQ&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

Already got a Glass Dome 2 pack. Using the Note 8 version for a year; I cannot think of any other product that matches it. If you use the S-Pen, it's the only option that feels like no screen protector is there, without sacrificing touch sensitivity either.

Here's what I'm going with. The loca seems to work pretty well on the wife's S9+.
https://www.sgfreshidea.com/invissh...e-tempered-glass-case-friendly-clear-set.html

I'm using edge adhesive tempered protector, and activated touch sensitivity in advanced features.... The result is amazing.
With note 9, I don't care if the protector comes with full or edge adhesive anymore.

Hi everyone. I just need feedback from someone who is using the Dome Glass Tempered Glass with Spigen Case Neo Hybrid.

I actually took the glass off my Note 8 and applied it to my 9, fits surprisingly well, though without the installation tray, it was a bit of a trick to pull off, but I managed.

Already have the case; the Dome glass arrives tomorrow along with the Dome case too (an offer on Amazon currently)
I've already got x2 amFilm glass protectors for the Note 9; so will report back on those too

Whitestone here for me as well. I have installed maybe 10 whitestones already for friends and family from S7-Note 9 & Iphones. So far it's saved the displays at least 3x and they always comment how it's way better than the random glass protectors they used to use (one spent over $150 on random protectors before I installed the whitestone).
Of course though, they aren't too confident with the installation so the job falls on to me, but it's honestly not too hard as long as you follow directions, and watching the video installation once or twice is a huge help. You get really used to it and comfortable after the first 1-2 installations.

Just using some random one that my carrier had for sale. After having little luck with Note 8 or s8 protectors I was really impressed with this one. Had to increase the touch sensitivity in the settings but it works great now. I guess the tempered glass manufactures are finally starting to get the hang of making protectors for curved screens.

I get you. I had a lot of disappointments with screen protectors in the past.

i got the dome 2 pack as well. perfect installation on first try. The best glass fit and feel I've ever seen. Definitely worth the cost if you value oem glass feel and look.

I have feedback elsewhere re this
The amFilm protector works faultlessly IMO and fits well; no issues with the Spigen case at all
No clicking, sensitivity issues at all and a very good fit. Very easy to apply too
I've got a spare; so have sent the dome glass and case back

I haven't had any issues with tempered screen protectors since the S9. The touch sensitivity option makes all of the difference. I'm currently using a Caseology tempered glass protector with no issues.

Looks like the demand is crazy high.
I am interested with the Dome glass but I applied the Nanofixit liquid protector that came free from the preorder. I am not so sure if it’s okay or not to put the glass on top of the Nanofixit.

I am thinking exactly the same.
I got the Nanofixit applied and my Dome is here waiting to be applied. But I never did this, with glass or film. And I have problems shaking. I need to find someone with the skills to do it for me.

Yup
Considering that I have a 3 year old brat and a big fat slippery hand, yes I would definitely put on a screen guard
Yes I always have one on every device that I own. I prefer tempered glass, so lets hope that someone makes one thats good quality for it.
Nope, haven't used screen protectors in more than two years. They take away the premium feel of the screen. Gonna get me a case though, since I will be carrying it around in bags an such

Anyone tried one of those spray-on screen protectors?
I remember linustechtips did a review on one with impressive results. I think it was called Liquid Armor.

Tried that Crystal spray on on my phone, did not notice any difference. Phone still got scratched .
I won't be using a Screen protector on the Nexus 9, currently have the tab S 8.4 and i use it without a SP. Screen feels so much better without that plastic on top.
I am not one for film screen protectors, but I do like the glass screen protectors
I guess the good thing about a glass protector for the Nexus 9 is that you don't have to worry about the sunken button effect that you'd get on an ipad.
Are there any for sale yet for the Nexus 9 ?

There's several hands-on videos that comment on how much glare the Nexus 9 puts out. You think any of these tempered glass screens could help reduce glare?

No idea..... Most likely will not but you never know...
Also the glass screen protector has been shipped as of this morning
I had the same question too.. The only company that claims to have anti-glare coating and a tempered glass screen protector is BodyGuardz. I talked to them earlier and they had no plans to release a Nexus 9 version, nor they have a UK presence.
Also, I havent seen many out yet (which makes sense) but there are a few on amazon. I was wondering if you came across any 'good brand' tempered glass screen protectors I can order now and hopefully will also help in reducing glare.

Any tempered glass screen protector recommendations?

Hey all,
I've used one on my note 4 since day 1 and its been the best investment. Not a single scratch on my pretty and its unnoticeable. So far on amazon I see a bunch of small brands marketing theirs. Wanted to know if anyone had an experience with Sparin, ijoy etc. Maybe the consensus is to wait for Spigen, Steinheil and others to come with theirs? Please chime in.

Nothing has worked very well on the s7 edge. I gave up after dumping about 200$ into different brands.

There are really no good curved ones for the S7 Edge except one from China and that one seems to break very easily. Doubt it will be different for the note 7. I'll either go with a flat tempered glass that only protects the flat part of the screen or the IQ liquid shield. The IQ shield that I have on my S7E is okay but nowhere near as nice as a tempered glass protector.
I'm not sure if it was a Gorilla Glass 5 sample, but I swear I saw a Samsung branded tempered glass on a YouTube video (the ones made by the reviewers) from the day of the presentation.
Give a look when the camera rolls over the accessories on the tables on stage.
I'll check it out...thanks. if I can get a glass one I will have to rotate a bunch of skinomis and Chuck em at the orange peel phase.

I ordered that one since I use their tempered screen on my Samsung Tab S2 and have had no issues so far.
I have a follow up question on this... based on the S7 edge screen protector discussion it seems that even if a protector works it doesn't work with cases. Has anyone tried modifying the case like shaving off a little bit so it fits the screen protector? I have been wondering if that could be a way to make it work.

Good Luck. There is a big difference between a flat and curved tempered glass protector. Most of the flat glass protectors work well.

Yeap, I experienced this when I bought the S6 Edge and returned it due to no tempered glass working perfectly with the Edge to Edge display. I'm hoping things improved since the curve display has been out for a while and this has a slight curve to it.
I've always used tempered glass protectors since my S4. my dad has an S6 Edge and I bought a few different tempered glass protectors and they do not work properly at all. They usually all have an "edge" adhesive. Just a strip of glue around the edge of the device instead of the whole screen like flat screen devices.
For this phone I bought the Skinomi note 7 protector.

I bought two curved glass from Amazon.
here is one https://www.amazon.com/Tempered-Pro..._SR160,160_&psc=1&refRID=Z343M09T5D72J2425XPP
If they don't work I am sending them it back for my money back. I think worse case I use the one without curves. I think the note 7 curves are at more of an angle so maybe it will not be that bad with the flat glass.
https://www.amazon.com/Protector-Te...&sr=8-1&keywords=note7+screen+protector+glass
Just played with the note 7 at the sprint store and they had a screen protector on it that only covered the flat part. Couldn't tell if it was glass or not but it definitely affected the use of the phone.

How did it affect it?
It made it hard to swipe from the edge for the edge apps. I guess not a complete deal breaker, but I would rather just go with a full coverage wet application.

Best Screen Protector for Note 7 ? Curved screen peeling concern.

My current Phone is a Note 4.
I have always used Spigen screen protectors. The one on my Note 4 was applied almost 2 years ago and it only has minor scratches.
I noticed Spigen doesn't currently have a screen protector for the Note 7. Should I wait ? If not, is there a good alternative ?
Also the screen is curved. Does this mean the screen protector peels off from the sides ?
Iq shield or skinomi

+1 for the Skinomi's , but on my Note Edge, i had that orange-like surface on the screen when looking from an angle!
I ll go for the IQ shield when i receive my phone. Had good experience in the past with it.
Trying 3 different products I was sent for review. They are in shipment...
Skinomi
IQ Shield
ArmorSuit
The Note 7 will be my first curved screen phone (upgrading from an S5) and I plan to get either an Otterbox or Spigen case for it. I had a screen protector for my GNex and hated it! Is a screen protector really necessary (or more necessary than non-curved screens)? Other than "necessity" what advantages do screen protectors add? I'm looking for some honest feedback since I have zero experience with curved phones.

I have received a slew of cases via amzreviewtrader.com
I have 6 cases so far with a bunch more in the way. Mainly from lesser known brands but I think some will do a great job.
Their is a myriad to try out. I used Versus Thor on my Note 4 & Versus Neo Hybrid (their frame is aluminum vs Spigen had plastic frame).
3 Screen protector kits (not tempura glass)
Skinomi
ArmorSuit
IQ Shield
Will share my results. After seeing that gorilla glass 5 scratch test on YouTube, I definitely want something. It's such a pain. Why can't they make something super difficult to scratch?

So those of you that have experience with the Skinomi HD Clear screen protectors, I have a question for you. I bought this case for my phone:
Galaxy Note 7 Case, Spigen® [Rugged Armor] Resilient [Black] Ultimate protection from drops and impacts for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (2016) - (562CS20403) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GIUIFEI/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_oNyTxbE3YE34X
Now this case is pretty minimal. Meaning it isn't very bulky and doesn't add a ton of protection. So with that being said, would the full coverage protector work or do I still need to go with the case friendly version? I'd appreciate any advice.
I had to get case friendly screen protectors for my S7 edge, pretty much all of my cases would lift the screen protector. I used IQshield and Skinomi full coverage on my S7 edge.
I also have the full coverage IQshield for the Note 7 and it's not installing very good. The edge is smaller on the Note 7 so the sides keep popping up. I have an Armorsuit case friendly that I will try soon.
I got the official screen protector with my note7 today at my local samsung store along with a bunch of other goodies in a cheap bundle.
the screen protector is film and not glass, but it's not flimsy, and is already pre-shaped to cater for the curve. it came with two in one pack.
the application was easy enough, as it came with dust stickers and a surprisingly high-quality hard-card with soft felt hemming on it for pushing out air bubbles.
it covers around 90% of the front glass panel, but still covers the whole display area itself, and reaches around the curves too, and is inconspicuous when put on properly.
definitely happy with it and will stick with this one until a really good quality curved glass protector comes out.

Tempered glass for spigen Rugged armor case ?

Hello all , just wanted to know since there are many reports of tempered glass protectors of all kinds of brands being dislodged by the lips of the spigen rugged Armor case, just wanted to know if you guys could let me know which decent quality brand of screen guard works with this case. Living in India just FYI. Links would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Do Tempered glass screens work with the S-pen

Hey everyone

I have the white stone dome protector and it works flawlessly with the S pen You don't even need to turn up the screen sensitivity
I wondered about liquid screen protection and I am watching one on EBay but I was wondering if normal versions work as well....i don't want to fork out all that extra if normal tempered glass works just as good as well.
I purchased the MP-MALL tempered protector and have not issues with the S-PEN. Looks good and hopefully will protect well. It is on amazon for about $12
Go with WhiteStone Dome they are tried and true. The best tempered glass I have ever used and it worked with the S-Pen and alot of cases I have tried.
Zagg one seems to work fine, imo it registers the pen better than finger keyboard stroke.
I bought a few different brands on Amazon. They all showed up in the same brown box with different labels printed out, they are fairly sharp at the top and bottoms. T-mobile has a glass cover that os actually tapered and smooth. They all work amazingly well with the pen. Although sensitivity does need to be turned up for finger use. I downloaded a multi Touch test app to confirm

The only down side is that they are over priced and they do crack easily as reported by many.
The Mocolo is half the money and is made with 9H hardness which the White Stone isn’t. The Moloco is as good or better as the whitestone, as responsive and as easy to apply.

I'm not worried about a $40 screen protector when I just paid $1,300 for the phone. I've had the screen protector on multiple phones now and I have not cracked or had any issues with any of them. Unless you're a complete klutz and you drop your phone multiple times a day you won't have any cracking issues.
i bought glass protector from aliexpress similar to whitestone dome but a lot cheaper one piece cost around 5$ only
'
first one was not perfect good thing i bought 2 extra
second piece i installed it and it fit perfectly on the screen only thing i installed a bit lower than it should be
so it almost touch the case from the lower side but there is a big gap on the upper side
i got a bubble on the lower side from testing several case because as i said it installed lower than it should be.
the spen and finger worked perfectly with it and alot better than the regular glass with matrix dots the stick from the sides only and i did not turn on screen sensitivity on both protectors
I had the ghetto whitestone setup on my Note 8 (LOCA glued a regular tempered glass screen) and now the whitestone on my Note 9. No issues at all and no changing of screen sensitivity.

I await your future posts about glue making a mess and bubbled lifting corners. Just get a wet applied plastic film , not perfect but definitely less hassle and no issues with sensitivity, I don't even have that extra sensitivity option turned on my device.

I have the white stone dome protector and it works flawlessly with the S pen You don't even need to turn up the screen sensitivity

This is my experience, as well.
They should work perfectly fine as S-Pen functions using electro-magnetism. Via the electro-magnetic Wacoom digitizer underneath the display.

Hey everyone... Thought I would update you on on my Note 9 and screen protector issue... in the end I went with the Liquid screen Protector but I didn't get WhiteStone Glass.... I used a cheaper alternative and it works really well.... Also looks really vivid.
The Ebag seller who I got it from is called Itocorp but they seems to be out of stock at the moment.
