I have found some conflicting information whether a G955W Oreo can be rooted. I have found a guide not on these forums, but I thought I should ask here. I didn't see anything on the forums.

Quick question, after searching around I cannot find a definitive solution when attempting to root my Galaxy Note Edge variant 915T.
I have found a few threads but I have been wary on if I should try them. Here is some information that I believe would be beneficial.
Device
Model Number: SM-915T

Hello, this is herna from XDA Assist.
I can´t provide you any kind of rooting mode, since I don´t have the device.
You said you saw a few threads for rooting methods, so if you see that most of users that post in those threads says it´s working, I don´t see why you should not try.
On the end, if I had to recommend I went to give you the same link for the threads that you may have visited, so on the end, you will be finishing on trying those methods.
I´ll move this thread to the help section inside Note Edge forum, and there you will get opinions from all users using the same device than you, that probably will have them devices already rooted.

Hey everyone I know this is a fairly old phone (the galaxy s6) however it's running Android 7.0 or Nougat. I have been searching XDA, but other than that I've just been finding really sketchy blogs that only half cover how to root/unlock the device. I was wondering if anyone could direct me in the correct path?
My main concern is - since the Phone is MetroPCS... will I have to unlock it before I can root it?
***Side Note:*** I could spend $20 on a code but would prefer not to as I've never had to do that.
Can I root it before I unlock it?
I ask because I found something on gsmhosting called "SM-G920T1 7.0 unlock done by great Octopus"
Which showed that the device had been rooted prior to unlock.
It's been a while since I rooted a phone so if anyone can supply a step-by-step for this exact model, I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm trying to root a Samsung S8+ (SM-G955W). I found two post about it

But I have some doubts. This device have Android 9.0 and the baseband is G95WVLU5CSC1.
Can I root that version of android? also if I follow those guides it will change to U version right? If that happen, do I will able to get access to the *#2263# service mode code?

Hi, I have a Tracfone LG Reflect (LGL555DL). I've been searching the forums and can't find information on rooting. Are there some rooting instructions for this phone? Or a way to install viper4android without root?

I see this was posted a month ago with this being the first reply. Sorry it's still to say not rootlng. I was told to try pc version. Have you had any luck on your end?
