Lost the documents app - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently got root and was moving some apps to the sd card and accidentally deleted my documents app thinking it was the "Google Documents" app for text editing, when it was actually the default file explorer on the moto 3, android 6.0. This is pretty bad because a lot of apps direct me to this app (for instance to choose a backup file like in "reddit is fun"). The documents app then instantly crashes because it's not there. It also crashes randomly everyday.
Can I download an apk of the documents app somewhere? I already searched but couldn't find any. Does anyone maybe want to get an apk file from there documents app?
tl;dr: deleted documents app, need it back

[Q] Just a couple of simple and quick questions :)

I'm just wondering is there an app that can transfer files over wi-fi? back when I was on iPhone, they had apps that allowed you to wirelessly transfer files from your PC to your phone. searched around and nothing came up.
Also I'm on CM9, is there a way to NOT sync your media that's on your SD card to the Gallery? I've only found how to not sync it with my emails. When I was on stock, the gallery didn't sync with my SD card.
Thanks in advance.
Air droid, WiFi file explorer etc. there's literally loads lol, where did you search ?

The sync issue is simple to fix also. You create a file called .nomedia and place it in what every directories you dont want to sync.
I just enable the FTP server feature in ES File Explorer, that way I can still use Windows Explorer to copy files to my phone.

So I have a main folder and then a sub folder. I created the .nomedia in the subfolder which contained what I didnt wanna sync but it still shows up in the Gallery. If i make it in the main folder then nothing syncs in the Gallery, not even the camera roll.
Did you reboot and fix permissions?

Photos I thought I deleted are showing up in Snapseed

Okay, weird issue/bug I'm having. So I downloaded some photos from an app; let's just call them private photos that I wanted to copy off of my phone. For reference, the app is called "Couple", pretty much just a communication app tailored for couples.
I downloaded two pictures, got them onto my desktop via Airdroid, then deleted the photos off my phone. Or so I thought? I downloaded the photo editing app Snapseed, and it prompts you when you open up the app to open up any pic. It'll pull up any recent pictures from your gallery. And lo and behold, the photos I thought I deleted are showing up right there. I dug in with a file explorer (Solid Explorer, also tried the stock file explorer that came with the phone), did a search for the file name and nothing's coming up. Snapseed tells you the file name, but not the file path.
Snapseed is the only app that seems to be recognizing these phantom pictures. They do not show up in my stock photo/gallery app. Nothing in file explorers, as mentioned prior. Did a search for the exact file name & other variants just in case they're in some temp folder or something, but no luck. They're not backed up to Google Photos or anything.
What I've tried:
Re-downloading the picture(s) from Couple to try and delete it again. Only creates a duplicate. So two of each would show up in Snapseed, and I'm able to delete the brand new copy, but the older ones persist.
Deleted the Couple photos folder altogether (it didn't have anything in it, figured I'd just give it a shot). Every time you save a photo from the Couple app, it creates a folder, /storage/emulated/0/Couple/Photos. Deleted it, didn't help.
Un-installed & re-installed both Couple and Snapseed. No change. Phantom photos still present.
Cleared phone cache
I did just get this phone brand new, and I could probably just do a factory reset to make this issue go away; I'd just hate to do so when I just finished installing and setting up all my apps and would have to do it all over again. I'd like to see if there's any other thing I can try. Again, these were private photos, and wouldn't want them accidentally popping up when I'm trying to do stuff in Snapseed.
Phone is a Sprint LG G6 (LG-LS993), running Android 7.0. No root.

Android folder screwing up my Note8

I think this just recently started happening but why does my Note8 keep creating a folder called Android in both my internal and SD card? In that folder are a ton of other folders. Basically one for each app on the phone. Anything I download on Chrome, goes to the com.android.chrome folder. Camera pics go to the camera folder. Amazon Mp3s go to amazonmp3 folder and so on. I don't want these things in these folders. Any Chrome downloads or camera pics don't show up in my gallery when they go to the android folder. I have to move them from that folder into another before I can see them in gallery. I removed everything, and deleted the 2 folders but when I restart my phone, they reappear and everything starts downloading to those folders again!! How can I stop this?

Dual App Whatsapp Media Location after Whatsapp Beta Update

(HELP)
I have been using two accounts of Whatsapp beta on my N20U (India).
In the last update, there seems to have been a change in the storage location of Whatsapp Media.
For the regular app - its moved from /Whatsapp/Media to /Android/media/com.whatsapp/Whatsapp/Media.
Problem is for the DualApp Whatsapp install. Earlier the media was stored in /DualApp/Whatsapp/Media. But after the Whatsapp Beta update, I cannot seem to find where the DualApp Whatsapp stores the media. Can anyone tell me where to look for the media?
Even when trying to "View Media in Gallery" - it says media cannot be found.
i have same problem also, anyone have idea what going on with the dualapp whastapp folder?
maybe it moved to android/data folder. try with solid explorer or total commander app if your current file explorer can't display that folder

its here:
Internal storage>Dual App> Android > Media > com.whatsapp > whatsapp. Hope that helps.
while on the issue of File locations can anyone help with this: In Android 8 and 9 (perhaps 10?) this path below:
Internal storage > android > Data contains a host of com. folders (for example com.google.android. youtube or com.android.gallery3d etc etc).
Now those folders used to contain temp files taking up extra storage (gallery3d for example was taking up more than 2gb) which i clear from time to time to free up storage.
Question is this: On Note 20U i cant seem to find those files and I am wondering whether anyone knows where they are or is it a case that android 11 does not create / store those files?

Make Google Photos realize there are new images

Okay this is a weird one
Google removed free photo uploads except for those uploaded on older Pixels, so I want to sync all my images to my old Pixel to get free uploads. It's not about the money, it's about the philosophy.
I found resilio, a great app to sync files between devices in almost real time. Problem is: Google Photos does not see the new images until I reboot the device or change something in this folder in a file explorer app. So, if I for example create a dummy file and delete it, Google Photos will now see the new images synced to this folder. If I don't do anything except for the sync, the pictures will never be seen by the Photos app until I reboot.
So I thought, maybe I can push the system to somehow show the new pictures to the Photos app. I tried using tasker to move the new files to another folder, but failed because I could only manage to move the whole folder or a specific file, wildcards did not seem to work.
Another idea was creating and removing a dummy file in this folder via tasker, but Google Photos still did not take notice. It seems like I have to do this manually in my file explorer to get the system to notice the change...?
Now my only idea would be to restart my phone every few hours, but this can't be the solution
Any ideas where the problem might lie and how I can solve this?
