I have the TX1541 model, 16GB ROM. I just got the device a few hours ago so here's a quick rundown of exactly what I have done with it so far.
1. Boot
2. Go through google setup
3. Install marshmallow update
4. Format Sandisk 32GB SDCard as internal storage
5. Enable Developer options, allow OEM unlock, enable USB Debugging
6. Move latest CM13 nightly and OpenGApps to internal storage using MTP
7. Boot into fastboot
8. Unlock bootloader successfully
9. Flash latest TWRP build (twrp-osprey-3.0.2-r1) successfully
10. Reboot into recovery
11. Swipe to allow TWRP to allow modifications
Now, I can't install any of the zips I moved on the device earlier because according to the log neither "storage" nor "/data" can be mounted. So obviously, if I go to Install -> Select Storage everything has "0MB" and wiping doesn't work. . Oh yeah and MTP doesn't work either so I can't really get any files on the device ATM, maybe using push in fastbooot...
I'd appreciate any help on this...
Don't wipe anything yet... Once you boot into TWRP once and allow changes to system, go to Reboot menu and reboot to Recovery again. Test to see if you can see storage now...
Encrypted?
When you format your SD card as internal, it encrypts it so that you can't use it with other phones, and it protects your data.
If you encrypted it and then installed TRWP you've essentially changed the phone, you won't be able to access it without booting into the android OS that you encrypted it on.
Hope that it wasn't what you did. Otherwise the only way in is to load it into android, connect to the computer, and get the files from there.

This is a known issue in the official version... @Alberto97 has submitted the fixes, we just need to wait until it's merged into official build.

Hello ; in TWRP 3.1.0.0 when I make a backup, everything can be saved except the data which after 35% stops with error 255. So there is something that blocks. How can I know what to remove and / or replace and / or repair this item .

Check if you're encrypted, use TWRPs file manager and go to internal SD card and see if it looks OK.
If it has weird folders, you are encrypted and backup will be impossible. To decrypt you would have to Format Data in TWRP (will remove everything in /data including internal SD card), then use a modified boot image which removed encryption (SuperSU 2.82SR3+ And Magisk before 14 does this automatically, or modify it manually).
Then download hw data and public data for C636B188 from http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/ and flash in TWRP (public first) . After that you can backup.

On the SD card, everything looks OK, no weird folder visible on the finder or even by Total Commander.
If I format everything & delete the recovery images, how do I restore?
I have an offline fimware C636B181 with UPDATE.APP and UPDATE_MHA_L29_HW_SPCSEAS.APP but is not it just updates?
Otherwise, is it possible to replace this data backup with that of another identical device (same OEM, same system ...) ?

You need to check if you're encrypted when you're in TWRP. If you already booted you'll be decrypted as it decrypts when you input pin.
To check in TWRP, use Advanced - File manager, then browse to /sdcard and see what it says. Alternatively you can check /data/app/, it should produce the same result.
Indeed, I think you're right :good: and I'm encrypted : / data / data only contains type files with names like 5uE + 5Le6p, Zs54sDTy0DB ... and the same ones in / sdcard ...
With Magisk, can we blow up this encryption without reformatting ?

No, you have to Format Data. And as of Magisk 14.3 it doesn't remove encryption by default when you install Magisk. You'll have to either pull Magisk's github and build it but with "fileencryptioninline" added again, or unpack your boot image using Android Image Kitchen and change fileencryptioninline to encryptable in hi3660.fstab.
Encryption is turned on by default by Huawei.

- in TWRP format his phone in full, internal memory and SD card = no problem
- werre can i find a modified boot image without encryption ? Create it through Magisk ?
- then by TWRP reinstall version C188 for C636: update.zip, update_data_full_public.zip then update_full_MHA-L29_hw_spcseas.zip

Found the solution, to make a backup of datas without error 255, following the information of Ante0 :good: : during the installation or re-installation or update by TWRP : just after the update, before rebooting, make the backup ( we are before the encryption of datas) ; I am trying to find the solution to make this backup later, thanks to Magisk
I wanted to update my rooted Android Nougat to Oreo and also go from SuperSU to Magisk. During that process I discovered that TWRP recovery couldn't mount my internal storage.
I quickly saw on a lot of sites that it's a well-known issue, and I solved it by converting from ext4 to ext2 and back again. Now my phone is running perfect. All apps are installed, data and settings are restored with Titanium and root with Magisk is working fine. But then I remembered about the issue with TWRP and booted into recovery - just to discover the problem is back again. I can't mount my internal storage. So I can't flash zip files, I can't do a backup etc.
When I search xda or the web in general, I can't figure out why the problem has occured again. Also I can't find out how to fix it without losing all my data. Can anybody answer these two questions? Why is this happening again and how do I permanently fix it? And can it be with all my data on my phone - because I'm not able to do a backup.

The problem occurs when you use a ROM which encrypts the software or the ROM your flashing has an encrypted kernal. The only way out is to flash a ROM which doesn't encrypt. It is a known problem with TWRP and we have to wait for the TWRP team to update TWRP to handle quota allocation.
It seems the problem is solved for me. I flashed the TWRP version from this link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77296102&postcount=1243
First I tried from Odin but it didn't work. Then I installed the TWRP app from Google Play and flashed the other file, rebooted to recovery, and it seems to work. I can mount my internal storage, make a backup etc. So this is the solution for me.
I had also similar problem of internal storage 0mb and i was not be able to mount my data
so when i flash color recovery by nobody
It's gone because it's allready patch by him

wondering if somebody can assist me with my issue. I can mount the internal storage via twrp, and can copy files etc over to the internal storage on my pc. But when i go into file manager nothing appears. even though i indicate that it show me the internal storage. any ideas?

i think you must try with different file mngr, that one have no ability or permission to read system files

TWRP sometimes can't mount the storage, the storage is encrypted, but don't worry. You can still flash your files and rewrite system partion. But in order to show the Storage, you have to use a different version of TWRP. Why am I saying this is mentioned following:
I installed the latest version of twrp, It didn't ask for any password patter to decrypt my storage. So , different XDA posts made me understand that , formatting everything, factory reset will decrypt my storage. And trust me, I have done it several time, several times my brother but it didn't decrypt my storage. I couldn't backup my ROM and without backing up my ROM, I didn't take the risk of flashing new ROM. I waited. This twrp couldn't even mount my system partion. So I seeked knowledge from different person. It took a lot of effort.
Then I learned that, I should change this version of TWRP. I changed to an older version and it didn't decrypt my internal storage after formatting, but it mounted my system partion. Since, it couldn't decrypt my internal storage, I couldn't take backup of my rom and save it to internal storage. so I inserted a pendrive in my phone, and saved the backup of my rom there.
Permanent Solution
Flashing DM Verity Force Encryption Disabler will decrypt your storage instantly. But in my case, it aroused another problem, None of the security measures of my phone worked afterwards. FOD, pin, password, pattern none of them worked. I don't know the reason but I don't suggest it with my little knowledge. but almost every rom flasher use them, so I thing I have to study about them to know how they work.
second and best option: start trying older version of TWRP, the good one will be the one to ask the password the recovery in the beginning. It will decrypt your internal storage.
I was brief here, if anyone doesn't understand these things, let me know, I will explain them step by step because I know the pain of being NEWB.
I will try to make it short. While trying to install edxposed, I messed up. It went into startloop. Then I flashed the custom ROM, twrp, base rom, formatted internal storage etc. But now I lost the access to internal storage.
So, current scenario is
1. TWRP can access internal sdcard. It's not even showing any encrypted folders, only 2 folders showing - TWRP & Obb
2. Google play can install apps, but no apps can write anything to internal storage I.e. Camera cannot save Photos, cannot save screenshot, Chrome cannot download anything etc.
3. Settings app showing 0b/0b. Es explorer showing 100% filled. Storage showing 12gb used of 56gb.
4. PC can see my phone storage but cannot paste anything in it.
So it seems to me that somehow my internal storage has become RO or something. So if anyone can help me solve this problem, I will be highly grateful. TIA
UPDATE:
problem not solved yet, but what I found is, the main problem is the root directory for the internal storage has changed somehow. By default, it resides in root/storage/emulated/0, but now it has changed to root/storage/emulated, so the apps cannot access it. Now how can I turn it back to default?

It sounds like to me you have corrupted your internal SD card you will have to format SD card instead of normal wipe and then reflash rom via Computer

Wipe vs format. Wipe is just removing files from partition without destroying the partition. Format is rebuilding the partition fresh. You did not format phone because that would fix this problem. Format data partition and this will be fixed.
I also had the same issue so i flashed stock through pc. Now its fine. Only issue is on Twrp data shows encrypted, i think i have to flash dm verity zip to decrypt it
I'm on Poco X3 device, in Corvus OS Rom, my devixe is rooted properly and flashed by the same recovery twrp, i want to install a new Kernel wich needs flashing by twrp, when i get into the recovery mode and open *install* mznu i can't browse to internal storage a. K. A (android, donwloads and other basic stuff) but for some reason i can access root files and system wich need magisk permission like on su file managers...
the question is : How can i get to donwloads and internal storage files, shall i disable some encryption, or shall i flash something called dm-no verity (idk even what it means)
Please help it's important for mme a'd
P.S i already wiped all data and i still get the same issue
