Installation Instructions
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
Coming from another rom/clean install:
Reboot to recovery, flash required firmware
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Updating from a previous build/dirty flash:
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache in recovery
Flash rom zip, gapps and any other zips you may use
Reboot
Never dirty flash from one rom to another
Builds are rootless, so to be rooted, flash your SU of choice
Substratum support is there as long as you have the latest Substratum app.
If you have any issues, grab a log after a clean flash, upload and link here please. Add steps to reproduce the issue in your post.
Do not report issues dirty flashing this over some unofficial build or with some kernel flashed.
Logcat Extreme app is great as you can choose to start recording a log just before reproducing an error and stop recording just after so you log just the part you need.
Xposed is not supported here, if you want to run it and have issues, try an Xposed thread for support and bug reports here only welcome with a clean install with no Xposed present.
Make sure to state which rom you are running when asking for support

Where is validus?
Feels very solid, just like slim used to. I like this one more than the nougat one because tipsy branding is not permanent.
Hardware button backlight was not working. I flashed the zip for p ROM, fixed it once n for all.
My only request would be to add signature spoofing since this is unofficial at the moment. I was hoping that it would be inbuilt as gzosp base is used but that's not the case. Cheers!
Can anyone add screenshots?

Swipe is a little problematic. Has to be pushed to the top for the phone to unlock.
I tried uploading the zip multiple times but it didn't work. And then suddenly its there. So let me see how can I share it with you.

I'd hate to change it after setting up everything from scratch. Any chance that it can be fixed?

This looks like CypherOS but with a lot more CM14.1 features.
Would love to try
Looking cool. One of my personal favorite ROM since mm days. But wasn't updated. Hope u will always maintain the ROM.:good:
After flashing it and fiddle with it, it really feels like CM14.1 + OMS + Pixel animated navbar.
I love it so far, since i needs some of CM14.1 features that a bit hard to find on other AOSP roms, like home long press action, live display, etc.

@Stevica Smederevac
The sources are out there, open source, everyone has the right to create and build this rom. Dadi11 won't update his ROM with the new sources, he waits for the LOS15 stable sources to get goodix and volte working. From that point onward, I see the point in creating this ROM and posting it here. Dadi11 has nothing to do with the permissions.
Does goodix work on this ROM? Thanks

The point is, the official xenon hd doesn't have the volte commits and goodix fixed. He said he'll add them when it's merged in los 15.1.
This unofficial build has it. So, if somebody needs a xenon hd ROM with all the commits, they can try this one.

Or you can use some other ones that does have that fixed. Bunch of unofficial ones . 99,9% of you are gonna flash something else as soon as it gets out so it has nothing to do with fixed or broken stuff.

And if I say I need xenon hd only. I like this ROM more.
Anyway, it's your point of view and I told you what I believe.
You flash another ROM. Let people flash this one if they want
And try supporting the person who compiled the ROM instead of saying what's the use. Feels kinda rude.

109 Kernel.

TTL Added.
Clarity Added.
Bug Fixes.
EXFAT ADDED!
Update Source.
---------------------------------------------
First time installing crDroid to your Redmi Note 4, or coming from another ROM:
Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery ( TWRP)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up
Inbuilt Super User included for ROOT. Enable it from developers option!
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. *Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
You need to flash GApps every-time you flash the ROM.
Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

Installation Instructions
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
Coming from another rom/clean install:
Reboot to recovery, flash required firmware
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Updating from a previous build/dirty flash:
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache in recovery
Flash rom zip, gapps and any other zips you may use
Reboot
Never dirty flash from one rom to another
Builds are rootless, so to be rooted, flash your SU of choice
Substratum support is there as long as you have the latest Substratum app. You can now use Substratum on Pie with GZOSP/ Validus without root if you install this key apk:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603915176
Also enable "Force authorize every theme app" in developer options.
If you have Magisk installed, Substratum will still ask for root but will still work. This way you can use it with or without root.
Choose to build and update your chosen overlays, reboot, then enable in Manager section of Substratum app.

Wow. Makes me wish my Note 3 hadn't petered out on me. If it runs half as good as the OP looks ... It'll be a great rom. Congrats. Hi @sparx.

Well it's a gorgeous OP that deserves quoting. Since that's my major role here at xda I can't believe I didn't. I'm skipping in my old age.

Those empty sections are yet to be populated as this is an early build, it's the same on all devices, but as features are added you'll see them in the relevant sections. To customise buttons, go to settings, system, buttons. Have you tried going there and changing the action for long press/ double tap on your home button?
sim card working on this rom?
i have a problem with sim card detection on android 8 & 9.
updating bootloader and modem dosent work for me.

Just clean flashed Validus-oneplus3-10.Beta.7.3-Official-20200104-1434 on my OnePlus 3T, with bitgapps and Magisk, and it went very well! Nice smooth, responsive rom, and it seems to get the system up and running a little faster than MSM XQ that I just came from. By that I mean that once my home screen shows up, I don't have to wait as long to see the widgets appear there. So, well done, and thanks for your efforts!
I have looked for a way to calibrate the display, such as is in all the other Q ROMS I've flashed.... Havoc OS, the above mentioned MSM XQ, Revenge OS, and even Evolution X. I like to set mine to Warm Amoled. I do not see a way to get that done with this ROM. Did I miss it somehow, or is that a feature to be developed sometime in the future in Validus?

That would be great, thanks! From what I remember, it has something to do with kcal color correction, or something close to that. In my opinion, MSM XQ has the best implementation of it. You may wish to take a look at their rom, and see if it's something you'd want to include in this rom.
I'd also like to say that this rom has the absolute BEST battery stats of any Q rom I've tried so far! BitGapps and Validus fit together like hand and glove, for sure! In a couple days I'll post some battery stats showing what I'm getting out of my battery now.
