Wait, you're just getting 131 update?

I received .131 OTA last night from Three UK. Apart from the security update I can't see any other material differences at the moment.

Single Sim versions are still on 130

Yeh, but for security update the file is huge, should only need to be around 60mb

This update but for the single SIM variant came through to my phone today. 782MB.
I took the SIM out before checking for updates via Settings.

I'm downloading it now while on holiday in France, EE single SIM version. Would be nice if the wi-fi I'm on was quicker than 528k download.

.134 is now listed on Firmware Finder, over a month after the EU versions get .152!!.... But it won't download!
At this rate, we'll probably get Oreo by November next year?!
Correction: Eu versions have had .152 for 2 months!

Complain to huawei and petition for them to get rid of these stupid uk region updates. We need to all be the c432 version

As far as I know UK is still part of the Europe. I don't know why Huawei think that we don't....

its the network operators (three, ee and o2) who have dictated to huawei what the firmware and updates should be. i think vodafone are the only uk network operator that supplied the c432 model which is also for UK, its just the c782 model that is crippled.

So glad I rebranded to C432, see no reason why I should be on firmware 3-4 months old when I can have pie installed right now.
EE are dog****, no reason to delay the updates yet they seem to do it just to piss off their customers.

I messed about changing an o2 single sim to dual sim but kept it at c782 and the bootloader code changed. Big mistake.
Got so fed up sold it on ebay paid the contract off took it out again on 3 for £12 a month cheaper and rebranded an already dual sim to c432 with no bootloader code changing.
All in all good business. Probably shouldnt of bothered with a huawei phone agajn though too much hassle

OTA updates for UK/Europe Mate 9?

I'm purchased a Mate 9 (MHA-L09) from 3 store in the UK last week, with 2 weeks returning windows.
So far, I'm very happy with the phone's performance and satisfied with the battery life. However, there is one issue that worry me.
The build number on the phone is B126, which from reading the threads, it was an OTA updates for Europe over 2 months ago in early December. Since then, there was a B138 OTA and now B158 update for other regions, except Europe.
So, why are Mate 9 from EU not receiving updates from Huawei? Is it because there are less phone sold in Europe, so Huawei assigns less stuff to maintain our model?
For the money Huawei charges for the Mate 9 in UK/Europe, I was expecting better timely updates for both fixes and security patch updates.
P.S. Does anyone know when the next OTA update for Europe is due?

Bought mine from carphone warehouse last month on the 13th. Unlocked/sim free/unbranded and I too am still on B126.
I have read on some Czech forum that B136 was recalled due some issues and that Huawei is working on re-releasing this update (or a newer one) in February.
As far as I remember with Huawei P9, it too had like a 3 months gap in updates since premiere
B126 has better SOT, I wouldn't worry. The European version had already 2 updates since release so it's not like they're slacking.

Is your phone suffering from a bug that you're hoping will be fixed in an update? If not then I don't think you need to worry too much about it.

A more recent Android security patch would be nice.
Also the newer updates seems to provide better support for 3rd party music widgets on lock screen. Right now I'm using Microsoft's Next lock screen, since my Audible; Pocket Casts and USB Audio Player don't have any controls on Huawei lock screen. The only problem with Next lock screen is the battery life decreases a lot, from excellent to just enough getting though 16 hours daily use.
The update for the Mate 9 is imminent. If you recall in the news Three UK launched WiFi Calling about a week ago. The Mate 9 will be getting this with the next update. I am expecting the update this month. It was going to be released sooner but a few bugs were discovered and need ironing out first.
The firmware is really stable TBH. However, it would be nice as mentioned above, if the security patch could be addressed sooner if the firmware is still being worked on.
I was wanting to update. Even thought about using funkyhuawei.... But now I'm not to bothered. As I get plenty of screen time. Easily get 2 days use and don't have any issues with notifications. So following the old saying. Don't try and fix something that's not broke.....
There is a new update for the UK model https://gavinsgadgets.com/2017/02/11/huawei-mate-9-uk-version-firmware-update-details/
There are specific new stuff for the UK within the B138, so not all B138 firmwares are equal. Details of changes in my post.
Picked up my OTA up update to 138 on Friday.
Just had to go into settings and Check for it.
All seems fine so far.

I have 1 MHA-L29 C432 B138 and when I upgraded from B126 to B138 in terms of battery consumption it got worse, I hope that's not your case.

Yes there is with WiFi calling. Activate it by going into the main settings app. Under networks , tap the MORE option. Mobile Networks and then activate it.
They are limiting update through APN settings ,each carrier has different APN.
So Sim card,APN,and Regions, decide if you get the update or no.

Trick is to have a few spare SIM cards from a couple of different networks. I go the update with my iD mobile sim inside phone though.

No,my carrier doesn't support it.
I noticed changing sim card, shows hidden applications that are not available on my carrier sim card.
CNN and another app appears on my home screen after changing sim cards.
So maybe volte is inside the firmware but hidden.

Has anyone received C185 update since April 2017??

I love Huawei - but I bought a OnePlus 5T and I don't think I'm coming back to Huawei.
It's too long. Like I'm invisible. Couldn't care less now.

Where do you live?
Example: American users, which are living in USA and bought model for USA market (region C567 ) and use american carriers, got and getting OTA. In February USA region received massive update to Oreo.
But... If american user bought phone in China and using it at home, he/she seriously decrease chances to get update.
I also had issues with ota having a c185 in Europe. It was possible to get major updates by using the 'download latest full package' tab in the updated on the phone. Incremental were more difficult so in the end I changed the phones region to c432.

I live in Lebanon and i have the C185 variant. i am still running on B188 nougat. since November 2017. today i will be trying to update via Firmware finder as it appears that the Oreo Update B360 is approved for installation for the MEA Variant C185 and for my IMEI
I suddenly received ALL the updates one by one!
Received this one today.

Huawei P20 Pro CTL09 (C782) UK carrier locked - Excruciatingly slow.

My EE UK sim locked phone is still on firmware b131 with Googles July security updates. Its at least four months out of date. I think googles current update is sept/Oct. The Google July security update will have been passed to the mobile operator by Google in June one month before its officialy released by Google. EE appears to support the idea that not releasing regular Google monthly security updates doesn't affect the phones security (being Sarcastic). These updates are well overdue.
Just received B133 update. Maybe another 2 months until we get next update. Also updates will probably be many months behind European version.
there is already a thread related to this Huawei P20 Pro Sim Free - CLT-L09 (C782) - Slow at receiving updates (still on 110)
My phone is sim locked to EE in UK clt09 (c782).
EE are very slow at updates. Is it EE or Huawei who update phone? No matter who they're still slow updated. Ive only just got 133.
Do the SIM free versions get faster updates? or not?

I'm in the UK with the same model but carrier unlocked and I got the 133 update around the middle of September, so EE could be holding it back.

02 Update
Just received Android Pie/EMUI 9 OTA update on O2 UK Pay Monthly (CLT-L09)(C782)
Bloody Three is gonna be the last as usual. Any one got Pie for L29 782 dual sim?
I think EE will be the last ones to roll it out. They're so bloody slow with updates it's a joke!
If you got the update write out the model of your phone
EE: L09 (C782): No Update

I bought mine from o2 unlocked, yet i'm using it on vodafone, no update yet...
I am very surprised to see that 2 days after I got my Pie update over the air there are still no other O2 users reporting the same. I am starting to wonder if it has anything to do with my current P20 Pro (L09 C782) being a replacement directly from Huawei for a bricked one I sent back to them in November. That would be strange, though, as I believe the speed of updates depends on the carrier and not the phone itself. Any thoughts, anyone?

Have any UK owners of EE sold M5's, received an update to Pie?

I bought a second hand, originally EE sold. M5 10.8 with LTE a month ago.
Happy with the product except for two things
For some reason EE have blocked and removed the phone functionality, even though they left SMS messaging....
I have tried to update the tablet to Pie by
Tablet....Settings...Update
Hisuite connection and update through the application
Both the above via VPN to multiple European countries
No joy, so I was wondering, has ANYONE in the UK with an EE sourced M5 received an update or is this one of those highly irritating, blocked by vendor IMEI number problems that won't be resolved until EE extract the digit from whichever dank orifice it is currently stuck in......
Nothing on mine either, been checking for months
As an update, I reached out to Huawei UK support (08000 0886700), explained my situation and I was informed that, after I gave them all my tablet details, I should expect an update within the next 1-2 weeks..... One waits with bated breath...….
Never ever buy network devices. You only have yourself to blame.

Me too 4 weeks ago wonder if it was unlocked and network changed if it would update then?
Checked my MediaPad M5 on EE today and was very excited to see that an update was available. My excitement soon waned when i saw that it was just a security patch update and not an upgrade to Android and EMUI 9
Still it's the first security update since September 2018 and it's now up to August 2019, so at least it's had something come through.
CMR-AL09
Now on: 8.0.0.203 (C440)
You mean a downgrade to Pie. It's rubbish on the M5.
