Screenshot of the buttons menu?

My navbar disappeared also, along with the status bar. Didn't uninstall or install anything. It just happened out of nowhere one day. Tried everything to get it back but no joy. Thankfully I had a nandroid backup, so just reflashed and all was ok.

Hide it app bugged.

Hello, I have a problem with the app Hide it. I used it to hide settings under apps and now I can't get to settings through the menu button or the notification bar. I have un-hide it, but it just goes back once the refresh button is pushed.
I un installed the app, still gone.
I have tried a dirty flash of syn 1.7 but still no settings.
This is quiet infuriating to be Frank. If anyone has advice please lay it on me. Thank you
*update* I restored and it fixed the problem.

Notification bar hides when unlocked

Hey guys, I'm stumped, I'm using SlimBean 2.9 and random this problemly started occuring. Whenever I unlock my phone, the notification drawer goes away and it won't come back, I've spent a lot of time looking through settings and changing things and nothing has helped. I didn't change anything when this initially happened.
The notification drawer appears when I turn the phone screen on but then it's gone when I unlock the phone.
Check that you hadn't hidden your bar in launcher settings inadvertently.

Checked and installed 3 different launchers, reset all the settings and the problem persists. By the way, I think maybe the correct name is "status bar"". It's the bar on the top that shows notifications and time and such;
So I'm guessing it's the rom, really want to try avoid reinstalling the rom if possible......It's SlimBean from SlimRom

[Q] Navigation bar has disappeared

I've got my nexus 5 for a couple of months now, and as soon as I've had it I rooted it and installed the xposed framework for modifications. I use gravity box in order to use pie controls and hide my navigation bar but I kinda miss my on-screen buttons but can't seem to find a way to do it.
Extended desktop mode is off.
I've enabled the navigation bar in gravity box for no success, and tried to used the GMD hide soft keys application but that doesn't seem to work as well (either does several other applications)..
Even tried and disabled gravity box but nav bar just won't come back..
Both the Xposed framework and Gravity box are update
.
I am using the american Nexus 5 32gb model with KK 4.4.2.
Would very much appreciate the assistance!
Either disable expanded desktop or toggle immersive mode off
Both are off (wasn't on in the first place)
You cant have navbar and pie. Its one or the other

Well you dont have to enable nav bar. That master switch in your screenshot is actually just for tweaks. So try set Pie to enable = never and leave nav bar tweaks set to off too.

I actually did that right after I saw your post, and reboot, but still nav bar doesn't seem to pop.
I really don't want to do a factory reset and am hoping to avoid it if possible :\

You should uninstall that GMD thing too.
Sure you've not edited SystemUI in any other ways? You're still on Stock ROM?

All apps I've used and didn't work were uninstalled.
I am on stock 4.4.2 ROM and I don't belive i modifies SystemUI in any way knowingly, how can I check if I have?
BTW, I really appreciate the help! Thanks!
You would know if you had.
Go into the Xposed installer app and uninstall the framework (we can reinstall it later - you wont lose any settings) then reboot. This should rule out anything xposed related. If it's still happening its nothing to do with xposed as it doesnt make changes to actual system files.

Nav bar returned!
But now of course I don't have my xposed frameworks and modules
*PROBLEM SOLVED!*
So I got up and reinstalled the xposed module and on and checked each module..
Apparently the 3 dot menu button on every application kept the navigation bar from going up.
Thanks alot rootSU for your help and guidence!

OK so now you know it IS an xposed module. Now you have to work out which one it is by disabling them all then installing the framework. Then enable one at a time (and reboot in between) to work out which one is causing the issue

No probs. Glad its sorted.
What is this 3-dot botton your referring too that solved your problem. I have the same issue and i guess it's the Gravitybox module because everytime i disable it the recent key returns. Im in lollipop as well Stock rom for xperia z3

[SOLVED] nav buttons messed up

Hey
I recently installed custom navigation bar for getting the 'options button' to get to the options in Dolby atmos. (didn't find the button ) so this app got my nav bar messed up and after installing, it still is like this. Anyone knows how to get this back to default?
Thanks!
Well I fixed it by just swapping the back and recent button in the settings app. Guess sometimes it van be easy!

You need to disable the custom navigation bar from their options.... It happens also to me after uninstalling the app. I was forced to install again and use the disable option.

Hide Navigation Bar Buttons/Immersive Mode?

Hello,
Has anyone found a way to hide the navigation bar buttons or toggle immersive mode? By having the home key buttons slide out of the way when not in use, it makes the bezels appear much smaller and really takes advantage of more screen space. Both LG and Samsung have this feature built into their system options and I've noticed how much better many apps look when it's enabled. Plus, it may help with the apparent screen burn-in issue. I just tried loading the GMD Full Screen Immersive Mode app on a demo Pixel 2 XL at a Verizon store and it kind of worked, but not in all apps. It worked great in Chrome and Maps, but not in Twitter or the NFL Mobile app. In those apps, the buttons hid out of the way, but the black bar stayed. I'm considering purchasing a Pixel 2 XL, but this one feature has been holding me back. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.
Have a great day!

Thank you sir this works perfectly, you can also enable immersive statusbar. Now my screen is seems a bit bigger and I don't have to worry about the burn in. Jesus this app just made me fall in love with this phone ?

I've tried using this on my Pixel 2 a couple times. The grant permissions are given, but the app shows it is not compatible with the device.
**UPDATE** and now just letting it sit on the test screen (had to do something else) it shows it can.

Once you've granted permission the test screen seems to stall so you need to close the app and open it again
Can someone explain how to setup adb? Thank you.

I just did this mod on my Pixel 2. I hid the navbar which gives me more screen space, very cool. Thanks.
would the 18:9 aspect ratio of the 2xl just hide the buttons or would it stretch the screen?

Did anyone else have trouble getting the permission to work? I followed exactly but got nothing.
No, no problem.
You can also LeeDroid's Shortcutter app for this purpose - I've used that to put a toggle for immersive mode in my notification shade. Both that and Custom Navigation Bar work fine on my phone, but if you are having trouble with one you could try the other. You have verified that ADB is working (e.g. a quick "adb devices")? I had to update it on my laptop before it would work with my Pixel.
I finally got it all to work just took multiple times of opening and closing the app. Are we unable to completely get rid of the nav bar without root? Im using swipe navigation but the nav bar keeps coming up.
Why can't google make this an option like samsung?
