Flash official miui ROM without re-locking bootloader! - Xiaomi Mi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Is it possible to flash miui official ROM (Recovery ROM), without re-locking bootloader? If yes, what is the procedure to flash? Please help!!!!
N.B: I have officially unlocked my bootloader.

To flash recovery rom you need stock or custom recovery. If you are using custom recovery like TWRP just flash lazyflasher after the rom. Flashing recovery rom doesn't lock your bootloader!

Recovery rom doesn't lock your bootloader. If you are using TWRP just flash lazyflasher after the rom.

Relocking is possible only with MiFlash(one of three options at bottom) - flashing guide - "fastboot update" at official download page.

[Q] How to remove colorOS

Hello,
I have a question regarding how to flash CM 11.
After unlocking the bootloader, should I install a custom recovery and flash the ROM zip from custom recovery or should I put the phone in fastboot mode and flash the rom from there (http://www.androidheadlines.com/2014/07/android-flash-oneplus-one-stock-cyanogenmod-11s.html)?
Thanks for your time!

You should download a custom recovery, personally recommend twrp. I would flash the custom ROM from the dev section in recovery, to make sure you get the most updated version.

Switching KK ROMs

Hello,
Please help me clear this up.... I have a TF300T which, until recently, had latest stock 4.2 ROM.
So I followed instructions carefully... unlocked bootloader, and successfully installed TWRP 2.8 and a custom KK ROM.
All fine but I now want to try a different one. All ROMs caution that I have to be on stock JB bootloader before installing. And that's where I get confused. Anyone can help me with precise instructions on what I need to do now, before installing a different KK ROM? Don't want to brick the tablet.
Thank you!

The prerequisite for installing a KK ROM is being on the stock JB bootloader, which you are on. Flashing the first KK Rom did not change the bootloader; it only changed the software that was run after the bootloader.
If you want to flash another KK Rom, just factory reset (from inside TWRP) and then flash the KK Rom from inside TWRP. After that, flash any GApps, mods, or kernels you want.

This is my question too!
I have a ROM that requires twrp 2.7.0.0. But the ROM I want to switch to says it needs the latest version of twrp recovery. The JB bootloader requirement makes me leery as well. I did originally start with jb 4.2. So I want to be sure as well. Can't afford to end up with a brick.

D6603 23.4.A.1.264 Lollipop 5.1.1 downgrade

Hi all i just bought this mobile and i was curious to know if it was possible to install a custom rom.
I saw that the downgrade is the only solution to root and install custom recovery.
In my case i wish to know which file i have to flash with flashtool.
Thanks all

Yes
Update:
Downgrade --> Done
Root and DualRecovery--> Done
Backup DRM TA --> done
Bootloader Unlock --> Done
I'm trying to flash custom room rebooting in Teamwin recovery the flash goes perfect but after when i reboot the Z3 it goes in boot loop and i can enter only in the recovery the Z3 won't start at all.
I've tryied with 2 custom ROm and the original rom lollipop rooted and patched.
What i do wrong? I just put the custom rom in the Micro-sd card and i flash it using the teamwin recovery (before i wipe cache and Dalvik). Do i have to flash before the boot.img?
Thanks

You are either flashing an incompatible custom ROM or your boot loader is not unlocked.
Flash a stock FTF again, then goto the dialer and dial *#*#7378423#*#* then goto service info, configuration and post here what it says in the rooting status.

Well, neither of those require an unlocked bootloader, but that should not make a difference.
What boot.img are you flashing, both of those ROMs require a stock kernel.

at moment i have a 4.4.4 stock rooted http://dl-1.va.us.xda-developers.com/3/6/5/9/5/7/4/Screenshot_2016-02-25-15-46-09.jpg?key=4YW3-mNtbisUcXLWsSrQ_g&ts=1456411770
Which procedure i have to follow to flash a custom ROM?
i normally copy the rom zip on the external micro SD card
i go to teamwin recovery i do a wipe and after i do install
The install finish and i click on reboot
DO i have to do other steps to flash the stock kernel?
i didn't flash any boot.img and kernel until now
UPDATE
problem solved i flashed the stock 5.1.1 kernel before to flash the rom and the bootloop disappeared.
Now i'm with the custom Mod there is any possibility to restore the DRM functions with the custom rom?

Well, if you only want to stay on these stock based custom rooms there was no need to unlock the bootloader. You only need that for truly custom rooms like cm or aosp.
If you want these rooms with drm keys then do this.
Restore your T A backup. This will relocate your bootloader
If this results in a boot loop, then flash a stock ftf, and do everything again EXCEPT do not unlock the bootloader this time

Unlocked Bootloader recovery

Hi,
I installed latest stock rom for 6603, made TA backup then unlocked my bootloader.
How can i install now a recovery to install costum roms?
There is no official twrp, and i didn't find unofficial one, just prerooted rom with recovery. Or thats it? I can install paranoid or other with this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/d6603-5-0-2-flashable-stock-23-1-0-690-t3056361
Or its just for locked bootloader?
Got it... http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/z3-twrp-2-8-7-0-d6603-t3273996
