Remember, this ROM build is a test. It might work just fine, or it could not boot at all. Let me know how the build goes. Also this is a 32bit rom.

Hey the LG Aristo 2 is far from dead. Right now we are experimenting on this rom. So just hang in there. The development just kick started since being released January this year(2018). Thanks to tecknight you can root and install twrp custom recovery. And now were working on lineage OS 14.1. So when this is released as a "non-buggy" rom then we pretty much have unlocked all the potential of the Device.

It's dead but I'm gonna reboot the project. I'm determined not to let the Aristo 2 die. Tomorrow I'm uploading the AtomicRom that I created using the iPioneer Rom for the Aristo. That should inspire some more development in the Aristo 2.

It's very unstable if you flash it. But I'm going to make a TWRP Backup and Upload it to remove any errors from flashing.:fingers-crossed:

Is there any simple way to port an existing ROM with the same base Android Version and same chipset? The Galaxy J2 has both and seems to have plenty of development.

Hey I'll check that out. I already ported Resurrection Remix and Lineage OS 14.1 from the LG K20 Plus, but the bugs need to be fixed. Theres an issue with the Wifi not connecting and there's an issue with the camera. It opens but shortly after it opens it says Media Server failed to start.
I haven't done much development but I can start trying to fix them. If you want to try and fix my ports here's the links:
Lineage OS 14.1 Port
Resurrection Remix Port
Here's the link I followed for porting and bug fixing.
[Guide] AIO PORTING GUIDE [MTK-QUALCOMM-RECOVERY-BUGFIX-VOLTE]
I'm about to extract the Kernel from our stock boot.img(AKA: boot.img-zimage) using Android Image Kitchen for android.
I'll make a porting thread guide for our device. It won't show you how to fix the bugs but it will show you how to do the basic things such as fixing the error in twrp from the assert. I'll try and get it done today.

Ok Sounds great im downloading your ports now. (Fair warning im a scrub) so dont expect me to work any wonders, but I'll definitely mess around and see if i accodently fix something.
Is that the Lineage Port from the 1st page of this post? Or is it a bootable buggy version?

Bootable Buggy One
Btw you don't have to be a pro to fix bugs. And I like that your up to a challenge. You remind me of me. I would do try to fix them myself but I'm up to something else with updating my ROM. My signature is a link to my thread. You could subscribe to it for the new updates. I'm releasing a new one today that will boot quicker.
Here's the zimage for future porting....
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603868521

Everything seems good on Resurrection Remix except for no camera and no LED Flashlight.
Thanks for the good port!

Did you take the LG lollipop update, is that why? The kitkat bootloaders on the V400/V410 are working fine with bumped recoveries and custom ROMs.
Maybe you could get a kitkat kdz and try restoring stock kitkat if you want to give custom recovery/ROMs a try? I'm not certain if it is safe to downgrade this bootloader. You probably ought to give the G pad dev thread a read, or post a question there and see if anyone has done it successfully before trying it.

This has the same problems as the official cm 12.1. Performance is very good, but streaming video is broken. Fire up youtube app to see what i mean.

Yep, and i had a slew of random reboots on Sultan's ROM. Any time I left Wi-Fi range, reboot. Any time I connected anything other than charging cable, reboot. It worked fine until I removed the device. It's my autistic 4yr old's tablet, so big no no. This doesn't suffer said reboots, but I need the streaming video. I had to just return to stock, update to lollipop and root. Here's hoping someone can squash the bug. So much space is wasted on stock.

I didn't get why it wasn't working in the build I already uploaded but that was using RIL-CAF so I've switched to LG's stock RIL to see what happens. LG's one is more forgiving when it comes to OS updates as I've found out while working on CM 13,14 and 14.1 for the G5.
So fingers crossed

CM14 still doesn't have a theme engine, does it?
CM without CMTE is like a car without seats ... I'll stick to 13 until they finally add it
There is a theme engine as far as I know just not so many compatible themes

I don't think so - users on other phones are having to use Substratum which is basically Layers because they don't have a CMTE on CM14
I tried Layers before on my S4 and found it absolutely crap ... you never knew if you could apply the selected theme to the framework or not, I had quite a few bootloops because of it. So yea - no CMTE means no CM14 for me :crying:

Found it! Flawless. The only thing I found is when I hit a random key, I get what sounds like a double tap, and it happens intermittently.
Fun device for the money and few lags except Swiftkey. They did a good job with memory management and build quality.

I'm using it and I really appreciate that you made that ROM available to us. No issues so far, it's stable and doesn't eat up too much RAM. Thank you for your work!

It's just security updates and upstream fixes. Sorry I am not very exciting. Not much of a dev, haha
Im having a receiving bluetooth files issue. It will send to another device but if I try to send to the tablet, theres no notification of an incoming file. I've tried from 3 devices. I'm on a earlier build though. I'm going to try the newest now
Sorry I haven't been in here much but there isn't much more I can do with these ROMs. I am past my ability

Google Apps:
I recommend using Open GApps (Platform: ARM, Version: 8.1).
Other packages like MindTheGapps might work, but I haven't tested any of these.
You tell me!
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
1. Backup your data!!! (Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. But ya still gotta remind people!)
2. Wipe your device, (I use TWRP and I do an advanced wipe)
3. Flash the ROM
4. After the ROM is flashed, go back and install OpenGapps.
5. After OpenGapps installs, go back and install Magisk
Prerequisities:
Marshmallow Bootloader installed
TWRP >= 3.2.1-2 installed

Final Notes!!!
Hi everyone! This is my first contribution to the forum. I have tested this on my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, (SM-903W). It mostly works, however, I have the Canadian variant, so I still have the bug where when you receive a call, the caller can't hear you. I you have a non-Canadian version, it should work for your phone.
Working:
Phone
Camera
GPS
WiFi
Bluetooth
Not working
Oh, I'm sure everyone will let me know!
This is my first build, so please go gently with your complaints! If something isn't working right, please post on this thread, don't PM me!

Hi GorfDroid,
Sorry about that. I reuploaded the ROM, please try it again.
I'm waiting for approval from androidfilehost.com. As soon as they approve me, I'll upload the file there.

Still getting 404 error even with refreshing. Maybe use google drive next time? It's free and you don't need approval.

(chuckle) From an English pig-dog living in Quebec, Thanks!
Once I get better, I might do a Canadian themed version. Just have to figure out how to make maple syrup and beavers look slick!
