Anyone else having camera woes? I feel like it i cant get it to focus well?
My camera is fine. Takes great pics. Only issue is the zoom.

It sounds like a crackling noise when i touch the focus

Those are not noises , more like a "nano" vibration when zooming , I have this and camera in my Nexus S is fine !!
Hello, anyone having problems with Snapchat? Frontal Camera quality is bad and when the video is replaying before sending it, it freezes, you can only hear the audio.
And my screen on time is not that Good, around 6 hours only.
Same problem here in Snapchat ! Video is freezing before sending.

No, the video quality on the mate 9 is not that nice for me, it's aspect ratio is zoomed comparing to other devices like Samsung, but it's a smooth ride for sure
Hi how good is the microphones in the mate 9 do they compare to the v20 or HTC 10?
I recorded via WhatsApp today for 5 minutes, while driving. Phone was on my lap. The pickup was fantastic and even though you can hear the road noise in the background, the vocals were clear and natural.
My HTC One Mate 8 was also pretty good, and that's the only phone of recent memory that I can compare to.
Anyone noticed when video recording in complete silence, there are weird noises? like a buzz or hiss.. weird.. wonder what it is. Its not a big enough problem to affect my OCD though.

Yep. Like a sort of crackling/hissing. Doesn't seem to occur when recording audio only, so I'm thinking it's something in the camera module, like the autofocus or OIS motors.
Sometime, I need to use sound recording by phone. How is the sound recording quality of ROG 5? Thanks!

So I used to have the samsung A71. And I go to Techno gigs alot and sometimes record a song I like to ID later. The sound quality was very good and bass did not get distorted alot, even when close to the speakers/subs. So I thought it would be the same on my S22 ultra but yesterday I went to a club and the sound is just horrible.. On a phone that costs 3x the amount. The sound is just distorted and bad.
But weirdly enough my instagram story is not distorted (filmed with the instagram camera) Anyone know why this could be?

I've got multiple video's so no finger on the microphone. I use the Spigen Thin fit case.
I live in Belgium so I got Exynos. Model number is SM-S908B/DS
In 2 weeks i'll go to the same club again. I'll try some 3rd party camera apps like Open camera and Gcam.
Honestly in the first video the sound started to open up and get better at the 10 second mark right before the video ends. Maybe it was just a matter of where you were positioned at..

No sounds like the music stop the bass and it became better. Probably the fingers according to me, well I hope so.

That's just when the bass stopped, there's speakers left, right and in front of me, so either where I aim the camera the sound will always be the same

I don't think keeping my phone horizontally will have effect on the microphone quality.
And if you mean 'zoom in mic' I disabled this

No it doesn't affect mic quality but it makes videos unwatchable to most!
On a serious note to address overloading audio or AGC on very loud inputs this is bad as I haven't seen this for many generations of Samsung devices!
Try Pro Mode (video) where you have control over audio inputs, for example.

I understand but these video's are usually only for instagram (so has to be vertical) or to find a track ID so doesnt matter how it looks, only how it sound haha
I usually film horizontal when I want to show it

FYI these video's above are filmed with Oneplus 7 pro. and the quality is pretty okay. Might return to oneplus if that's still the case.
