Need an app that displays additional contact info please - General Questions and Answers

Hi, would appreciate if anyone can recommend an app that displays additional info saved in the contact (I'm mainly after tite, company, notes).
I used to use an app called Call Informer which did just that, but then it seems the developer abandoned it and it doesn't work well anymore.
The only apps I can find do an online search while the phone is ringing in order to look up details on the number. I'm more interested in displaying data already saved in the contact.
Thanks.

Dialing from Calendar?

Surely I am not the first Android user to want to dial a number from the calendar invite?!
I found 3 apps on the market place. One free one was worthless. I paid two something for one that didn't work.
Huge problem! I get a meeting invite that has a conference call number and pin/pass code. The information is displayed as a hyperlink that when selected tries to open Google Maps. I really want to dial the phone!
Any suggestion or help greatly appreciated!

[Q] Display name with phone number via HTML link

I would like to create a link on a web page that, when clicked, displays a name for the phone number along with the phone number.
For example, suppose I have the following link:
(555) 555-5555
I would like to display "My Company" when you click on the link in the phone dialer.
On WP7, for example, the above link would result in "Unknown Contact". However, I'm sure there's a parameter that we can pass to make this work, as searching using Bing for a local business will pass that business name to the dialer app even if the business is not in your contacts.
I'm wondering if anyone has a solution for this issue. This may be OS dependent... I've looked through the standard for the "tel" URI, but I couldn't find any info regarding this issue.
THanks.

[POLL] Email-to-SMS

Hi all:
I am a developer for an app that forwards SMS (and other things) to an email address. Obviously it would be elegant to be able to reply to your SMS right from your email account, while the other side still sees your SMS in the normal way, and the app does exactly this.
But to get the reply back to the phone via email, we need the user to enter the email-to-SMS address as part of setup. You know, like [email protected] or @vtext.com. The app has a database for some countries and carriers but obviously its a drop in the bucket.
We are finding out that maybe not a lot of people know of such a feature on their phones, hence this poll! It'll help us try some other ideas, or implement this one differently.
Thanks!

PhoneLeash - free on Android Market
Rogers (in Canada) has this service.. but they charge us for it. So not many people actually have it.
Thanks to everyone who responded. As a result of the poll results, PhoneLeash now supports forwarding SMS (and missed calls, and location, and battery status) to another phone number via SMS. And replying back to these forwarded SMS' does not require an email-to-SMS feature. If you forward to a Google Voice number (or other PC-based SMS-capable services such as HeyWire, Pinger), you can use a PC, and enjoy a very nice feature set (see this review).
Thanks for the useful development for mobile users and internet users as well.
However, I'm already using this service with the help of third party i.e. TextMarketer.co.uk
Play (Poland) already has such a service. It is free for everyone. Polish speakers can check it here: http://www.blogplay.pl/2010/11/kopia-sms-na-email-beta/

Business Contacts APP

Hey everyone.
I have been searching for a good contact app to replace the default android one on my Moto Z Play.
I'm really methodical in organizing my contacts, I need them to have always name and surname, and if at first I don't know the surname of the contact I'm adding I just hate to add tips to remember who it is. What I do is to use other filds, such as company, job or position.
I really need an app that allow me to see this kind of aditional information without having to open/edit the contact, and as far as I know I can't configure the default contacts app to show it.
If any of you do know and app that allow me to show the information in the contacts list screen I would really apreciate it.
Thanks already for your attention.
Hi try rolo full version man...

SMS app to combine conversations from the same contact in the same chat window

Hy there,
I hope I posted where I should and if I didn't please tell me the correct section where I should do this. Also, I am not a developer, I do not have root on my phone. I do not want solutions that require changing XML files or anything. I am just asking about an app that I could find in the Play Store, or, maybe, and apk to download (this being the second option)
I have a problem with the messaging app since I left my HTC One S for the Nexus 5X in June 2016 and I did not find an app to replace that, not even on my current Oneplus 5T.
So, I have a contact in my phonebook saved with multiple numbers - work / mobile / home etc. and she texts SMS from either of the numbers (doesn't really matter because they are included in the carrier plan as unlimited). But my messaging app is sorting those SMS as different entries by phone number, and not by contact. So if we start a conversation in a chat window based on the home number, the answer may end up in a different chat windows (she has a dual sim phone so it depends on the settings on which is right now, and because the SMSs are "free", she tends to not look at which carrier is using, because, why would you if they are all free?), but this actually disrupts the logical flow of the conversation.
I know that a such app exists because I used it on HTC One S in 2012 and I was able to send SMS to which number I wanted to select (home / mobile / work of the same contact from the phonebook) and I had all the conversation in only one place, but after I changed on Nexus 5X and now on OnePlus 5T I can not find this feature in the installed app messenger (Google's or Oneplus's), neither on Google searches or specialized websites. I have tested some of the SMS apps, looked for settings, but all of them seem to show the SMSs based on the phone number, and not based on the contact entries.
Can someone suggest an app that could do that? Maybe I didn't search good enough.
P.S. The MMS option to send grouped messages is not an option because this means I will send the same SMS to multiple numbers, but those numbers are of the same person so there is no need to do that ...
Thank you very much for Your answer.
