So does this mean, now that we have root, we can replace the clock widget with the flip clock one? Can we just pull and push it?

Wasn't there already one on the market? I don't think we needed root to get the flip clock, it's just an app.
There's one on the market but it's not nearly as nice as the HTC version, i.e. doesn't have weather. I'd be interested in trying out the one with animations as well. Anybody know where to find it?

Ya i was just wondering this since we have root can we use the GSM hero flip clock. I was really sad when i saw our CDMA Hero's didnt have it.

Thats strange, I swore I saw that animated clock on my Sprint hero when I first got it (but removed it because I dont want a clock on my homepage). I guess it was just the other animated dial clock then?

i have no idea im a total noob on all this it took me two and a half days to fig out how to root and flash the rom but im trying to get the hang of this
yeah, im new to it(Root&Android) to.. but not hacking in general.

did you try either of these yet ...i got one from the other hero forum here on xda but it wont let me install it on my phone says cannot install on thsi phone and then a force close on my astrozip app

It's just a zip. Push it to /data/local/bootanimation.zip or /system/media/bootanimation.zip

Some dev in the market turned the nexus boot animation into a lwp, if you were to email him with a link to this thread, then he/she might be able to do it. It's a free app and in the top free section, but my phone is being tortured with experiments, so I can't check the name right now.

It works fine, and the size settings work, it's just skips slightly at the end, but it still works for it's comedic value.

I fixed this issue in version 1.3, but the problem remains for the Droid Incredible, don't really know why, this phone seems to handle the live wallpapers in a different way. I'm working on it.

just wanted to chime in and say that this app is totally worth the $1 it costs.
Hi all. I decided to install an rather new android Oreo theme for emui the other day and since then, emoji have been showing as placeholders instead of icons in the Xbox app and also when I tap a letter while using fleksy keyboard(it is supposed to show the letter being pressed, not a big vibrant emoji). I don't know if this is coincidence but it's extremely odd. I've cleared cache and did what I could but nothing has worked to return these things to normal, it's obviously not a serious problem (other than looking tacky) but I am curious to find out what caused this. My device is an frd-L04 on stock B388
I believe it's a problem with the theme. Try another theme and see if you still get it.

I had these when i was using some rom. Dont remember the name but it was a bug where notification intent is broadcast. Random ting ting. Clean flash or change rom

Thanks. Speaking of which, is there another ROM available for my j727vl (sky pro) one? This sub forum is a little unorganized. Maybe the question is has this phone been rooted? (?). Technically I don't know so much how these things work, but I know if I can get this thing rooted I can possibly get wifi hotspot working on it which would be super fantastic. Might you know? Thanks
