So, hey
I've created an application, which is designed for swapping recoveries, installing stock recoveries, and custom recoveries, by a click.
I'll be releasing beta release this week, as I need testers other than me...
What you get?
- N00b friendly, you don't have to understand a single ADB or Fastboot command, following the instructions on screen is enough.
- Up-to-date list of Stock Recoveries for almost all RUUs.
- The application is only one file, the required files such as ADB and fastboot are compressed inside the application, and extracted to temp on runtime.
- The application downloads and flashes the recovery on its own, you just press "Done!" and watch.
- You can import recoveries from your computer or the application can download a recovery for you.
- Multiple devices supported, if you have 2 HTC Sensation phones, the application will recognize both and will ask you which one you want to install the recovery to.
- Integrated MD5 comparison system, if the downloaded recovery doesn't have the right MD5, the application downloads it again until it gets the right MD5.

What I need?
I don't ask alot, I just need some of you to extract the recoveries from the RUUs you currently have and send me the file and its MD5 hash, as it's gonna be very hard for me to download each RUU and get each stock recovery from there.

P.S: The application is very stable, I've flashed 4 downloaded recoveries from the application and 4 recoveries locally from my computer, and they all worked.
The process didn't take more than 2 minutes.

This is a step-by-step showing how to extract "recovery.img" or "recovery_signed.img":
1. Open the RUU and wait until you get to the "View Readme" page where there is the picture of an HTC device.
2. Go to your temp folder (Generally on Win 7 it's in "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp")
3. Look manually for folders that have lots of characters in that format: "{XXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXX}".
4. One of them should have another folder in it and 2 files, this folder should be in that same format "{XXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXX} too.
5. There should be in that folder something named "rom.zip" or "firmware.zip", open it up, and extract the "recovery_signed.img" or "recovery.img" to any folder.
This is the image I currently need.
I'll be very grateful if you can check its MD5, put it in a zip or rar archive and send them to me. Also please send me the version of the RUU you used

Sorry, I know I'm asking a lot, but if you have other RUUs, can you share their recoveries too please?
No worries, it was a pretty simple thing to do
Unfortunately I only have that RUU on my computer as a backup in case I need to warranty my phone.
I might download the stock HTC RUUs for europe as that could always be useful.
But for the other carriers I suggest you look at this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559.
Also, you should perhaps make a list of RUUs from which you still need recoveries.

Well, if you ever download Europe RUUs, please share the Recovery Image
I know about this page, but that's a lot! My internet connection is really slow, so it's very hard to download all of that!
About the list of RUUs, it's gonna be hard doing such a thing, I may write the recoveries I already have, but creating a list will be hard.. And also, there are RUUs that are not known, such as the H3G you've got, I had to search a lot to find a download link for it
I mainly created this thread, as I know that a lot of people have different RUUs, so I can collect at least 10 recoveries a day if people really care to help

XE Recoveries may help but I never used XE in anything though, so mentioning that those are XE recoveries would be great

That´s the one that I tried.I thought it was 8 gb version firmware,but they told me that is for 4 gb version.
The problem is mine is 02.04.13 version and i tried to flash it with 14.03.13 version.Now is bricked.

Sorry to interject, but ZaYAC-ua how did you load ClockWorkMod on your Cubot (M6589?) ?. At least I'm guessing you did indicated by the CWM backup part in the above filename. I've been looking for instructions but couldn't find any. I just got my Cubot M6589 today.

Thanks ZaYAC-ua. I finally got the flash tool working after a while, but unfortunately the recovery files don't seem to work properly for my phone. Now if I try to boot to recovery the screen just goes pink and then the phone reboots as normal. I'm downloading your rom backup now, but you wouldn't happen to have a copy of the stock recovery.img would you? I didn't take a backup first, because I didn't figure out how.

PAPPAFRITAS did you magange to restore your phone???
If not the 02.04.13 firmware is online. I won't post a direct link, since I think the site is a small personal webserver, but google "A890-20130402_e2001_v89_ad1.rar" and you will find it in the last link (index of c). Password is geekbuying.com. This is someones mirror of the dropbox download which has been taken down. I have just last night unbricked my own phone with this firmware.

Ah, well then I am very grateful that you kept a copy of that rom, as the dropbox links from geekbuying have been deactivated. Your copy got me out of a real bind when I bricked my phone. Sorry that I made mention of your personal server on an open forum. I hope I haven't caused you any problems due to the extra bandwidth. PM me if you want me to pull the above posts so you don't get any more traffic.

Last week Cubot published a new ROM in their Dropbox. Just go to www.cubot.net -> service and download the file for A6589/M6589 for the download location.
Quite stable and fast. I did use SP_Flash_Tool though instead of the attached flash tool. The ROM is using the Touchwiz launcher, hopefully they will update this in a future release.
fm receiver problems
i have problems with fm receiver after adding my two sim cards with the latest firmware. Do others have this problem too? the fm receiver crashes now.

I'm having this same problem with my CUBOT M6589 (brand new). The phone boots ok, and after some minutes the screen becomes pink and reboots. May you post how you have solved this?
I've already applied the latest "new firmware" that's on cubot's website.

All you have to do is extract the zip file. You'll find a folder named dload and copy that to your P2's sdcard root. After this step shut down the phone, then press volume up+ down + power and you will be in download mode. The phone should do the rest. If it doesn't work reply back since I only tried this method on the Huawei g312

Assuming you know how to extract, modify and add superuser and su, and repack the dload/UPDATE.APP within the firmware, here's the rootable firmware:http://db.tt/fX8aodzU
Apparently Dropbox temporarily froze my account's public links because people are downloading a lot from it. It gets unlocked the next day so if you get lucky you get lucky.
[UPDATE] File no longer available because I need my public links to share files with friends and schoolmates. They kept getting temporary disabled while I was hosting these firmware files because of too many downloads per day.

It hasn't been rooted. It's just that I know someone who extracted the the system.img within the firmware to put superuser and the su binaries in then he repacked it and installed it back in his phone successfully.

I dumped on factory settings, the body can't be loaded, you choose language you press further the mistake of the master of settings and so around gets out, the body reboots and switched off. But at inclusion all around and so without the end mistake of the master of settings.Need firmware.

Had to stop hosting the file cuz my public links were getting disabled due to too many downloads per day. I need it for school and other things now.

I finally got the recovery back but still have the "This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked" message. Any help would be great.

The previous version to it was (1.24.400.2) which was floating online but it seems it's not the case anymore, if you can manage to find it you can update afterwards to (1.24.400.3) easily.
The stock rom zip file for (1.24.400.2) was named:
"2Q4DIMG_OCEAN_M_DUGL_O80_SENSE90GP_HTC_India_SEA_1.24.400.2_Radio_8998-002772-1712011153_release_519104_signed_2_4.zip"
There is the latest Europe update version(1.24.401.2) which i think it should work with your phone. Just rename the rom to "2Q4DIMG.zip" put it in the SDcard and flash it, hopefully it will work out.

Personally i didn't change so i can't speak from experience but it looks like it's possible, check the post by @allanon https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77102169&postcount=2 it should help you out. Good Luck

I successfully ran the RUU, no CID errors, but ti still tells me that the device has been flashed with unauthorized software and is locked

Is your imei still intact if not i am afraid it could be corrupted, which could mean you need to send your phone for service. Some phone brands give the same error if you root your device but from what i read so far you get this error if your EFS partition is corrupted.

I am not aware of a way if it's the case. Hopefully i am wrong. If you can use your Wifi, Sim card Data, Bluetooth ... then your EFS isn't corrupted.

Highly unlikely I can use wifi, bluetooth, etc. The phone won't boot, as soon as i try it goes straight to the bootloader :crying:

okay ! I have also been like you, I will tell you about my repair process
1. I flash twrp-3.2.1-3-ocm_171201.imghttps://github.com/sabpprook/android_device_htc_ocm/releases/download/0.0.1/twrp-3.2.1-3-ocm_171201.img and,
2. in recovery I copy file sdf1_622.imgon my PC to internal storage and edit name to sdf1.img
3, in recovery Select Advanced -> Terminal and enter
4. enter

dd if=/sdcard/sdf1.img of=/dev/block/sdf1
5. copy file 2Q4DIMG.zip (rom 1.24.400.2) to sdcard
6. in recovery select reboot -> download mode and flash firmware
but you be sure originally CID is HTC__622

Hello there.
I have got another problem once again with getting my phone into stock.
I have the HTC u11 + from Taiwan, it's on 1.24.709.93.
So before I had Magisk installed and Unlocked bootloader. It modified my bootloader and then an update came up the update 1.24.709.994. So I wanted to update to it because it's annoying that it just pops up every now and then with a popup. So at first I tried to install it via normal ways by just clicking it to install it. It didn't work, it just went up to 25% when it was trying to install and then the Red exclamation mark came up. I know you can't install an OTA if you bootloader is modified. I got the 1.24.709.93 boot.img and flashed it over fastboot and then it successfully flashed it.
So I downloaded the RUU 1.24.709.93.rar one and then changed the name to 2Q4DIMG.zip then I put it into my sd card. I boot up to my download mode and press the VolUp and start flashing the 2Q4IMG.zip file. But I keep getting the 22_RU_Header_ERROR, 22_RU_Header_ERROR, FAIL22 RU_HEADER_ERROR. I don't understand why.
Can I get some help please?

The company HTC has never released its firmware in rar format. What you downloaded is a repackaging of the firmware files. Try to flash it was not worth it. The original RUU should only be a zip and signed with the appropriate key. For example 2Q4DIMG_OCEAN_M_DUGL_O80_SENSE90gp_htc_asia_tw_1.24.709.93_Radio_8998-002772-1712201227_release_528412_signed_2_4.zip

However I really can't find any RUU files for the HTC U11 +. Could you maybe point out where it could possibly be?

You guys are the best. Thank you very much for the help. I didn't know that I had to specifically get that .zip file that had that appropriate key.
It worked flawlessly and now I updated my phone so it's perfect.
