Xiaomi fullscreen gesture app request. - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Themes, Apps, and Mods

Can anyone port our stock miui fullscreen gestures to a seperate app so we can use it on any rom we want? I really like and use those gestures as they make using a phone this big with one hand easier. Closest app I've found is T Swipe Gestures on the playstore but it isn't as fluid as stock mi gestures.

Yeah double that, would love this on other phone, but think its not as easy

Well I have used the AEX version of edge gestures. For all intents and purposes it works but it needs more tweaking to be reliable and intuitive.

I'm using Oneplus Gestures app ( come with Hide Nav Bar ) on Pie 9.0. It is not good as Miui fullscreen gestures but ok. I'm still finding the best solution

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ss.edgegestures&hl=es
Edge Gestures app can be setup exactly to mimic Miui's gestures and works fantastically.
Used on PE 8.1 and I'm now using it on PE 9.0 without any issues at all.
It's a paid app but totally worth it if you want Miui style gestures on AOSP.

Paid app but worth it.

It's true. Tried it myself. That was the only regret I had coming from stock. Awesome app!
It has all the features of Miui (and more). The only thing that is missing, are the visual effects.
A tip for everyone whos missing immersive mode (without the navigation bar/fullscreen mode). There is an app called "navigation gestures". There you can easily toggle the Fullscreen (it stays that way) and then delete the app and use the swipe navigations (it's a little tricky to re-enter the app "edge gestures" without the navigation bar, but possible.).
PS. I'm on PE 8.1.

Use an app called Fluid gestures. Works same as the RN5P miui full screen gestures.
Here's the link to the app-

Currently, it's in beta so it may contain some bugs!

fingerprint gesture

Anyone onow a way to use the fingerprint gesture to pull down the notification shade like in the pixel and the s8???? I tried some apps but they usually dnt wrk.... Is it a hardware limitation on the n5 that it might not b possible??? I tried fingerprint quick action when it was in the beta stage and it wrked great, but once it hit the playstore it stopped responding like b4....
Any one know a way?
Hardware limitation I think..
you can use a launcher called: Nova Launcher
but u need to buy the premium version.
to be more specific, it will not act the same way you are asking, in the premium features you have on screen swipe gesture where you can assign the swipe down gesture to show the notifications.
I'm using this method and it is really nice.

This is already implemented for all devices with 7.1+, backporting to previous versions is currently not planned as it would impact performance quite a lot.
Any chance we can get notification badge support?
Congratulations, excellent work.
Anyway to make swipe down gesture on home screen not to open search engine but notifications bar?
Thanks!

Hi. Can not resize Google search widgets.
This is a nice launcher! Reminds me of Xposed GEL Settings. I do have one feature request, only if possible: maybe a feature to set a custom icon per app? To clarify, I like to mix and match icons from different icon packs.

Fantastic launcher! It works really great, you did a great job. The only thing that I am missing is weather widget, like in Rootless Pixel Launcher. It just shows date, but no weather, and when I switch to rootless pixel launcher, weather widget works (android 6). Everything else is perfect!
WOW!!! Your app really comes with complete package.... I still wish you can implement force touch on Marshmallow devices...
Thank for the great app.

Why people disable NavBar?

Any reasons why people use mods/hacks to disable the navbar permanently? Samsung offers the option to do so, but why u have to disable it permanently?
Gestures navigation is not that smooth & u have to use an app.
Is there any benefits or something I'm missing?

Lol That's pretty funny tbh:laugh:
You have this big beautiful touch screen, why do I want to take up space on the screen (or have it appear/disappear) every time I want to navigate or go to the home screen? I use Gesture Control so that I just have to swipe left/right/up at the bottom and never have to see it...
Looks better and is really cool to have the whole screen.... navigation gestures works pretty well.
It's quite simple really, you get more screen real estate and you don't need to look at the ugly navbar.

Xda gestures works great especially the split pill giving additional swipes. I have some very minor delays with it though, but I can live with it. OnePlus gestures is the best so far, but it's paid.
I tried out XDA's Navigation Gestures (paid version) but find Samsung's One Hand Operation+ more enjoyable.
From the edge screen I simply swipe left to go back, to open recents I swipe up diagonally from the same place and to go home I just press the home button.

MIUI 10 like Navigation Gesture For Custom Roms

After switching to mokee rom from miui 10 only thing I missed was the navigation gesture. I think it is one oft the most beautiful implementation among all. So I was looking for third party apps to mimic miui gestures. So far I have found these to be parfect. I am using the first one right now...

Hiding navigation bar possible on Android 11?

Hello. I was wondering if there is a way to hide three button navigation bar on my 8t to use a third party gesture app.
I have root and i did try Magisk Hide Props config method by changing qemu.hw.mainkeys from 0 to 1, but nothing changed. Even after reboot the value stayed at 1, but still have the nav bar..
As far as I know, they changed something in android 11 which makes that impossible.
I tried the same with fluid n.g but it did not work
There a way to do it with adb. Haven't tested on 11 yet

Yes even the qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 mod on the build.prop doesn't work on OnePlus 8T, I have no idea why. I used MagiskHide Props module.

Theoretically root (above method) should work, it works on Pixel phones, but currently still not working on OnePlus 8T.
Don't see the problem why they removed that feature. I would gladly use the gestures on Oneplus, but the problem is that it's blocking some features on different apps where I have to press something down in the corners. I think it's because of the google assistant feature.
Why not use the stock gestures?

This doesn't mean "removing" the navbar, what you shown is changing the navigation more from navbar to navigation gestures. What people are talking here is to remove the navbar while in navbar mode, so that they can use third party navigation gestures app.
If you ask why, they (and myself too) doesn't like OnePlus' navigation gestures for certain reasons. Personally, I much prefer the old OnePlus 6 style which is swipe up from bottom left/right for "back" action.

Aka android 9 version. Android 9 also had the two button gesture option. Android 10 introduced this version of it and has been further optimized in Android 11.
Of course this is all stock android versions. Some OEM's modified it like samsung for example. Oneplus isn't responsible for this style as its stock android gesture nav. Maybe in the future oneplus will make there own but there goal is to make OOS as close to aosp as possible while still adding some built-in customization.

Yeah I don't blame OnePlus for this, and it is Google that removed android's ADB overscan feature to hide navigation bar as well. I just hoped that the root method works in OnePlus (the build.prop edit) because it works well on Pixel phones.
I am using Oneplus's gestures + Fullscreen/Immersive Gestures Magisk module, this gives me almost truly fullscreen experience. I hated the arrow key on the bottom left of the keyboard. So this solves the problem for me. Just thought I'd pitch in.

Even though u remove the bottom bar, some apps still consider the empty space there. Check keyboard for example. There is some space and a useless hide arrow on bottom left. I believe OP is looking for a solution to remove that as well(which older versions used to support using overscan). I was looking for a solution to this as well.

You still don't understand, we don't only want to hide that bar, we also want to totally disable the stock gesture so that we can REPLACE with other third party gesture app. On Android 11 the method is to use the 3-button navigation bar AND disable it, so that we can use another third party gesture like Fluid Navigation without the stock one interfering.
If you still don't understand please do not insist you do.
The only person who doesn't understand is you.
